CP is always a fire guest. His knowledge of the game, and his willingness to speak with candor about his career/the league in general, is refreshing. Loved the segment (starts at 18:17) where JJ brings up manipulating the game, and the later lesson/message CP had about it: Why shouldn't you give your full attention/bandwidth to the one in-bounds play? Why shouldn't you when you know its potential impact on the outcome of a game? Doing so doesn't guarantee you'll move the needle, of course; but you do create at least one more opportunity to do so; love that mentality.

Chris Paul's explanation of the sweep through reminds me of Raja Bell one time talking about flopping. Bell said that when he went against someone like Kobe that if he put his shoulder into to you to push off and get room that if you decided to push back with your chest refs would often call a defensive foul so knowing that the counter was to flop and hopefully get an offensive foul call. He said that yeah, it's not a great look but depending on how the game is called you need to have counters in place.
As a Suns fan this was fun because we've had a good tradition of great point guard play, Paul continues that, and he gives us a chance to win a title. It won't be easy, Warriors are tough, Bucks are tough, lot of obstacles in the way but we're there and you can tell he's not satisfied so he's going to fight until the end whatever that ending is and that's all you can ask for.

Thoroughly enjoyed as always. As a lifelong Suns fan, we are extremely grateful to have CP as a collective. I've always had great respect for him as an obvious hall of famer, but it's just different to have him on my team and leading us. It's gonna be amazing if we can win this championship for the franchise, him, and us fans. As you alluded to in previous videos I do strongly believe we will, especially if we pick up Eric Gordon.
    a few side notes:
    - he better help y'all get Book on the show
    - JJ, it's a shame (but not really because I understand your reasoning) you didn't hold out on retirement a bit longer because at this point in this season I'm almost positive the Suns woulda signed you and you woulda been a seamless fit on the court and in the locker room, and y'all two deserved another shot at a title.
    - I'm almost certain the player you were talking about in regards to steals was Monta Ellis.
    - if the Suns finish around 70 wins, co-MVP with him and Book should be a real consideration

@@tremain7056 so, if you had the power, you’d sacrifice your team potentially bouncing the Suns just so Chris Paul could win a ring? I wouldn’t but I guess I’m just competitive in that sense. Either your team is good and lucky enough to win or it’s not, I believe.

As someone who watches basketball everyday I will say I agree with CP3 on the rip through stuff. It's not that hard to learn the game if you're profession is basketball. It feels like with analytics and stuff the game has been changed so there less styles of play with not just teams but players. It's like there is an effort for everyone to play a few ways instead of to the strengths of their actual abilities which include knowing the game and rules to develop moves that let you take advantage of opponents
