i love these videos because i see so many decks that i wouldn't have even known existed, so whether you don't buy, buy or regret, i just enjoy being exposed to all the different art and interpretations so i can make my own call on if i want them.
Crystal Spirit was one I was really iffy about at first but I don't think I could live without now. I didn't like the faces in the stones at first, but now I love it. It's almost like each crystal is charged up with energy of a particular type and the faces give extra hints besides the color about what the card means by intuitively reading the facial expressions.

Today I spent some time looking up reviews to gather some feedback since my deck has been out there in the world. Of course, doing something like this requires a bit of a thick skin and being open to honest feedback from people, and being open to make improvements in the future and with future projects. I had to brace myself a bit based on the title of this video since I was unfamiliar with the Anti-Haul videos you've put out. I wanted to thank you for your positivity and respect you pay to all the artists out there. (I have been going through and watching a lot more of your videos as well. I LOVE THEM). I'd like to tell you that I completely respect people choosing not to back, or having extreme hesitation backing a project that isn't completed. It makes perfect sense, especially if you don't know the artist and their work pace and style. I had launched this Kickstarter as a first crowd-funded project and was new to the format myself, and as with anything new, it is quite the learning process. I am happy to say that the art was completed, ordered and shipped out on time, and I'm sure the backers were also pleased by that. I do want to thank you for that feedback as that uncertainty, that probably many people have, was not something I was fully aware of in the beginning. Many other observations you talk about in your videos are so helpful going forward as well as a maker. I admire your willingness to offer feedback to all of us. Maybe you should rename the category, "decks i regret buying " to "decks ive out grown." You mentioned you didnt really regret buying the deck but it just didn't work with you anymore so maybe that title is a little more accurate. 🤷♀️
I just have to say I love your videos, They are so much fun. And I also have to say I am loving my Zombie Tarot. I was actually a bit surprised just how much I love this deck that I only spent 20 dollars Canadian on. I was expecting it to be just another fun but just goofy theme deck but this one is actually quite clever and well thought out.
I love your anti-haul videos because everyone’s tastes are different. What you might dislike in a deck may be exactly what I love in a deck lol these vids are such a good way to expand my wishlist lol
It’s so funny because I am the same exact way with tarot 😂😂 I don’t like horror themes in my witchy practice or decor and I rarely use black.. You should see my witchy room, it looks like a fantasy land with bright colors all over the place!! ... though this can easier change if I’m attracted to the art of horror, which is the case for The Santa Muerte Tarot deck which is the closest thing to a horror deck that I have 😘

I'm so glad you're still doing this series. Flip throughs are nice and all, but seeing multiple decks that are comparable weighed against each other (even when it's just down to personal prefence) is so helpful. I don't always know what other decks are out there so thank you! Also relate to needing giant mugs of coffee to get through the day lately. Caffeine, nectar of the gods!
I feel the same way about the Shuffle Tarot. As a concept, you can get the same result by drawing two different cards from the RWS for a spread and imagining them in the opposite card and read from that.
The shuffle tarot (both decks) are the best decks (out of 50+ decks in my shelf right now) that I've encountered. The quality is amazing and the images are eloquent and add a useful twist to the standard RW. It was expensive but i do not regret getting both decks at all. It is amazing. LOVE them both. First decks my hand wants to reach for.
The first time I saw a Shuffle Tarot card, it broke my mind - in a good way! 😂 Would love to own both, but shipping is at $35 right now, so I’m holding off.
Plain speak is a quality that I absolutely love and respect in a speaker. It’s part of what makes your videos so enjoyable. I ordered my first Baba Studio deck last week. I’m super excited. I can’t wait for my Oak,Ash and Thorn!! I just discovered Kickstarter in the last six months. I agree with the points you made. I’ve also been waiting until the campaign is almost completed before taking the plunge which helps to slow down my impulsiveness and really think about why I’m wanting to back the deck.
As a Poe fan Im not even drawn to the deck. It feels "gimmicky", and not very poe-ish. The Bohemian Gothic is AMAZING! We tease you... no... fake news. Anima Mundi is so lush. Its my fave animal deck! The bloopers are the best part. Just sayin.
Absolutely agreed on the Everyday Witch Oracle. EW tarot was my first tarot love, recently got the mini, love Elizabeth Alba’s art style. Maybe the guide words on the Oracle work for a practicing witch, but for me something like “Fire Magic” is as easily achieved with an Ace of Wands and doesn’t add enough substance to a reading.

