Instead of building a team around a massive star they tried getting like three or four guys who were a tier below like Zach, Derozen, Lonzo and Vucevic. This is good because you can spread your cap space out on more really good guys but they learned that without a genuine top ten player on the team you can’t win. It’s better to have one megastar and some good supporting guys than to have four 7/10 guys.
