    Very helpful! Thanks for taking the time to make this diy video. I did the exact same cleaning and my snow blower now starts up. Ready for Dec 2022 snowstorm.

    Just a tip from another video on CZcams. I did it and it works fine mine would only run on full choke. Stand the machine up on the shoot. So the fuel bowl was exposed take the fuel bowl off get a flat head screwdriver that fits up into the main jet unscrew the flat head screw put the machine back down or tap it on the side near the carburetter and the main jet should fall out with the emulsion tube clean out all the fine holes in the main jet and emulsion tube put in the emulsion tube using your flat head screwdriver screw the main jet back in put the fuel bowl back on and you’re done. In other words you do not have to remove the carburetter this job takes about 10 minutes. To make more room you may find it easier to unbolt the left tire and remove it

      Been using my TB 2410 for 12 years. From day-1 I've had to run it on 1/2 choke. Changed oil a few days ago & it started on first pull after 5 months idle. Hadn't tried to start before oil chg. Pulled wheels last year and applied anti-seize to axles. A real bear pulling the wheels! Seldom use electric start.

    Thanks for the video. Might be a good idea to drain the tank before doing this service. It’s really easy to drain through the carb drain screw. Just use a funnel and leave the gas cap off. You should also drain the fuel after every season if you are going to use ethanol gas. Won’t hurt to use some mechanic in a bottle either.

    • @efd
      @efd  Před rokem

      Good tip on using a funnel. I hadn’t thought of that.

    Added stabilizer as directed and it was doin the same pulse
    So full blast on 6 hit some snow piles and 2 mins of that pulsin and that is all it took .
    Same brand new used a few times and parked with old fuel that i didnt pull out yet

    I have this blower and no matter what I put in the gas it clogs up ever year. I normally just take the bowl off and hit it with compressed air.

    • @efd
      @efd  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Same here on the gas, feels like a big flaw in the carb.

    What if my electric starter sputters but doesn’t kick in? Keep in mind it did not come with a cord so I’m using a very old extension cord because it’s all I got right at the moment… So I don’t know a lot about electricity if that means maybe it’s only delivering enough electricity to make it sputter, but not turn? or if it’s not that what kind of prom do I have if it won’t turn on after sputtering when I use the electric?

    • @efd
      @efd  Před 6 měsíci

      if its turning over and not starting, and you have pumped the priming bulb a good 10 times, the carb pin might be stuck and need cleaned out. But that's a guess based on what you said. Also need to make sure the key is in, choke is on, etc.

    Hope you get this? Have this exact blower two years old. Used it yesterday now today it won’t start. Drained the gas & put in premium. New spark plug.
    Had a mouse nest inside the small cover in front. Cleaned it out. Just wondering where this model pulls air at? Maybe pulled some of the mouse nest? Doesn’t seem to fire?
    ?? Thx

      Have you cleaned the carb? If it sat with gas all winter it might need a basic cleaning.

    • @Lifesrad8
      @Lifesrad8 Před rokem

      Mine did the same time ran it then next time I tried it and it wouldn't run. It started for 5 seconds then died messed with it and had to end up buying a new carb I already took all the stuff off so figured screw it and just replaced it. They needed to put a inline shut off so you could shut it off every spring and run it until it died to empty carb every sping and then drain the bowl. I'm not then luckily say it's a new carb for you as well only 15 bucks pretty inexpensive.

    • @eliebenzaquen4947
      @eliebenzaquen4947 Před 7 měsíci +1

      Im surprised he didnt show the main bottom screw under the carb bowl when he took it off and make sure the holes are all unclogged can use a paper clip. That usually does it. I hardly saw the point in this video as it started fine at the beginning just a little rough so how do you know you accomplished anything. If it surges all you need to do is run it awhile and add fresh gas that should do the trick.

  • @Lifesrad8
    @Lifesrad8 Před rokem +1

    Every yr I'm replacing my carb I don't get it the thing is a lemon and it's only on its second season.

    • @filstoy
      @filstoy Před rokem +2

      I just did this on my sons 1 year old snowblower with the same engine. The gas was fine and the tank was clean inside. What I found was rubber specs had clogged up the main jet. I think it may be the fuel line deteriorating so if it does it again next year I'm going to replace it with a higher quality fuel line that handles the ethanol better . I would have done it this time but it was 7 degrees with 40mph winds. Your problem is not unique. I've seen this on several of these same engines even if the owner drained the fuel at the end of the season and it was running fine so there's more going on with these than just bad gas.

    • @Lifesrad8
      @Lifesrad8 Před rokem

      @@filstoy I agree it's not unique and it's something that's happening to all them. I went through two carburetors on mine and I never thought about it being the gas line so I might have to look into that.

That'll start on Piss...everytime!!.Ridiculously bad quality here
