Especially fun if you're French. 🤔 I remember a mate ringing me at halftime when the ABs were up 24-10 (it was about 5am in NZ) and we were thinking we had this in the bag. Talk about a game of 2 halves. The French came out and gave us a lesson in rugby in the 2nd half.

Two All Black games which would be worth watching for differing reasons would be the 2nd test against the British and Irish Lions in 2005 where Dan Carter scored an ABs record 33 points against the Lions and the final of the Rugby World Cup in 2011 where they played France. This was a low scoring came (8-7), where each team had ascendancy at different times of the game and either team could've won it. The most exciting domestic game I've seen was Munster v Wasps in the Heineken Cup semi-final 2003. Real back and forth between two European super-powers of that era. Actually one of the most ridiculous domestic games happened this weekend between Bristol and Harlequins. Two attacking teams going toe-to-toe into extra-time (or overtime you might call it).

The All Blacks are the most successful INTERNATIONAL sports team (any sports) in history beginning in their first test match in 1903 with a win/loss record of over 77%. Their closest rival are the Spring Bok of South Africa who have won 40% of their matches against the All Blacks followed by the Wallabies (Australia) with a win ration of 39% against the All Blacks. The 2015 Rugby World Cup final is also epic but the All Black vs France quarter final in the same tornament is how we would all like to see our rugby played (the game played in heaven).
For tension and result I would have thought the game between Ireland and New Zealand where the AB's came back in the last few minutes aftet an unbelievable continued set of play to break the hearts of all Irish supporters and take the win. That show's why New Zealand is the best 80+ minute team. What they always do in the final 20+ minutes is what makes a truly great team. Sorry O can't remeber yhe year.

Don't forget, you can have twice as much fun if you get into League as well as Union. For a good taste of League, try a State of Origin match. Three games played over a couple of week between two teams that only exist during the Origin, but have some of the best plays with the biggest heart involved in the game. 2006 was a good year.
Check out the British and Irish Lions 2009. The Lions are an international 'All Star' team selected once every 4 years to tour NZ, Oz or SA. They are going back to SA this year. Will start play in about 6 weeks. The Eng/Sco game... When you score in Rugby 15s, you get the ball kicked back to you. Makes it easy to run up the score. Makes it easier to catch up too. Less than 90 minutes to watch a game.... Insane isn't it? Beats the eff out of gridiron that takes 4 to 5 hours to watch. There are hundreds of games on CZcams and you have no idea how any of them turned out. I'm a little envious.
There are some salient points to remember. Australia vs NZ = almost war between the two. England vs either Aus/NZ = almost war, NZ vs Springboks = almost war, Aus. England vs France = almost war et al. These are games with lots of intensity BUT after the games are over ... friendship and cordiality and RESPECT between all these rugby playing countries. Japan is now entering the game too.
As much as I love my home team ABs I feel some of the best games they'll be remembered for and most of my favorites are the games they lost. Seriously. 91 sf wc against Aussies. 95 wc final vs SA. The French in 99, Ireland in 2018 and England sf wc in 2019.
for rugby league check out a State of Origin game. honestly the most intense, gruelling sporting event in the world bar none. also - check out highlights of some individual players: Sonny Bill Williams, Sam Burgess (both played league and union. Sonny Bill has been to World Cup finals in both codes and was also New Zealand's heavyweight champion in his off-seasons, retiring undefeated). For skill and speed check out Shaun Johnson. Russell Crowe made a short documentary about Sam Burgess which is pretty cool (tho maybe too long to react to). i played both league and union semi-pro and have equal respect for both codes - they have different strengths and weaknesses, but you have to watch out for huge amount of snobbery from union fans towards league, because league is traditionally (especially in England) a working class sport while union comes from the elite schools of the wealthy
England v France 2015 has a ridiculous amount of tries, high scoring game and England have the chance to win the title in the dying moments on the French try line.
Hey man, love your passion for the rugbys. Have you seen any of Jonah Lomu's play? If not, you should check him out. He was a giant genius of rugby. You should also watch his funeral haka; very moving.
As has been said any of the 6 nations matches, Scotland v England or Wales V England or Ireland or France. Any All Blacks or South Africa and in the club game catch Leicester V Bristol last weekend or any clash involving Bath V Gloucester in the Aviva English Premiership.

2019 world cup. England vs New Zealand. Not many points, but it's one of the best games ever.
As much as I love my home team ABs I feel some of the best games they'll be remembered for and most of my favorites are the games they lost.
Seriously. 91 sf wc against Aussies. 95 wc final vs SA. The French in 99, Ireland in 2018 and England sf wc in 2019.
The 2015 South Africa vs New Zealand world cup final game is deffs one to watch, South Africa's defense was amazing
2015 World Cup final was NZ vs Australia... Not South Africa.
Try watching some games from 1980’s- 1995 when rugby was still an amateur sport in NZ and from 1996 till present day is the professional era
for rugby league check out a State of Origin game. honestly the most intense, gruelling sporting event in the world bar none. also - check out highlights of some individual players: Sonny Bill Williams, Sam Burgess (both played league and union.
Check out the 2021 Six Nations, dramatic finishes to games by the truckload.
England v France 2015 has a ridiculous amount of tries, high scoring game and England have the chance to win the title in the dying moments on the French try line.
All blacks vs France 2015 world cup quarter final best all blacks performance ever
Hey man, love your passion for the rugbys. Have you seen any of Jonah Lomu's play? If not, you should check him out. He was a giant genius of rugby. You should also watch his funeral haka; very moving.
