- This is piece is #5 in Suzuki Book 4. This concerto is in A minor, so you will be using low 2nd finger on the E, A and D string. There is plenty of shifting to 3rd position, so take your time to stop and prepare your finger.

Thank you for the video !! Watching a teacher play is much more helpful to us between lessons than just listening to the CD. Seeing someone play it brings it to life. I also appreciate the tempo.
My pleasure! I am glad that the recordings have been helpful. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the piece that I can help with. =)
I was tempted to upload my own videos of Suzuki 1-4 because I haven't found any consistent videos on youtube before. It is so generous of you to perform and upload all of these!! Many thanks! This will make my students' learning experiences that much more enhanced!!!
Emily
Emily Benson You are welcome, Emily =)

My pleasure!

Nice Job!!!,
These videos have been very helpful to my son. Can you post the Suzuki violin Concerto in A Minor, Op 3, No. 6, 3rd Mvt.and the rest of Book 4? If it's already out there I am not able to find it.
Dear Cathy, yes, the rest of book 4 will be up in the coming weeks. Thanks for letting me know of their use, it is encouraging.
Mircea Ionescu Thank you so much for your reply, Mircea. My son just started working on the Vivaldi Concerto in A Minor 1st Mvt. with his teacher so it'll be a couple months before he's ready for the next piece. I am excited to hear that the rest of book 4 is on the way. It really helps his intonation when he plays along with you. Also, I like how slowly you play the pieces so he can keep up when he's just learning. The piano part on the Suzuki CD is much too fast for someone just learning the piece. Thank you again for posting these on You Tube. You are very talented!
Cathy Newton I have uploaded the 3rd movement and I have been posting some Christmas songs, as well. Talk to you all soon!
thats not that orginal copy by vivaldi this is edited by suzuki
Yes this is edited. Tivadar Nachez made the fast solo sections a little more fancy. I've heard other editions, it's great to hear the creativity!
um is there a music sheet for finger placement or something? ima beginner kinda and cane place like one second of it because I don't know the finger placement and the notes all that well I just know the basic notes like a G D A E and E- F# G# A and etc.
you are very good at violin. I play along with you and now I sound much better. Thank you. I hope you can do the same to others also. :)
That’s great! Thanks! :)
nice
+Bowen Ying Thanks Bowen, let me know if I can help in any way.
PrivateLessonMatters I need help, I'm a 8th grade first chair/concert master which means I'm one of the advanced. But when I play this as my solo the start is really nasty, it sounds really bad. Please help me, any tips and advice will be appreciated!
Hey Th3Nuge, congrats on being concert master. Yes, the beginning can be tricky. The way I got comfortable with the beginning was to practice preparing the 3rd position. One way to do this is by playing the A as E3 in 1st position (the 2nd note), then shift to 3rd position with your first finger and make sure that matches with the first position. Do that slowly 4-5 times, then do it super quiet so that only you can hear it, then you will be more confident to start the piece. Does this help?
plis teach me
Sure what do you need help with?