I'd be interested to see if the discrepancy in the time periods depicted in the Glastonbury Tarot is addressed in the book. It actually makes sense to me to have majors be mythological while minors are modern, as I work with majors as big, archetypal, spiritual energies at play, while minors are more situational (current). But I also totally get how the difference could feel a bit jarring. 😘
Oooh interesting decks in this one. I similarly did not back Faceted Garden despite loving Illuminated Earth; I love + have read all of Poe but the deck doesn't interest me either, but really just because the art style's not my favourite and feels a little bit to me disjointed with the subject matter (if that makes sense). Vintage Botanical Oracle I swear I had the files to print on my computer at one time! If I'm thinking of the right thing I think the creator also had files for a water droplet oracle which I did actually print and do work with. The only deck you mentioned deciding against that I do have and LOVE is Anima Mundi - it's such a good one. For crystals I have the "Crystal Wisdom Healing Oracle" by Judy Hall and I basically love it for all the reasons you love your one crystal deck -- it's detailed photographs (on a black background) and I similarly find I can work with the cards for the crystal energies too. Thanks for sharing as always - I always love these videos! ❤️❤️ As for Kickstarter... I'm on a self-imposed ban after James Eads got sooooo much of my money for add-ons to the Cosma Visions.
ME TOO re Cosma Visions. That's my only Kickstarter for (probably) a while. But I have no regrets.... ALL THE COSMA VISION THINGS! That water droplet oracle sounds interesting!!

I adore these anti-haul videos!By the way, I've heard many people saying that they feel the same as you about the Everyday Witch Oracle...and to be honest I was one of them...I was like "nope,I definately don't need this deck!"...and I saw Juli's video and I was even more convinced that I won't buy it (like Juli,I'm a non-witch doing/liking witchy things! :P )...and then I found it on special offer and I got it (lol!)...and I have to say that the guidebook and the system don't work for me at all...but the cards themselves read beautifully!(And the artwork is great!) After working with it for a month and a half intuitively, I have to say that I really enjoy working with this deck! The way I read with it, it excels in giving advice (esp. on taking action or understanding motives)! :)
I bought the Mermaid Tarot after I saw it in your walkthrough. I never read with it, some cards were oddly represented. So I ended up giving it to a friend, she really likes it 🤪🤷🏻♂️

