Ma'a Nonu, my favourite All Black of all time. Talk about growth, his journey was amazing. Looked to be not wanted, went away, grew as a player and as a person and came back to become arguably the greatest inside centre the world has ever seen.

These are exactly my thoughts as well. Such a thoughtful player and judged the way the game evolved, how he needed to evolve (kicking game in particular) to solidify his place in my mind in the top all black team of all time and also in my opinion the most well rounded player of all time. I reckon based on his skill set in the end, you stick him in any position and he would have done the job

The same Nonu brain explosions that won us back to back world cups. Arguably player of the tournament in 2011 and made big plays in the 2015 Semi Final vs South Africa (set up Barretts match defining try with 20min left) and the 2015 Final (ran 45m to score basically the most important try of the tournament). Had some brain explosions early on in his career for sure and at Super Rugby level when he went through phases.. but from 2008-2015 in the Black jersey specifically he was dynamite and did not let the team down especially when they needed him in the big games.. he always came through with the big plays. Greatest 12 ever. Period.
