- Antje's spectacular tiny house on wheels is modern, spacious and filled with character and charm. Made from SIPs (structurally insulated panels) and off-the-grid ready, there's certainly no compromise here in terms of space, or design.

I loved what she said "I felt like I was living someone elses life" by owning a large home. Thats how I feel, thr smaller the better
There’s an actual stairs!! This one is like a real house. The bathroom is spacious. Love it.
The extra height and layout really makes it look plenty big enough. The more airspace, the better it feels. Beautiful and thoughtfully designed.
Hello
my God you got me addicted to tiny houses I just can't get enough I love your Channel
V gy6y
True
THAT'S EVERYTHING me too
It's striking, isn't it? :-D
Me too
Someone asked me who my man-crush was the other day. They were expecting a famous hockey player or scientist, but I was like "You know, there's this awesome guy named Bryce who hosts this tiny house CZcams thing..." I love the web series and your hosting. Thanks for the constant positivity and good vibes! This house was awesome by the way. Loved the practicality/style. Amazing work, Antje!
Mine is Shelley Duvall
Good choice of man-crush.
Funny I'm a 60 year old man and I wish I had a son like him he does a great job best on You Tube.
He is indeed "man crushable" 🤣
He has a cool surfer dude vibe. Seems like a kind man.
I enjoyed this video. I like the hosts approach, he's warm, and seems very friendly.
T K Tebbles Yeah I've watched many a video from around the world and quite frankly I think this guy is the best host for Tiny Houses.
The Host seems a lovely soul
Bryce you do the best interviews on the internet. I *do* wish we could see more of your own build though!

wow, this is easily one of the most gorgeous tiny house designs i've seen.
One neat idea I came up with when designing small spaces and wanting a bath in the bathroom and has stairs: just put the bath under the stairs.
The tall side of the bath can be used as a shower, but the other half, you don't _really_ need a lot of vertical space, so it still works well as a bath.
It would be doable in this space.
Another few ideas I had was putting a water tank above that space. Or storage.
In fact, you can even put the corner of the bath on the underside corner of the kitchen, that awkward place where you'd normally have a really long cupboard or some fancy diagonally opening doors or such.
Baths can work really well in small spaces if you think a little creatively.
Would be so nice and educational for us to hear and see followups on how her experiments have been doing in the last 2 years! Thanks for all your inspirational clips on Tiny house living :)
Such a unique layout of the house! Great kitchen space, compartmentalised zones..
First tiny house I saw that has bathroom door tucked at the end of the partition and not in the centre, which I was hoping to find in so many other videos. This is how it should be when you have kitchen stove and compost T sitting just a couple of feet apart from each other!
Agree with Bryce, this show keeps bringing surprises more than often, I love it!!!
The plunger lamp shades caught me off guard. Genius.
Did she say plunger or planter?
Me too!! I never would have guessed until she said it. Then I saw it instantly. I might actually steal that idea...

Sometimes i click the living big in a tiny house just to see Bryce 😂😂😂

I wish he would shave a bit more.
kiwigirljacks Bryce we love you 😍😍😍
XJLCA but i love his facial hair 😍😍😍
The world just needs more Bryce 😂😂😂
she did a LOVELY JOB .. good for her!

Hello Angela
Seen alot of tiny house videos, and this one is basically my favorite. The simplicity, the openness, the layout and (for some strange reason), the stairs - and the upstairs windows... just all seem to make sense. If I had a tiny house, I'd model it after this one.
The only thing that would be different (well, four things): A larger stovetop. A bit of a deck/porch (very simple, flat space - could be built onsite and then taken apart for moving), and (why not?) maybe a ladder up to a rooftop sitting area - always a temptation with a nice, flat roof - the solar panels only take up half or less of the space... Oh, and some shelving for clothes - could be very skinny shelves tucked away somewhere - but would not like to get dressed every day out of boxes or drawers...
Again - just about my favorite.
Oh - one more thing. The couch area could do triple-duty and still look about the same - couch, full-size guest bed unit (just pull out a section from underneath and put cushions for sleeping - or fold down the back part) -and maybe a table that pulls out or folds down with various size choices from one person to dining-room size. And pullout benches. It could all be done in a very subtle way with the existing couch-footprint.
All comments aside, it is just super-beautiful exactly the way it is - bravo to Antje....
I would like to have fold up porches and stairs
The extra 2 feet make all the difference.
