It always bothered me that Nintendo never made the Magical Sword (or as the 1989 animated series called it Link's Kriss-Sword) the Master Sword. Link maintains the same best sword from LoZ in AoL, and he never gets a different one but learns spells to amplify the sword. While the Hyrule Encyclopedia says the Magical Sword and Master Sword are not the same sword, what do you think? ALttP said the Master Sword would sleep forever. ALBW reawakened it...and the Old Man has the golden Master Sword when he battles the new Link. Is there an untold story of the Hero of Legend in his later years for him to have the L.4 Master Sword, while the new Link also has a Master Sword? Time traveler? Come Back from Labrynna with the "Master Sword" after Oracle of Ages? It's always bothered me. So where did the Master Sword go? It's not part of the Era of Decline. But the Magical Sword can inflict Ganon in LoZ. Makes sense there are no light arrows because the real Zelda is asleep, so they came up with the silver arrows...of course this was before we knew about the lore of the goddess Hylia and the bloodline of the goddess through the royal family. Anyhow, rantastical here. Lol I'd like to know once and for all whether the Magical Sword is the Master Sword or the Four Sword...and should the original first 2 games come after the Four Sword Adventures...because it makes more sense timeline wise for that particular Ganon to break free from the Four Sword if there is no Master Sword.
@@archmdc370 You make some great points. I've only recently been looking into this myself. I've seen things like the White Sword is not yet the full fledged Master sword. Or the White Sword, magical sword and Master sword are all different swords. The different timelines also makes things hard. I honestly can't say if the magic sword is the master sword. I was always leaning on the Master sword being the upgraded version of the white sword, but there are many problems with this theory. Your rantastical was a fun read though and peaked my interest to research this more 👍
@@gamenerdlegacy Thank you. Yeah, White Sword was actually the forerunner of the Four Sword, as well. And technically, Link's uncle's sword in ALttP was already the White Sword. Sword Beams are another point. Not all of the swords can do it, and each have their own unique ways of doing so. Some require force gems. But most require full health of the hero directly. "Downfall" timeline has the most sword beams. I can't remember which Zeltuber did a video some years ago now on the abilities of many of the swords, but I know there are a few that specifically show case the Four Sword and Master Sword directly. Anyhow, there's canon and then my head canon. Lol