Love the tarot deck-- strange for me because I am definitely an oracle deck reader more than tarot-- but that oracle deck just didn't hit me in the gut. The Everyday Witch Oracle is lovely (though it is too big for my hand, I have a hard time shuffling it) but I realized just now that I don't reach for it that much lately. I think for me it's because some of the keywords are so magic specific (in a way that if you do magic it's great but maybe not open enough if you don't) that sometimes I feel I need to come up with a meaning (because the meaning doesn't flow). And some cards feel too similar in their meaning too. But I love the artwork so probably gonna safe it for later when I'll dig deeper into doing magic. I also have the mini version of the tarot but looks like I'll have to buy the regular size too because there wasn't any guide book for this one and with some cards I'd love to know the artist interpretation of it. I guessed with oracle you'd choose instead of the EWO but that deck wants to kill dragons so XDD Tbh I stop and stare at every deck I see from Colette BR, but they just feel too similar to the Wisdom of the Oracle to get another. They all look lovely and I'd consider getting another one if I'd want to replace the WotO but I don't think that will happen any time soon. :D But your crystal deck for studying crystals looks lovely, so added to my BD wish list :D Have you seen the Crystal grid oracle btw? Thoughts? :D Speaking of the Zombie Tarot. Mine seems to be not cut evenly :/ some cards are longer and wider than the others was this the case with you? I commented on the publisher's insta about this but haven't got a reply.
I love the Believe in your own Magic Deck, never thought of using it with the Everyday Witch Tarot, I will have to try it. The Everyday Witch Oracle doesn't work for me either, was pretty excited when it arrived and ended up pretty disappointed with it tbh. I have used my Crystal Spirit Oracle Deck once and never liked it at all. I have all her decks but to be honest I am all Collette Baron Reid(ed) out. She reminds me of Doreen Virtue churning out the same stuff in different packaging, that is why I won't be buying her 7 energies, got one you have them all really.
I don't think it's a coincidence that the decks of hers i love the most are among her earliest (Enchanted Map & Wisdom of the Oracle). They are falling flat more and more, lately.
Any new thoughts on the White Numen? I have the Oak, Ash & Thorn and I love it, but I'm so tempted to get this one too because it feels different enough XD

I’ve been looking for a deck that depicts contemporary scenes similar to the Everyday Witch Tarot. I love the modern scenes and the style of art work. I was a millisecond away from tapping the purchase button and stopped myself. I just don’t resonate with the witch hats, and they throw me off. It’s feels too much like Halloween or something, for me and I wanted it to be a deck that I would use all the time (not just at Halloween). So, I’ve been looking at the Anna K, Dreaming Way, and various other contemporary decks with scenes set in the modern day here and now. So far, I’ve had no luck with really resonating with any of them. I most find them beautiful and I enjoy the art work, but I’m looking for a working deck. The way I decide, after I am initially drawn to the artwork is to look at my soul cards in the deck (Fool, Emperor, and Death). If I am excited about, resonate with, and am drawn to those cards specifically then I’ll pull the trigger. I only have a few tarot decks: Celtic Wisdom Tarot, Tarot of Trees, Shadowscapes, Monstarot, and the Dark Mansion Tarot. I think that’s ok though, especially since I am not a professional tarot reader and only read for myself. I am seriously considering Oak, Ash and Thorn. And I am seriously considering the 10th anniversary, 4th edition of the Tarot of Trees. And I am patiently waiting for Catrin Welz-Stein’s Tarot to come out on US Games. 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you for taking the time to make such fun videos! 💛
Contemporary decks.... what about This Might Hurt Tarot? It's indie, so a bit pricier, but it's FANTASTIC and my #1 deck for client readings. A mass market modern deck is Poppy Palin's Everday Enchantment Tarot. Might want to look at that one. Anna K feels medieval to me.

It truly was a bummer about the EDW Oracle. I absolutely loved the images, and they did a much better job in the diversity department. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, sigh. The Shuffle Tarot is a fun idea, but given that the traditional RWS still doesn't attract me all that much, that one was an easy pass for me. I love Edgar Allan Poe but was waffling on the deck until an offline friend who knows nothing about tarot gifted to me as a surprise! Thanks for another fun antihaul, lovely! 💜
Yep, Dame Darcy mermaid over the other one. How many times have I turned down a deck because there were only a few wow-cards and a lot of meh-cards... not to mention eewww-cards... And it's weird, but maybe there's such a thing as too much Disney... 🤔

You put in the list one of my favorite Goddess decks 😕 And I like also the Avalon Mists Oracle. Instead, I agree on Crystal Spirits. I love the pictures on the cards, but the quality is poor, the Rhodonite card shows a Rhodochrosite and the messages are confusing and sometimes wrong. I have the deck but still using the app for short messages. I was attracted by the Stone Deck, because it contains a lot of Crystals, and I am a Crystal Therapyst (and collect Crystal decks)
That Rhodonite v Rhodochrosite would absolutely be a deal breaker for me. Glad I didn't scoop it up! You may really love the Stone Deck and it's so affordable!

