If it had a unique inspect animation for EVERY legend it would be worth the price since it would have more personality since it incorporates all the legends.
That would be the perfect excuse for the price, but it would still have to be worth a low price like all things

It's insane that Respawn mentioned in a patch note years ago "Caustic should now have a door kicking animation with his heirloom" then said "Whoopsie our bad it's not actually added, it will be at a later date though!" ... yet here we are.
Let's hope if his heirloom ever gets a recolor, they'll finally add it. But I have doubts, seems these cruddy fucken Artifacts are gonna be their focus from here on. Shame

They should leave the universal heirlooms for crossovers like the FF event because, atleast those will have some uniqueness with them.
Like how they saw the success of the final fantasy heirloom and was like “oh people will buy overpriced heirlooms if theyre universal. No… they bought it bc it was a crossover event you dunce…
I just dont see the point on getting a universal herlom. Isn't the point of herloms feeling unique for each character.
Devils advocate though, for players like me that played on and off since release and only Heirloom I have is from the 50% event back in like s8 which made getting a heirloom like $80, the Buster sword was worth it since now I don't feel as inclined to constantly play Octane for his switchblade.
Granted I spent around $160 on that event due to saving crafting mats for years but still could see why people spent full price for a extremely sought after collab universal heirloom.
This however isn't going to do near as good though imo due to it not being an extremely popular collab heirloom, and being so bare bones without having to spend another $300 to fully customize it.
I'm not against the idea of universal heirloom, and I can see why EA entertained the Idea in the first place. However, animation alone compared to other classic heirloom falls short and isn't enough to justify 400$ price tag on it.
If they make it 200$ next time with better design and animation, maybe they will get away with consistent sales figure without having to worry about legend pick rate affecting return of the investment spent on making heirlooms.
btw before i say this i agree, however, it is not $400. It's $255 without crafting materials (29,300 coins)

They do a lot of work to provide these but in all due respect they need to stop this shit and finish the individual heirlooms for each legend. Especially the ones who been out for seasons! This universal shit feels like a lack of effort.

People have forget that playing the game is fun! Not having fancy skins or heirlooms bring joy alone! But if you watching twitch or CZcams all day like a braindead than you have to buy it and beeing the octane running into a fight dying and joining lobby instantly 😂
Nice colors and shape ... interesting. But the spam-animation could be better for my taste and also the inspect animations should be something like overloading the plasma-effect and so on. More light-effects.

they should make universal heirlooms for crossovers only, so if apex crosses over with another franchise (i'll use Dying Light as an example), the Last Hope axe could be the universal heirloom so we don't get weird, nothing burger (except lockdown mode looks cool) events like these where we get an obese wraith kunai

Pretty sure another video showed they're making another crafting mat for these heirlooms, so heirloom shards will only work for current existing heirlooms and skins along with future character prestige skins

@@dazpanther7349 so the thing is apparently the reason for the final fantasy event blade not being in the store after was the fact that the partner franchise didnt agree upon that. but it actually makes a lot of sense for the cobalt katar to appear in the store after as the next heirlooms are set to require the base version to be acquired so if the base version won't be in the store apex would lose a lot of potential profits. either way i'll be really sad if it's not in the store but having said that i won't be all that surprised.

You can craft the packs for 1.600 for each of the 36 packs. But no specific item. Everything is random

The only argument that exists is if they gave you an advantage like MAYBE for gun skins with slightly better irons.
