TikTok’s Pink Sauce Hospitalizes 13-Year-Old? And It's Now Coming to Stores

- A certain viral condiment on TikTok, the Pink Sauce, has exposed the dangerous sacrifice that comes with individuals entering the food business, and that’s consumer safety. But is the backlash against TikTok’s notorious Pink sauce warranted?
From seemingly unsafe contents to rumors of alleged hospitalizations, are social media users throwing a small business under the bus for clout?
In a story that has the internet baffled, and a creator scrambling to provide answers, is a happy ending still possible?
Let’s uncover the truth behind the TikTok's viral Pink Sauce. - Zábava
"What the f--- is the FDA?" Is NOT what you want to hear from someone selling a food product.
fr bruh fr cuz like what even- i dont even sell food and ik FDA is a needed thing to have my stuff checked
The F stands for Fraud or Farmaceuticals
@@Jennchannel24 That's the difference between professional chefs that went to a culinary school, learnt all the basics and have a certificate and someone that didn't do all that.

I am not american and I know the FDA approves drugs and make-up I think. Could you educate me on what they do regarding food? I mean obviously something has to be consumer-safe,but that's all I know and I would like to understand better.

Yes!

Being a chef has nothing to do with the FDA. You only need a food handler license and to register your biz with the IRS and other business entities.
I don't care if it was ignorance or active disregard, she doesn't get to cry about being bullied after the complete lack of oversight, care, and safety in her "product" launch. That is unacceptable and should have ruined her "career". And no, I don't think she's learned her lesson
Research. Lots & lots of research is so important when starting a business. Especially when food product is involved. She is extremely lucky no one died considering her very obvious ignorance concerning her product.
A chef not knowing about the Food safety is the equivalent of a pilot not knowing how to land a plane
Did she name herself Chef P? What's her credentials?
She's not a real chef though is she
As someone who went to chef school for 2 months, the first thing we learned was food safety, and we had to remember it to be able to finish even the first semester. I don't believe she's a qualified chef if she doesn't know basic food safety.
ye even in school before we did any cooking we learnt abt food safety
Yeah even in a cooking class i had for those with vision disabilities myself included, our teacher taught us food safety as well. And it stuck. This person or ‘chef’ should know better smh
I literally learned ALL of this stuff I’m my highschool baking class. She should know this
@@katelynnorr3513 yeah, we learnt food safety from grade 6 home economics class (mandatory for all) and every year after that, we had the teacher drilling food safety into our skulls so we'd never forget!

People warned her and she didn’t listen. I hope this family sues her for everything that she has. She doesn’t care about her customers. She only cares about the money.

@@Bobaluvscoffee and she's a friggin caterer. There's no reason why she should not know what the FDA stands for.
@@ethane-dawgwenger4207Frrrrrrrrrrr. Facts
that's not what she said and she was right. She was mocking people expecting an "FDA approval". Her product wasn't a medical product that needed pre-market trials. That's not how food works OR FDA. For food the FDA controls the ingredients that are sold in markets. for instance Haggis is a Scottish dish and on the surface, it may appear it's a "banned" food product when it's not, what is actually banned is the "sheep lung" which is a popular ingredient for creating the product in the UK. There are USA companies that produce haggis without the sheep lung and it's perfectly legal.
@@ethane-dawgwenger4207 I wouldn’t hire anyone for catering that doesn’t know what the fda stands for

Plus since she is not posting the list of ingredients on the bottles, that is dangerous because if they have an allergic reaction to it, they are not going to know what is causing it.
At one point she did put the ingredients but it didn't make sense-if you tried to recreate it-it wouldn't even work-

