Full Droid Building Experience at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge | Walt Disney World

  • Bright suns! ~Leap~ along with us as we head into Droid Depot at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to build our very own droid!
    Located on the planet of Batuu inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Droid Depot allows Black Spire Outpost travelers to build a ~toadally~ personalized droid from scratch. Once inside (0:13), guests can begin shopping for parts for their droid (0:36), either BB-series or R-series, and bring them back to the building station (1:04). There, they will put their new best friend together (2:12) until it is ready for activation (6:10), when they will experience the ~frogtastic~ feeling of watching the droid come to life (6:48). Because there is a “no roaming policy” in Galaxy’s Edge, droids are placed in a box (9:09) for their new owners to carry around the park. The experience costs $99 and is ~toadally~ worth it in our experience!
    Make sure to read our full Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge guide before ~hopping~ into the park: www.undercovertourist.com/blo...

      I would Build a R-Series Droid, and It would be a Colorful one, It would have a White Body, a White Dome Head, Blue legs, and It's Name would Be.......(Drum Rolls)........M-I-C-K-2020, But It's Nickname would be Mick, also It'll have White and Blue Accessories too.

  • @vanillune
    @vanillune Před 3 lety +18

    Some people say that the droid is better than the lightsaber, but you can barely customize the droid, there’s like 4-6 color options to pick from and none of them look particularly nice together if you mix them, much too vibrant for that. Like, say you wanted to make a white bb droid with like, pink accents. You can’t really do that. The R series do have more customization, but the point still stands. The colors they offer clash too much with each other and there’s only so many combos you can make that will look decent. They’re also super small imo.
    Edit: I totally forgot about the sub par remote they give you. Really Disney? Come on.

    Built a BB unit at WDW Galaxy's Edge a week ago. What a piece of junk. If the unit hits a bump the head falls off and once the unit sits idle for a few minutes it won't work. Had to open it up nd tun it off then on to work. If I was still in the park I would return it for a refund.

      @drewwar9344 Před 3 lety

      1st off that's what you get for buying the BB unit its head is only held on by magnets 2nd The droid goes into sleep mode When not being active unless If you turn off the controller then it doesn't go to sleep and I'll make random noises and move I don't know what you expected from a ball and a magnet

    • @mariahmorales6834
      @mariahmorales6834 Před rokem +1

      There’s a test area across the way from the depot where you can play and interact with other droids. It’s a liability to have these things roaming the park. People can trip and fall and sue or someone could accidentally (or if spiteful) purposefully kick it and break your new companion. It’s better this way. Plus it still interacts while in the box/bag! It makes noises and turns it’s head interacting with you and other droids passing by!

      @rachanataparia Před 4 lety

      You can, but don’t need to. It’s quicker if you do, but there is a high chance that you will still make one if you don’t have a reservation. However for making a custom lightsaber at Savi’s workshop, a reservation is highly recommended. Have fun and hope this helps! I made mine recently and I think that it is fully worth it. I recommend the R2 units though. Thank you!
