My one gripe about all these modern day torches is the brightness. They are nothing but a nuisance if used by anglers on a mark that insist having them on full blast and can’t keep their heads up looking at the rod tips . All to often to many waggle heads looking up down back and forth all night flashing their lights everywhere . 300 lumens is more than adequate for general use whilst fishing. What I would like to see from a good quality headtorch is a good red/ coloured light of around 300 lumens that for me would be a game changer . Enjoy your no nonsense videos, great content 👍👌

Loved the review Billy, I have a Petzl which I’ve had for many years. It’s served me well but I was considering getting a new headtorch and may seriously consider getting one of the Armytec ones. I have used Petzl since the early 70s, perhaps it’s time for a change.

Congrats on the 10k,you were short 500 when I checked lately! Handy that light has an 18650 battery and is detachable. You'll never go hungry now, you can dazzle rabbits with that light when the fishing is poor. Keep on rockin, Billy!👍
I have both the LEDLenser MH10 and Fenix HL60R that I use for work and fishing. They haven't skipped a beat in the last 5 years (but they've had a beating 😅) being bashed about and in torrential rain on construction sites. I can highly vouch for both. The Fenix HL60R is fixed to the headband bracket but it rotates on its axis 180° up and down so that you won't get a crooked neck having to tilt your head back to illuminate the rod tips. Both run on 18650 cells and I always carry 3 (one on the head torch, one spare and another spare if the spare goes walkies 😂). No battery level indicators on either other than flashing when their dead but that doesnt bother me as I just change the battery in 10 seconds. Good thing about LEDLenser is that you can put a coloured lens (blue usually) if you're fishing in a port/harbour with white and red light restrictions. Both are dead easy to operate turning them on and clicking through the levels of brightness (and they turn on at the same brightness they were turned off at). Never had either one turn on in a bag.
The Fenix is just a bad product. The light is not that good either. The wizard is a great lamp, you won't regret it. But I don't think it lasts much longer than the Fenix, thanks Brother 👍😁

I’ve never been a fan of Fenix, I generally use an olight perun or a sofirn for the beach, zebralight or an Armytek tiara for carping
