      You need to tape the end of a flat head screwdriver and stick it under the clip right where it clips on to pry it off....

    A few years ago I bought a small thumb size flashlight that is completely waterproof, two hundred lumins, made from aluminum, for $17. Twist on, twist off. Lasts 2 1/2 hours. Very nice for its size. Simple and reliable. I made a video for my channel if anyone's interested. Gotta say though, this light of yours, is impressive.

    Awesome review as usual. I put this in my favorites. I’ll check it out after Christmas I’m thinking I got about 20 flashlights every brand you could think of you name it. Stay safe my friend

    When it comes to lights I'm pretty brand specific. Each brand has its own weird operational control like tap and hold to turn on, quick tap to switch modes, double click to lock out and etc. This way I don't have to relearn to use a light and don't have to think when I'm in a stressful or groggy situation.

    Would like to see a video dedicated to hiking in somewhere, like a mile or two. Setting up camp and coming back. That would be fun to see.

    I kinda dig the advanced option tbh. Especially stay in firefly mode is really neat. I'd hate accidentally switching to to a bright main if I want to stay low-key. It's a bit like a safety.

    Great Video James, even for a flashlight!😉..I recently bought the olight perun II. Very similar. How do you like them in comparison? I Really like mine, so very curious...🍻

    I have an older version of the same light. I keep it in the advanced setting but either one is fine. I've had it for many year's. Never a problem. It's a great light and there's no better headlamp out there. The smooth light is amazing and if you need the 2500 lumens it's there. Very bright, lights up everything around you.

    Cool review mate. I like torch reviews.👍🏼
    I have an Olight Perun 2, it’s very similar to yours, 2,500 lumens. Plenty of light to see with. #Olight #Perun2 #torch

    Thinking advanced may be to not accidentally go to the wrong mode?

    Put a piece of shoelace or something similar under the pocketclip. The closer to the connection point the better. Then pull hard. These clips are good because they don’t come loose easily…….. the coating is strong but still might scratch.

  • @PreparedWolf34

    The advance settings have military uses. Making sure the light stays in moonlight mode will prolong battery life and won’t give your position away as easily. Think combat and the advance settings make sense.

      @@dandyer8351i ended up getting the 4500k emitter in my C2 wizard pro, kinda wish I got 3000k but I'm impressed and happy with the 4500k , who knows maybe it has the advantage for visibility if I drop something in the woods metal detecting.

    Powertac has a lifetime warranty and their "impact" testing is shooting their lights with a 12ga.

    Ouch...$105. I'll admit, I paid the same for a 3,200 lumen Olight. Once. Ha. Works as a firestarter, too. But, to each their own. I'd rather spend the money saving up for your knife.

      Olight makes some good lights too, but Armytek offers warm versions of their headlamps and even the awesome Nichia hi-cri. Olight needs to offer warm versions of their headlamps too as some of their headlamps have been more on the cool white side of the spectrum and that is just not acceptable for a headlamp. Olight also has gotten into proprietary batteries which is totally unacceptable.

  • @jeffslaven
    @jeffslaven Před 2 lety

    Armytek seems to make some reliable gear. But it's a pity that you need a degree in order to operate this flashlight. Not as user friendly as most brands for the price.

  • @AGC828
    @AGC828 Před rokem

    It IS a headlamp....so those extra modes might come in handy for some. If you want simplicity then this light is not for you or anyone else wanting simplicity. But being used as a headlamp you don't recally care. Where time isn't vital. Armytek just wanted to give us options. that's how most companies sell lights anyway....giving us features and sometimes confusing UI's...e.g. Nitecore....FENIX with no firefly and no instant access to T-mode with 2 clicks...etc. Also Armytek lights are a tad too pricy IMHO....don't plan to ever buy one..