Amazing video,
Every time I'm feeling a bit stressed, I watch one of your tiny house videos, it seems like such a relaxing way to live your life.
Hope I can live like that one day!
Keep up the good work!
i want to build a tiny home just so BRYCE can come over for a visit and make me smile!!
At 58 yrs old....I also plan on a TINY Home!! It may take a MIRACLE but I have FAITH it WILL happen!!!
That's great Bea! I'm sure you will make it happen. Best of luck!
Bea Lynn good luck 👍
Thank you friends!! I have realised if I WANT something, I NEED a PLAN. Otherwise the Day to Day business of Living..takes up all of my time & energy. So I am actually--drum roll!!--- ASKING & SEEKING help from Knowledgeable people on HOW to make My Dream/Miracle happen!! Finally I am learning to - Ask - for Help instead of being too Prideful even Ashamed! that I don't understand all of the Legalities or necessary steps to proceed!! After my husband passed, I was LOST. FINDING myself has been a Journey. I WILL get my Tiny Awesome Home!! I BELIEVE it WILL Happen-and I am ready for the Hard work!! Bring it ON!! Others like me-- we should form a GROUP!! What do you all think?! GOD Bless!!🙏💗
😀👍👍👍👍
At 59 I'm hoping for a tiny home for my adult kids, who still live here (we started our family quite late). They need their own space, but a full sized home is out of the question. These are so amazing and wonderful :)
I'm also 58, and more than half way through building my Tiny House in West Auckland. It feels liberating, exciting, creative, and very grounding.
the first non claustrophobic house I've seen. really perfect room for change as well..
Wonderful home! I just love your interviewing style and genuineness too.. you need your own tv show 😊👍
Why would he compromise what he does by letting a network control his work- check the hits his You Tube vids get! Agree with your other comments totally.
great work, guys. i agree with what you said at the end, no matter how many tiny houses you see there is always something surprising to see and always something to learn from
I would like to make a suggestion to the home owner: get a methane bio digester! With the cows and horses, all she would have to do is collect the manure, drop it into the bio digester, and bam! she can replace the energy draining electric stove with a gas stove!
Very interesting, great idea
BeauSc4Ever please please direct me where I can find out more? tia
@@itsmyparty4637 Saw they never answered you, but I believe they were referring to the HomeBioGas 2.0 toilet. Composting toilet that you also feed with your food waste as well. Apparently you can get multiple digesters if you need more methane.
This is one of the best tiny homes I've ever seen... it looks like a small apartment. It's got a large kitchen and bathroom and ACTUAL stairs leading up to the loft. What a great layout! :)
Bravo! This tiny house feels like a home- no shade to other THOW. I mean there is something normal sized about it. Im not sure if its the scale of appliances or the stairs but this doesnt seem like a tiny house at all.
+Евгений Увин It feels very airy. The lack of 'mementos' or wall pieces helps keep it very open. I love the design but I'd have a few personal pieces about or used in the design.
One of the best tiny house i have ever seen, really like this one.
This channel makes me want to have my own tiny house someday.
Light fixtures made out of plungers?????!!!! Now that surprised me. LOL! :)
i'd worry about the rubber burning.
it's weird the things people decide to be thrifty on.
she paid 75 grand for the house, but doesn't want to pay for light shades.
Tari Akpodiete
She's using LED lights. They don't give off any residual heat.
Okie Rider smart move actually
@@Sig721Tau those are not LED lights.
What most people say when they get a compliment about there house:
'Thank you', 'Thanks a lot', 'That's so nice of you'
This woman: 'Yep', 'I know'
So. What's wrong with agreeing that one's house is beautiful?
Her accent sounded quite German.😃 We usually cut the crap and like to talk about the real stuff. She might appear a bit rude from a NZ perspective, but as a German I can tell it was not meant to be, she was just really happy about her tiny house. 🙂🤗
Jola Ajtak is she German? I though Dutch...
@@loesepoes18 I dont know. I just found her accent quite German, but might be Dutch. The name Antje is Dutch, but also exists in Germany.
I completely forgot about this comment. And why I said that but eh whatever. I’m Dutch, Antje seems like a real dutch name
I'm really envious that (especially New Zealand) is so progressive! Here in the U.S.A. we are limited to 8 1/2', what a beautiful home. Creative, functional, and responsible. Great work!
