One of the two androids is smashed in frustration. Google own me a android. The second one is about to get the same fate. I have to revert to a simple third flip phone to ring out. Every time I want to type in that "Google voice assist" keeps coming up like a bad smell. Second android is not tainted and any freedom lost to do banking in the field or even text some one. I disable it but it comes back. No keyboard. I probably have to carry a laptop under my arm to do anything. I have lost weeks of business as a result. NO STARS

The reason alot of people are here to learn how to disable google assisant, is because your headphones are bad. The cables have a broken connection in either the headphone end or the part that goes in your phone. Like ffs the assisant disturbed me twice, no 3 times now while, 4 times now while writing this. I suggest getting new headphones

1:20 "Search Assistant and Voice" does NOT exist in my menu. EDIT: 1:59 I tried going into Manage Account and it looked similar, having "Home", "Personal Info" but no "Assistant." EDIT: I have a Samsung S7 if that makes any difference.

Yay, this finally allowed me to shut off that privacy invading POS! God I am sick to death of these phones listening to my personal private conversations and interrupting them on the false premise that its there to help me!