Really fun Lisa - I want that Siren's Melody now! 😂 In all honesty for me I think the decks get chosen by default - I know that sounds odd but what I mean is I want a deck so much but I know I want others more so I hang around and then I either miss out and don't mind or have the chance to get it only to realise that again something else trumps it - I've had this again and again with decks like The Muse Tarot and The Textured Tarot. I missed the kickstarter for Bonestone and Earthflesh but when it came out on Etsy and got it immediately because I knew I had to have it but certain other decks have been on my list for so long and I know I will get them eventually whereas other decks just sort of stay on the list until actually I realise I've gone off them. I think its because there is obviously so much choice these days - amazing mass market and independent decks. For so long I thought that really the RWS was all there was 😂 until I fell into the rabbit hole of alternative decks a few years ago and realised how big it really is! Love the anti-hauls too Lisa - always interesting and fun 💓 Xxxx

It very well may be! It's more artistically jarring then anything, but I agree, there is a logic to it that I could see working energetically!

The only deck you mentioned deciding against that I do have and LOVE is Anima Mundi - it's such a good one. For crystals I have the "Crystal Wisdom Healing Oracle" by Judy Hall and I basically love it for all the reasons you love your one crystal deck -- it's detailed photographs (on a black background) and I similarly find I can work with the cards for the crystal energies too. Thanks for sharing as always - I always love these videos! ❤️❤️ As for Kickstarter... I'm on a self-imposed ban after James Eads got sooooo much of my money for add-ons to the Cosma Visions.
ME TOO re Cosma Visions. That's my only Kickstarter for (probably) a while. But I have no regrets.... ALL THE COSMA VISION THINGS! That water droplet oracle sounds interesting!!

I adore these anti-haul videos!By the way, I've heard many people saying that they feel the same as you about the Everyday Witch Oracle...and to be honest I was one of them...I was like "nope,I definately don't need this deck!"...and I saw Juli's video and I was even more convinced that I won't buy it (like Juli,I'm a non-witch doing/liking witchy things! :P )...and then I found it on special offer and I got it (lol!)...and I have to say that the guidebook and the system don't work for me at all...but the cards themselves read beautifully!(And the artwork is great!) After working with it for a month and a half intuitively, I have to say that I really enjoy working with this deck! The way I read with it, it excels in giving advice (esp. on taking action or understanding motives)! :)

The Everyday Witch Oracle is lovely (though it is too big for my hand, I have a hard time shuffling it) but I realized just now that I don't reach for it that much lately. I think for me it's because some of the keywords are so magic specific (in a way that if you do magic it's great but maybe not open enough if you don't) that sometimes I feel I need to come up with a meaning (because the meaning doesn't flow). And some cards feel too similar in their meaning too. But I love the artwork so probably gonna safe it for later when I'll dig deeper into doing magic. I also have the mini version of the tarot but looks like I'll have to buy the regular size too because there wasn't any guide book for this one and with some cards I'd love to know the artist interpretation of it. I guessed with oracle you'd choose instead of the EWO but that deck wants to kill dragons so XDD
Tbh I stop and stare at every deck I see from Colette BR, but they just feel too similar to the Wisdom of the Oracle to get another. They all look lovely and I'd consider getting another one if I'd want to replace the WotO but I don't think that will happen any time soon. :D But your crystal deck for studying crystals looks lovely, so added to my BD wish list :D Have you seen the Crystal grid oracle btw? Thoughts? :D
Speaking of the Zombie Tarot. Mine seems to be not cut evenly :/ some cards are longer and wider than the others was this the case with you? I commented on the publisher's insta about this but haven't got a reply.