(A few years later...) I believe what she has done is exploit a sort of loophole in NZ where if the house is not integrated with the chassis, but instead can be de-coupled, then the house is treated as a carried load rather than a trailer. Normally the maximum width of a 'light simple trailer' (can be used on a standard driving licence) is 2.55 m (~8 1/3'), which can be a tight fit on many NZ roads, but oversized loads are permitted to be up to 3.1 m (~10 1/6') without requiring a pilot vehicle, although there are some restrictions and requirements such as not being able to drive in major urban areas during peak traffic hours.
We are not limited to 8 1/2'... lots of 10' wide tiny houses here in US..
This is one of my FAV tiny houses.... Love the design and decor... Feels very spacious!!
Nice looking space! I designed a larger home constructed with SIPS and was impressed, so now my goal is to construct a tiny house out of SIPS for myself!
What a great tiny house. Love the large kitchen and bathroom. The extra width really makes a big difference.
This TH is what convinced me to go wider but still squeaking by the necessity for permits or pilot. 👍
I love the open concept. She did an amazing job! What a rich experience to live and be surrounded by something you built!
Hi Bryce - You always have awesome videos. I've noticed after viewing all your videos that all people who either are living in a tiny home or thinking about building one - they all are very intelligent, hard working, resourceful and have a wonderful sense of humor! I really appreciate your hard work Bryce. Take care my friend.
Hey Charles! Yeah, I think that people who tend to gravitate towards alternative housing often see the world from outside the box. I'm aways really impressed with what people come up with, and actually my favourite part of making these videos is getting to meet all these wonderful people. Thank-you for watching!
I owe you a million thanks Bryce for making these awesome videos. They're really inspirational. Take care!
This is my fave - loving the design concepts an waking up to horses as neigh... bours... scuse pun :)
It's amazingly easy to love tiny homes! For me, it's just basically having the ability to live in a home I can afford, then live someplace with low cost, live basically where I decide & last just living in a safe, cozy space that is all mine to own!
I take away something from every one of these episodes. Sometimes it's something I want to incorporate when I finally make my own tiny home, sometimes it is something I know I don't want, but I learn something from each program. I think another reason I enjoy these programs so much is that Bryce seems to understand this concept also and always finds something good to take away from each and every home he visits. Bryce, I can't wait to see your tiny house and see what has inspired you.
can't wait till i've saved enough money to build and design my own tiny house myself! great video as always :)
Awesome that you're getting ready to build your own Conner! Best of luck, and thanks for watching.
The design of this house is so gorgeous and sleek!! I really love the sneaky hidden stairs and the big bathroom. This design of the stairs kinda reminds me of the house with the climbing wall. I feel like I'd need a full set of stairs like that - I have no idea how people deal with ladders lol Loved this video! Thanks for sharing :-)
Amazing the difference the extra width makes to the whole look and style, that must be lovely to live in.
Easily one of my favourite kitchens in a tiny house! The extra width really makes a difference doesn't it? For someone who might move the dwelling just a few times, yet wants to use the home long term and invest in the extra building cost, I really like the wider home as a feasible option for many people. Another stunner Bryce, keep it up. From Canada.
„Perfekt“ :) awesome house! :)
I can totally understand her desire for a well insulated house!
I really like what this woman has done in her home. The light shades she made out of a plunger that gives a whole new meaning to recycling. It's also aesthetically pleasing to the eye it doesn't look like its from a plunger, love how she set her kitchen and the openness to her home. Great job.
I wouldn't mind living on this one. So much my style!
Luísa Mano stick a normal one on each side and it's a palace.
If a liked to live in palaces I wouldn't be seeing Tiny Houses videos. Don't you agree?
This one IS really spacious, WOW!
So much room! Really beautiful. Thanks for another great video!
I so love the open! She did a great job. I could take her home and make it more off grid, it really is versatile! Good mind!
Very cool...I would have loved to learn more about the technical specs of her solar and battery setup that allows her to run such high wattage appliances such as wash machine and oven. Also, is she plugged in to a well for water supply and some sort of septic system for drainage of her shower, sink and wash machine water? If not, how does she get rid of her waste water? Love your videos, but wish you would at least spend a few moments discussing these "nuts and bolts" type issues that could help others figure out what is technically feasible with a tiny house.
