Awesome. While other do reviews on premium keyboard, this dude is coming up with real budget ones. Even explained in detail on how to open a switch. Subbed.
I've ordered the simplest one with brown switches for 38 dollars and then'll change them to gamakay Griffon. Really glad to see that there are so many cheap options on the market that were just unimaginable several years ago for those price
@@defgarbo7020 well, I am currently waiting for the keyboard to arrive at the end of the month, but I've used browns before and I think they were neat, only thing I didn't like about the sound was the sound of metal, when you quickly press the buttons. I hope that this keyboard won't have it since it has a silicon layer and foam underneath. I will certainly record the sound later and upload it onto my channel
Want to get the 75% with 2.4Ghz with some software that can map the keys. Royal Kludge M75 or something from Epomaker TH80 Pro/SE or .... ? Which one to go for if construction (dampening, sound proofing, etc) is priority. Keychron V1 Max is little costly for me for now.
@@getsmarthomeoffice Just ordered V1 Max, but with Gateron Yellow switches, as I know how they feel and I really like them. Couldn't hold back :)) Currently I am still on my K2 v2 modded and looking towards V1 Max as an upgrade in months to come - programmable, 2.4Ghz and better build are just about good reasons for USD100, unless I find an alternative maker at the same price with better build/features/acoustics. Budget would be around USD100-150, but that needs to include my preferred XDA key-caps with cyrillic, and some modding stuff. My current K2 v2 mod is: Gateron G Pro 3 Yellow switches Tape mode (2 layers) Durock stabilisers with popular mods 4mm Practik Base for vibration/sound dampening (orange) 5mm STP Biplast sound insulator (black) Poron foam between plate and PCB 0.5mm switch pads PBT XDA keycaps 1.5-1.6mm (cheap but good ones, not doubleshot) 1.5mm O-rings on XDA key-caps Quiet sure this beets even the current stock V1 Max and NyPhy Halo75 v2, when it comes to thockiness and silence, but want a new one. BTW, I noticed that not many, or close to none, options when it comes to cases w/o top cover, like the K2 (not considering the low profile ones)! More plastic/steel/aluminum = more ways to resonate.
Great and to be honest very detailed review. I'm just thinking if to buy this one (in green layout), or Ajazz AK820, or AKKO 5087A. Any recommendations here what will be the best choice? in this price area?
@@getsmarthomeoffice ah, it's also for me hard to make a decision :D I like better the 75% layout (visually) but I will probably go also with that one. Akko 75% models areeven more expensive.

I didn't test Ajazz ak820, but from the description of functionalities it seems it's better screen. But from structure and sound point of view it's hard to say until try.
I didn't try hyperx alloy fps pro and it is not available on Amazon, so I can't test it right now. But in general I think these two keyboards are different, RK is more for typing and hyperx more for gaming