When I went to the doctor to get it checked out it was found I had lost 20lbs at that time from how bad it was getting. The doctors themselves saw it and said it looked like I was throwing up just water and blood. But I wasn’t able to keep water down, or anything. They told my parents to get me to the hospital but by that time it had already slowed down to just once maybe every 2 hours. The hospital just sent me away saying I needed rest and I’d be fine. Seriously what else would F in FDA mean?
Ikr??? frrrrrrr
Food safety is even more important than taste and marketing, because taste make you a successful chef but food safety prevents you from going to jail. Better be jobless than a criminal
FDA is different to what it's called in my country but I still know what it is. It's disgusting that she's selling food and doesn't know what FDA is.
Imagine selling food, calling yourself a chef, and not knowing what the FDA is, or anything about food safety, and also thinking your son's EPI pen is for panic attacks.🤦♀️She's needs a ton of education before being let loose on the public again. Lucky no one died. SMH
I get that she probably doesn't want to provide all ingredients info in fear of people remaking to sell or to avoid buying, but sometimes it is important because you never know who is allergic to what. 🥺
Matpat literally remade the sauce. Its literally a mix of dragon fruit+ mayonnaise+ ranch. All the other ingredients are basically BS she made up so people don't recreate it.
It is mandatory that you provide the ingredients on the back of the package
@@X.3.N.0.N.2 gotta love food theory
100%
But it's literally consumer info. It's mandatory. Who cares if it's bc she doesn't want people to remake and resell it? Does that matter more to her than ppl risking their health?
Knowing how she behaves, probably yeah.
Because the FDA would never approve something that wasn’t safe
Everyone wants to be a wise business person and forgetting that there are laws you have to abide by!!
What an awful person, she put so many peoples health at risk just for money. No excuse.
Yes
Blame these idiots buying it because they want clout. I think it’s hilarious.
@@Letsgo88809 some people just wanted to try it
I know right? She can't be filming on tiktok like nothing happened. She should be in prison. I don't know how she got away with it, but I hope she gets what's coming to her.
My main concern is that she was making her customers the Guinea pigs for her product. She admits to changing the color because the original was a prototype, but that wasn't what the original buyers were trying to get. They wanted the bright pink sauce not pale pink, so it was already going to look off due to the change in color.
1:17 I’m sorry the sayaka photo sent me 😭😭
I can’t even trust someone who doesn’t know what FDA means .
So thoughts:
I first heard about the sauce after all the craziness had started and even died down a bit. This means that I got the benefit of seeing people compile things she said at different times.
To me, one of the most worrying things was the inconsistency. She said the sauce changed color "because of the light it was filmed in", but then later commented that it was changed because she was worried that people would have colorful stools and be concerned. Her nutritional label and what she'd posted as the ingredients on the site differed. The sauce was changing both color and consistency right up until shipment (and maybe even after). She said she didn't make it in her own kitchen, but also that she did, and the fda came to her house and not the place where she would make it? The more I heard, the more unnerved I was. If you can't take someone at their word, you can't ever really trust anything they say.
The second most worrying thing was that within the same video she could make drastically different statements. Ignoring the fact that she previously said it had health benefits then said it wasn't a medical product (ie a product with health benefits), she acted like she didn't understand what the fda was, then said she didn't have to be fda approved (technically correct if it isn't touting health benefits outside of things like veggies have fiber which helps with your stools, and tbf I don't know what health benefits she said her sauce would have, just that there were some). The way it was worded, and the presentation of that video, sounded like someone arguing why they didn't do anything wrong, not them explaining how they're right. To me, it sounded confrontational, not explanatory, and at that point confrontational would just make things worse.
Also the food theory video on it, where they examined the nutritional label and tried their hardest to make the percentages and ingredients listed make even a semblance of what the sauce was meant to be. They also pointed out concerns about the presentation of the product, but the fact that they couldn't make the ingredient list and the nutritional values line up at all is concerning and feels like a bit too much of an oversight.
Because I couldn't trust her words, I couldn't trust her claims. The people that spoke highly of the sauce when she was around also can't be trusted, especially when no one would choose to describe the taste at all and when all was said and done, a fair number of people agreed it was ranch with extras.

