- I have wanted to do the center console swap in my 3rd gen Cummins for a while now and it is finally getting done. I wanted to do it in a different was then most other people are doing this swap because I wanted to keep my lower seat storage in the truck and seeing how the new console doesn't have the lower seat storage I definitely needed to find a way to keep it. If your curious to how you can get a way with just swapping the top half of these center consoles this is the video for you.

Golden! Had my 2005 since new, only 45K miles. Gonna keep it to the grave, but want to give it a small facelift. This was the first "easy" upgrade I was gonna do. Finally gulped, paid the money, and got a new one off Ebay, and went out to do the 5 minute change out just like you. Two days later I found your video. Only thing I'm a little disappointed about is there seems to be a bunch of different variations on the console. Mine is the gray vinyl but with cheap looking fabric down the sides, yours looks like a nicer version. With what I paid for mine, I would have thought it was the premo line.
Anyway, I appreciated the heck out of the video, and just based on it, I subbed to the channel.
Thank you for the sub!! I got lucky on this one, it's not a high level console but I do like how well it matches my interior and I agree there is no way I'm setting rid of this truck either.

Manual here and I hit the console with spirited shifting. Already had mine done. I undid the hinges however. Also to keep my under seat storage. Don’t forget to flip the rear seat latches to enable fold down rear seats.

I did not hook one up because I still need to get one to put back into the new console, I keep forgetting about it to be honest.

Anything 4th gen would work, 09 to that 19 mark. I would imagine the 5th gen console would work but I can’t tell you for sure.

Nice, I want to do this to mine. I always slam dunk coffee in the other cup holders. 😂 Some how I always forget I have a drink down there. Any lead on a 4th gen console, and how much? The wcfab 2nd gen swap and fuel wiped out my savings. I just ordered parts for a bi xenon morimoto 5.0 d2s retrofit, and I want to do this next check. Back to paycheck to paycheck 😅 Going to color match white housings.
Keep you eye on market place they usually pop up pretty cheap, I will let you know if I find one around here I will try to let you know about it or pick it up

I ran out to my truck at 3am to see if I had that hidden storage compartment. I had no idea.
Its a cool feature and they hid it really well
What head unit and bezel did you use
Might be a dumb question but could you not just take out the top 2 bolts on each console to swap it over?
I tried that originally but that top part is different, I can’t remember exactly but I started out taking those 2 bolts out and there was more to it. Sorry I don’t remember what it was exactly but I know there was something more to it.
So correct me if I'm wrong here but don't you now have 6 useless cup holders. How do you shift if you got a drink in any of the new top cup holders? Looks like they will all be in the way of your arm depending on the gear. Surprised nobody mentioned it.
In all honesty, on the console the far right is good. Middle and left not so much and the down low cup holders you already know about them.
Did you cut the unneccassary brackets off the new one where the third bolt is
No sorry I should have shown that, there are 2 10mm nuts that hold those little brackets on so they come off of the new console really easy
Can I swap 02 crew cab front seats to a regular cab 02 dodge truck??

4th gen 09 to 18 but I personally can’t confirm 5th gen trucks even though they should be the same
HOW DID YOU INSTALL THE SPIKES ON THE FRONT GRILLE AND WHERE DID YOU FIND THEM.I WANT SOME RED ONES FOR MY RAM
They are pretty easy, they have a nice machine screw in the back of them and you just put them together in a hole. It's been so long sense I have looked for them but I would think Amazon should have something, I got them from Over Kill Fab but they came chrome and I just had to sand them real good and paint them.

Every once in a while you can find one pretty cheap, but most of the time you’re right they are priced a little high.
What brand rock sliders are you using
They are Apex LED brand rock lights, they are bright for an 8 piece set but about a year ago my controller went out so I tried to get a hold of them to get a replacement and they ghosted me pretty hard so I’m going to change them out but I just don’t know with what yet.
