The choreography and the backup guys are unnecessary and distracting. The clever but torturous lyrics are hard enough to follow. Murphy is phenomenal and should have just sang the ballad by herself.

Donna Murphy is way too good for this director. I don't know, often You Tube is not kind to stage productions, but this looks like a diamond ( Murphy) ring in a... well, a store that doesn't sell diamond rings.

It appears none of the eighteen commentors were fortunate enough to see the magnificent Alexis Smith in the original Broadway production of Follies. She didn't win the Tony award on looks alone. Sorry, but Donna doesn't come close. Nor does the staging match the memorable Michael Bennett original.
