drove this when it was 4 lanes lol
Thank you, Steve. I lived in the Yukon for almost 20 years and 5 of them were in the Log Skyscraper. I miss it sometimes, and am particularly happy to see here they are making an effort to give downtown some character.
Resettled ...
I spent a few hours in Mayo in 2016 before our bush flight to the start of a trip on the Wind. Nice to see it again. Thanks.
A Disneyland of liminal places. Beautiful. Love the video!
I drive this route pretty often
I only see snow! And then I search for it and I found that de Iqaluit is near the Arctic Circle! Cool!

Hello everyone Already 8 months in Dawson City😊
Jobs available?
I think this highway needs to upgrade to a triple lane one. There's always a lot of traffic on either Halifax or Truro end, and so many cars hog the passing lane. It's ridiculous.
I was there, in Marshalltown, the day they loaded Maud's little house on a flatbed, headed to Halifax. I took photos, as editor of the Digby Courier, and I felt a pain in my heart for this sweet woman who suffered so much and would never know the heights of her eventual popularity. I met people with hoards of her paintings, laughing and proud they bought them for 50 cents years earlier, and now they were beyond value. And I thought of how she should have been the one to have benefitted, at least financially, from her talent, tenacity and will to go on. Love you Maudie. <3
Стив, привет, я в Доусон сити уже 8 месяцев, конечно был возле Драги номер 4. Прожил тут в самый мороз, теперь уже и лето пришло😊😊😊

It struck a cord in my heart ❤️
I still live here im living there for 8 years
SWEET
M problem how I solved this
My wife and I moved to Fort Nelson in 1990. I taught at the Northern Lights College campus in town. Linda started Welcome Wagon in 1991. We had a wonderful life there until the new BC government destroyed the college. I took early retirement in 2006 and moved back to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to become the edtech facilitator at SaskPolytech. Things have changed since we left, but alot has stayed the same. I'm glad it survived Parker Lake fire.
I lived in Fort Nelson in the early 80's. I worked for Harry Clarke at Northwest Plumbing and Heating. I loved my time there and left due to personal problems . The people i come to know were the best. Dennis and Pat Skinner to name one but 40 years ago now i remember the faces but not names. I worked all over the area even up to Fort Liard and all over the oil patch. Memories of good and bad times while i was there. The good people i worked with and others i came to know will always be in my heart. Sorry some names i can't remember but faces i can . I would still like to visit there again . I wonder how many of those i knew are still alive and if they are i wish them well
We all leave with dreams of the big city, only to realize for most people a dream is all it is, and for others that dream turns into a nightmare.
I've been there 4 times and will probably have to go back soon. I expect that the lack of active people is the weather because in all the times I have been there it is a very busy place....plenty of tourists from all over the world. 3 times on a motorcycle and last summer in a van. I live just north of Toronto and love the adventure.
gloves WTF hahaha
Still changing. The quaintness is gone, too many highrises.
In German now.
Hello from Vorkuta❤ awesome video!
I grew up here and i dont recognize anything in this video! I lived there when the.condill was in full swing...as was the fronteir and fort hotel. The Bay was across from the street from the Fort where i used to shop lift cartons of cigarrettes that were stacked as a peramid in the isle. They cost 9 bucks a carton of export . The mackenzie inn was the fancy bar and hotel. The Lido theatre was my early stomping grounds...its still there but it aint a movie thestre no more. And all the mainstreet hotels aint no longer there. Now that im over the hill,...i crave to see anything from the past. But its not here anymore.....😢
Steve, hi, so I took a walk around Dawson City in winter. I have lived here all winter since October 14th, the snow has just now almost all melted🖐🖐🖐😊😊😊
Welcome downtown good city ❤canada❤
Don't think I have ever seen that language written everywhere before, that is badass.
I’ve already been in Dawson City for more than 6 months. I lived here all winter at -50°🖐🖐🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
This mountain is very similar to Mount Al-Wancheris in Algeria
Hi Steve from Dawson City, I've been here for over 6 months now. Survived the winter, frosts were down to -50°🖐🖐🖐🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I hear at even -20° half the time they gotta start their car up with jumper cables
Hello steve, I've subscribed on a few of my yt accounts over the pasy couple years, i wanted to say thank-you for being an inspiration to me, thanks to you i have decided to use the power of my Google pixel phones, and have even blught several mobile tripod/gimbles and had many ideas with even my real DSLR camera. You've indrectly given me many ideas of where filming is legally possible and have shown that you yourself have shot lots of content on google pixel phones - I like your landscape panning style of silent video/photography letting the background noises and people or scene speak for itself. I must say with all of the editing and scripting these days you don't see too many normal clips of people coming and going or something like rainy weather on a random hill side. its very unique and while i dont want to steal your style it's just me perhaps finding new techniques and skills by learning from troves of people thanks to the modern internet. You have even inspired me to go get wireless lappel microphones so i have direct audio sources for more clear conversation with others / guest . Its proven great for interviews and creative works so far. And its wonderful to see how much youve travelled. It really does give me hope and some good ideas as a young 20s guy from Halifax Thanks bro and hope youve been having a great 2024 so far, wishing you good health
