I took violin lessons for 10 years. It has been 10 years since my last violin lesson. Probably 12-13 years since my last classical lesson. This is the song I last left off on, and one of the only classical songs I’ve liked. I’ve picked my violin back up recently (casually) and I have really been wanting to go back to where I left off, on this song. Thank you for this, it is the inspiration/motivation I need ❤
This helped me a lot with the tempo (I rush a lot)

I play the 1st violin part and I learned it so well, but my friend (2nd violin) didn't practise so i sent her this video. She was so sad when i told her to practise, but we have the concert in 3 weeks so its the time to practise!

Took violin at the same time as my child back in the early 2000's. Got to book IV but had to quit to finish my degree. This was on my bucket list to learn. Now I'm 57 and full of arthritis. 😢
@traces2807 Age doesnt mean you cant keep playing! if you try hard enough, you can. I know someone who was 83-87 when they started violin. You can do it!
And learning something doesnt mean you need to get to the full tempo! What matters is TRYING to learn it, you dont actually have to get to your goal. Its the expirience that matters.
Also this woman is a professional. Im sure she practices every day. Dont pressure yourself to go to her high level.
you dont need to pressure yourself to get to the level of others! Go at your own pace and you will get good without being rushed.

I got the piece two weeks ago and I have to play it for an audition in another two weeks. Y’all are lucky to have that kinda time lol (I’m at like 60% ish)

That violin must be a very good violin. Its sound is deep.
It’s hard to not make it sound metallic and stuff
theres a lot of post production editing, i can tell theres just reverb added, probably more. she is very good tho

ik u said this years ago, but just saying: you dont need to pressure yourself to get to the level of others! Go at your own pace and you will get good without being rushed.
