The measuring gauge is used to ensure the stone’s profile is optimized after using the dressing stone. Thanks for reviewing this tool. I’m looking at getting this tool as well.

You can grind the rakers on the chain grinder also, set the front angle at zero and the head tilt angle at eighty. Grinding the rakers at a slight angle makes the chain smoother in the cut.

Hello, I do have the exact same chainsaw sharpener. I would like to know if we can have the motor turning in the opposite direction when changing to the other side of teeth. It does perform mutch better when turning toward the teeth compare as away from the teeth.

🤭🤭I had forgotten about the rakers....that explains why my chainsaw wasn't cutting that well after a sharpening

so you cant change blades without removing the base? my Oregon 410 can change blades pretty easily just remove the cover plate. I use different blade for cutting the rakers. made a video about it if you want to check it out.

If you loosen the angle knob of the motor and angle it all the way right as far as it will go 50deg ish you will be able to get the wheel in place

I think you have wrong set-up on 10 degree setting. You do the opposite way. When you grind right side cutter, the chain must be moved 10 degree forward to your side. Grinding the left side cutter the chain must be moved 10 degree backward away from you.

FYI. If the bar is too tight, it is already UNloosened! It now needs to be LOOSENED! Good luck.

Yup you're correct. Sometimes when you are making videos and trying to come up with something to say the wrong words are said.
Good to have an attentive audience. Thanks for watching.

Are you sure that you have the 10 dog angle set right? I thought for right hand cutters the chain should be tilted towards you. Adjusting knob away from you.

I WATCHED THIS VIDEO TO TRY AND FIND OUT WHAT ANGLE TO SET AT, NOW IM REALLY CONFUSED.
I SET MINE AT 0 DEG AND WORKS GOOD BUT STILL SAYS 10 DEG FOR 23RS CHAIN

I know this is old but if you check your bar on your chainsaw it will give you all your angels. That ten degree tilt. You'll never use that unless your in the business professional and use commercial saws and chains