I love the Believe in your own Magic Deck, never thought of using it with the Everyday Witch Tarot, I will have to try it. The Everyday Witch Oracle doesn't work for me either, was pretty excited when it arrived and ended up pretty disappointed with it tbh. I have used my Crystal Spirit Oracle Deck once and never liked it at all. I have all her decks but to be honest I am all Collette Baron Reid(ed) out. She reminds me of Doreen Virtue churning out the same stuff in different packaging, that is why I won't be buying her 7 energies, got one you have them all really.
I don't think it's a coincidence that the decks of hers i love the most are among her earliest (Enchanted Map & Wisdom of the Oracle). They are falling flat more and more, lately.

I’ve been looking for a deck that depicts contemporary scenes similar to the Everyday Witch Tarot. I love the modern scenes and the style of art work. I was a millisecond away from tapping the purchase button and stopped myself. I just don’t resonate with the witch hats, and they throw me off. It’s feels too much like Halloween or something, for me and I wanted it to be a deck that I would use all the time (not just at Halloween). So, I’ve been looking at the Anna K, Dreaming Way, and various other contemporary decks with scenes set in the modern day here and now. So far, I’ve had no luck with really resonating with any of them. I most find them beautiful and I enjoy the art work, but I’m looking for a working deck. The way I decide, after I am initially drawn to the artwork is to look at my soul cards in the deck (Fool, Emperor, and Death). If I am excited about, resonate with, and am drawn to those cards specifically then I’ll pull the trigger. I only have a few tarot decks: Celtic Wisdom Tarot, Tarot of Trees, Shadowscapes, Monstarot, and the Dark Mansion Tarot. I think that’s ok though, especially since I am not a professional tarot reader and only read for myself. I am seriously considering Oak, Ash and Thorn. And I am seriously considering the 10th anniversary, 4th edition of the Tarot of Trees. And I am patiently waiting for Catrin Welz-Stein’s Tarot to come out on US Games. 🤷🏼♀️ Thank you for taking the time to make such fun videos! 💛
Contemporary decks.... what about This Might Hurt Tarot? It's indie, so a bit pricier, but it's FANTASTIC and my #1 deck for client readings. A mass market modern deck is Poppy Palin's Everday Enchantment Tarot. Might want to look at that one. Anna K feels medieval to me.

It truly was a bummer about the EDW Oracle. I absolutely loved the images, and they did a much better job in the diversity department. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, sigh. The Shuffle Tarot is a fun idea, but given that the traditional RWS still doesn't attract me all that much, that one was an easy pass for me. I love Edgar Allan Poe but was waffling on the deck until an offline friend who knows nothing about tarot gifted to me as a surprise! Thanks for another fun antihaul, lovely! 💜

You put in the list one of my favorite Goddess decks 😕 And I like also the Avalon Mists Oracle. Instead, I agree on Crystal Spirits. I love the pictures on the cards, but the quality is poor, the Rhodonite card shows a Rhodochrosite and the messages are confusing and sometimes wrong. I have the deck but still using the app for short messages. I was attracted by the Stone Deck, because it contains a lot of Crystals, and I am a Crystal Therapyst (and collect Crystal decks)
That Rhodonite v Rhodochrosite would absolutely be a deal breaker for me. Glad I didn't scoop it up! You may really love the Stone Deck and it's so affordable!

Really fun Lisa - I want that Siren's Melody now! 😂 In all honesty for me I think the decks get chosen by default - I know that sounds odd but what I mean is I want a deck so much but I know I want others more so I hang around and then I either miss out and don't mind or have the chance to get it only to realise that again something else trumps it - I've had this again and again with decks like The Muse Tarot and The Textured Tarot. I missed the kickstarter for Bonestone and Earthflesh but when it came out on Etsy and got it immediately because I knew I had to have it but certain other decks have been on my list for so long and I know I will get them eventually whereas other decks just sort of stay on the list until actually I realise I've gone off them. I think its because there is obviously so much choice these days - amazing mass market and independent decks. For so long I thought that really the RWS was all there was 😂 until I fell into the rabbit hole of alternative decks a few years ago and realised how big it really is! Love the anti-hauls too Lisa - always interesting and fun 💓 Xxxx
