That first game is really highlighting why the community *loves* CVs so much.
Glad they put Scharnhorst in the battle pass so early. Grinding through dockyard missions for the T6/7 takes a lot of time away from holiday activities.
The evil laugh at 2:26 was more effective at tempting me back to WoW than all the ads they've ever made and spammed against me.
I totally hadn't considered the idea that you could do the Vampire II trick with the smoke hydro if you don't touch your guns and fully specialize into your secondaries. That's wild.

Scharnhorst 43 basically replaces the traditional free christmas ship we get yearly, first from chain mission and then it got replaced with mid progress dockyard ship and now it's a battlepass free ship so if you think about it, there's nothing new with the Scharnhorst 43.
ususally free ships are horrible so its new that a free ship like Scharn 43 is good. It's perfect for brawls, or even ranked if you're good enough
It's a worse Scharnhorst so horrible in randoms but can be good in CQE modes, at least it's not horrible like the D.Pozharsky
Personally I’m looking forward to getting Michelangelo, scharnost and defense if possible.
I wonder if we will see Kitakami spam from the top players or will be until they release the ship in 2 years

I thought it was a bit weak making Shinehorse '43 still a t7, but since it's basically given out I cannot complain too much.
This is one of those ships thats awesome.. if you're a unicum player. That being said, Im going to work for it, although im only a 51% player

I do want to see a comparison to Schroeder since they are both dockyard brawler cruisers at tier 9
One have precise SAP second fire can kill DD . One can cook BB from HE second fire .
I get lots of cits with Schroeder...more than any other ship.
Maaan. Only if the game was still fun for me, I would instantly grind this ship. Unfortunately, in the past 2 months I tried getting back to the game, only to not have fun at all and uninstalled the same day. I just hope that one day if I ever get back, I won't regret that I missed the opportunity to get this.
I'm on the same boat (no pun intended) as you! Though I'm seriously considering forcing myself to play and grind the Michelangelo just in case.
@@sg_dan I would probably do the same if I didn't have Napoli and Schröder. But still, I just love gimmicky, ugly, anti-meta ships. Especially if they have good secondaries. But I think I won't get Michelangelo, sadly.

Seems that all dockyard ships are out of reach for the casual players.
Gods the CV hate for that first game is unreal. The CV did around 25k max damage to Potato. Potato nuked two BBs from the game at about the same level of risk as the CV for 90% of it. Yeah CVs are SO broken because they did what the Alsace was about to do.
Like sure I get it, being dropped by the CV is a tad annoying, but you know what else is annoying? Having a ship rush you in a fuel smoke that you can do nothing about and basically end your game. I would love for someone to try to explain to me how Potato's nuking of the Iowa and Nagato was fair or fun for those BBs. You really can't because it very likely wasn't.
Meanwhile the moment where "the CV ruined the fun", most of the damage done was from the Alsace hitting him at the same time. The Alsace did more damage than the CV, and was about to finish reloading, the CV did around 9k damage, where the Alsace did around 16k. Potato was going to die there ether way. The CV literally did not matter, except to save the Alsace a tad more HP, as if that mattered at that point. Seeing as it very much seems that was a blowout, or at least I'm guessing that based on the Red team having lost 5 ships in the time it took Potato to die, and his team at that point had won the east.
Pushing middle on this map is stupid. as you are going to be focus-fired from both sides, and you have no maneuver room. It is the FLANKS that you must secure, and you will always have time to move back from each flank to annihilate reds foolish enough to go mid.
Giuseppe Verdi is just a joke at this point.
