Good to see you out doing what you love! Life does throw you some curves. Sometimes sliders and knuckle balls. Our beloved bloodhound pictured here just passed away last week. We're still joyful in the midst of the heartbreak. Lord gave us 12 1/2 years with him. Just keep up the great attitude James. May God heal you 100%

@@aceman1126 Thank you brother! I tried my best. He never had a leash on him since he was born, and had many acres of woods to roam. He would take me on walks that lasted for miles yet never leave my sight. I could go to work in the morning and when I got home he would be waiting for me on the porch. Then as soon as I got out of the truck, I would be knocked down by his 140 lb. frame at a full run. I was the only one he would jump on. He was a true and loyal friend and you're right, a dog IS the greatest animal God ever made and I feel blessed that he made this smart aleck character just for me.

I know you're a good person and you're thankful for being given the opportunity to spend a whole lifetime with your dog... that's what makes it so hard. For some people an animal is an animal but for you that was family and I'm sorry you lost him.
No one can convince me that God won't allow a dog to be with his person for eternity so until that day my friend my heart is with you and every one that had to say goodbye.
If anyone ever knew what semper fi means it's your boy.

As long as you don’t quit, humans are very adaptable. It is a pleasure to see you adapt to the new you, and not give up! Obviously the outdoors is where you thrive, so regardless of what happens to your hand, you still got it!
As for cutting veggies, you do better than I do with 2 hands. A SHARP knife is the key. Have you thought about attaching a small block to your cutting board that you can wedge your veggies against to reduce the slippage?

I finally had myself a 4 night camp up at 9000 ft just 3 miles south of cloudcroft, thanks James and Cuervo for introducing me to cloudcroft.
