      Very sorry about that! That wasn't there when I uploaded it!! Think it came in when I had to change the music due to copyright issues. When I get a moment I l'll see if I can find a way to fix it. Thanks for flagging!

    Personally I would add a crossbow to my car theft armory. Silent and deadly....also you don't want cctv to upload to the cloud if you slot a car thief or two. Good video

    The council should do this for foot paths I notice Alot when I go on my bike there's quite a bit of cars parking on footpaths and no one cannot walk on there even its design for humans. Definitely the council should install these for public footpaths. Great 👍 System.

    I think all you really need to put most car thieves off is having a decent steering wheel lock, it’s enough for most to think twice and move on, but the bollards are a good idea. I’d probably invest in electric though as it’s a pain having to manually lower snd raise every time you come and go.

    • @bigtoespud1389
      @bigtoespud1389  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts; I completely agree. The electric bollards are ideal, but very expensive by comparison and also need wiring directly to your DCU which isn't always straightforward. I'm always a bit worried about causing damage to the interior with the steering wheel locks, but it's certainly a more cost effective deterrent!

    • @1972dsrai
      @1972dsrai Před 3 lety

      @@bigtoespud1389 You’re right about the cost of electric, some can set you back thousands compared to a few hundred for a manual one. There are also foot operated ones, I’m sure you did a thorough review before purchasing. Now you also have to worry about thieves trying to steal your Catalytic Converter, which I think has only really become a thing during Covid lockdown as a lot of them do it to feed drug habits. Previously they were shop lifting, but after lockdown and shops being closed they resorted to this.

      Steering wheel lock is a deterrent wherever you go, bollards only useful when you’re parked at home

    am I the only one who thinks that these keys can be easily replicated? Feels like weak point. Better off with padlock bollards?

    • @bigtoespud1389
      @bigtoespud1389  Před 2 lety +3

      I don't know how easily the keys can be replicated, but I do know I wouldn't want four different padlocks and sets of keys to be messing around with! If someone wants your car badly enough, they'll take it - probably with the threat of violence! This is a deterrent for all the opportunists and those looking for an easy car to steal.

    Ha Ha... vandal proof camera... can of spray paint sorts that, or a good tap with a hammer !!!.. and as for an alarm that calls the police, they dont attend domestic alarms any more, that has been policy for around 20yrs.. they may look in if passing though.