THIS!! All this.
You do have to be fda approved to sell out of state though and with anything with dairy in it that doesn’t have a shelf life or you get sued into the ground for food contamination. Anyone who has applied for a food handlers permit would know this ie anyone who work professionally with food you cant even get an entry level job that handles food with out one. You literally cant be a chef with out one.
@@1llustrousking funfact: where I'm from, Culinary schools are expensive, so only a certain number school there. But there are still businesses and restaurants selling good and delicious food without going to culinary school. Why you ask? Because I live in a country where its mostly poverty, there are a lot of poor people making money out of their cooking. The owners are usually homecooks, business men, friends and family etc.
She was more worried about making money then doing the research and knowing everything she needed to make it safe from the start.
That is not a real FDA person!! Standing at the door?? Girl, get out of here!!
Is she really saying her son needs an Eli pen for a panic attack? So much about this, is so wrong 😳
You want to mix some stuff up at home and get your family and friends to try it, knock yourself out. You want to sell your concoction to the public, and ship it across state lines, that is an entirely different story. Shame the creator doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed because she could have had something.
And unfortunately, there will be companies out here to help her market and sell this properly, and she will get the success that she's been searching for with zero repercussions
@@itsdazzlebtch It's not fair

Chef Pii even had the audacity to go on a talk show, and then went full-on victim all the while pulling the race card when met with valid criticism. Both the host and audience became very biased when that happened, unsurprisingly.
She said the customer wasn't special and the audience clapped for her.
@@dragondude9637 yeah man that rubbed me the wrong way. how are you going to run a business publicly viral and react like that to legitimate critiques. ew
Let's guess she was either on with Wendy Williams or Tamron Hall🙄🙄
shes learning food safety AS she sells the product...... also definitely strengthening her gaslighting skills..........................................................
Good luck to her. I wouldn't buy something like that from the internet but I appreciate and give credit to her trying to do her own thing. Looks like she wasn't very educated on some aspects but she's coming along and doing more than most. As for the buyers of the product seems to me that it was as much of a learning experience for them as it is for her.
As Someone who has put an IV on someone dehydrated bloody diarrhea and vomiting ..no matter what do not eat things like this not now not ever . I do not even eat at potlucks . It is just gross to think of what a wonderful medium for bacteria a condiment like that would be .
People don't realize that they can mess up their stomachs PERMANENTLY by taking risks like this. Never worth it.
Yeah when it comes to family gathering that people bring food, I know who the slob cooks are and who has clean kitchen and know how to cook.
I refuse to eat anything from my husband's mother's house. Massive hoarding issues, dirty dishes, counters, stove top, fridge. Straight to the 🗑, dish returned a couple days later.
But the main problem is vinegar with milk! Adding acid to milk is how you start cheese, it will separate milk into several parts. You can add lemon juice/vinegar to a sauce you're going to eat immediately after, but not with a sauce you will eat days or weeks afterwards, especially in hot weather... Idk how a chef can ignore this fact
I'm glad you pointed this out because from what I saw no one else did. When I was younger, i did a science experiment where we mixed vinegar (I think it- may have been citric acid but it was definitely acidic) and milk and watched it curdle into cottage cheese. It was interesting, but cottage cheese goes bad quite quickly ESPECIALLY if people arent refrigerating it. I think this is what's causing so many food poisoning cases. The sauce contains fruit and curdling milk, and this self proclaimed "chef" expects it to last unrefrigerated for long periods of time. And I'm not entirely sure she's being completely forthcoming with all of the ingredients
There is an account on tik tok who bought a bottle of pink sauce and never opened it to keep in her fridge. So one day she could sell it as like a gag. It was fully separated.
she said her son carries an epi-pen to benihana’s for anxiety attacks?!? hahahaha
Who said she was a chef? Lol, then I'm a Doctor! I put a bandaid on a doll..poof Doctor! 😂😂😂😂😂

Having a panic attack isn’t why your son needs an epi pen either. I’m seriously scared and surprised how far this lady has made it in life. she needs to complete k-12 first.
I think she meant he would have a panic attack about having a reaction to the food
this is just nitpicking. she means the kid is traumatized by having severe reactions to the food there.
This woman who is clearly not a chef should be held responsible for everyone she made sick and have to pay her bills. It’s negligent she doesn’t even understand the FDA how can she be allowed to continue to do this??
This generation I can't buying something having no idea what was in it.