I think you'll find that the current draw from the oven will be very high, especially when it's converted into a 12v or 24v system. The amperage draw will be enormous. She said she has to be very careful when she uses it. The batteries will be taking a hammering. The washing machine doesn't use anywhere near as much power. She did mentioned that she's using mains water from the house. A very nice build. Good to see the Separett toilet too.
I wouldn't imagine the washing machine is too much of a problem, as a single woman, would she use it more than every other day? I doubt it. Maybe she uses the oven to cook one large meal like a lasagne, then use it as four/five portions. The panels look to be a metre by 1.5 mtr, so it's safe to assume she's got at 1500/2000w at her disposal. That should produce enough for anyone I would av thought.
matthew wood I had a wash machine like that in my apartment. It's a washer/dryer combo but runs on a 110 line , rather than what a normal dryer would run a 220. I'm not 100% about hers , but mine ran on low wattage.
i only use mine once week
Tron likewise!👍🏽☀️☀️
Love ❤️, light, airy, bright, just fabulous!!!!
What a truly fabulous place. I love how she can't sew but can create a barn door and those awesome plunger lampshades. I taught myself to sew, I was useless at school and years later a relative pointed out that I sew in the opposite direction to normal. Now I can sew in either direction, so I just need to make an awesome door now without knowing what I'm doing 😂 What an incredible place this was 💖💖
This channel has given me the chance to have an ambition and dream to have my own tiny house someday. Thank you for making this channel possible.
This beautiful home appeals to my introverted nature on so many levels. I can feel the peace through my screen. 💜
this one is amazing. i love the 3 meters, works really well. the stairs are cool well. all in all a clear and nice look
This is the best tiny house I've seen to date! Bravo!
plenty of space, i love the layout.

Hello samantha
Binge watching these videos and the moment and it’s great to see a proper couch and to hear Bryce ask about the land.
Hey Bryce, I've been watching your videos for quite a while now but I was wondering, is anyone surprised that you're building a tiny house when they meet you a realise you're a giant. How tall are you and has your height affected the design of you own house much?
haha. Yeah! I think I'm the last person that anyone would expect to build a tiny house. I'm about 6.4, so it certainly has affected the design for my own home. In saying that, I'm comfortable in the vast majority of places that I visit, so long as the area under the loft space is high enough for me to stand up straight!
Living Big In A Tiny House
good one LOL
John Kelly Hi. Was working during how much has been spent on these homes and how many man or women hours Hqve been used in these projects. Great vids. 👍
Bryce, I'm really excited for that one future video where you conduct a tour of your own tiny house! That would be lovely and entertaining to watch, kind of summing-up all your past experience with tiny homes.
Also, interviewing and being interviewed at the same time :P
Every now and then I rewatch some of my favorites of your Tiny House tours, and this remains one of my favorites. The simplicity, practicality and personalization of the build remind me how adaptable tiny houses can be. There's so much to admire about this one in particular. It makes me so happy your 'library' is available. Thanks.
So lovely and open! Not like those Tetris tiny homes where it's crammed to the brim.
Love this spacious design. Bathroom is amazingly large. To wake up and have a spectacular view. The owner really thinks out of the box. I'm sure she will enjoy this house for many years.
You are the most positive and enthusiastic person I think I've ever witnessed. I really enjoy your work....thank you!
Bryce, couldn't agree more with your final words. Thanks for sharing all of it with us, it's really nice to get to know all these fantastic people and the amazing things they've done.
Wow, to watch her mind at work is amazing. Great video
Love her home and how she made things out of pallets and unusual items. She kept thinking outside the box & her home looks great too.
What an immaculate home. Beautiful piece of land. The design allows so much light in. Those seeds (looked like avocados) on the window sill @8:20 are going to flourish :-)
Well spotted! Yup, avocado seeds. :)
haha I thought they were toffee apples!
Good eye CCC!
CoolCat Carolena YES l love the land.
Hi, I am from India and I can really see the tiny house movement as a solution to many of the housing issues especially those faced by young couples who are caught in the home loan and rent debt trap. I hope that the government eases some of the land / housing policies to make way for this movement
Bryce, you're looking cuter & cuter every time I see you. Ok this lady is so sweet. Love all the care & thought she's put into her house. Love her kitchen & especially LOVE her bathroom💝! Wishing her all the best & happiness in her life.🌞🎶🌻!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! The kitchen, the loft, the living room. Love the stairs to the loft. So much thoughtful, caring detail.
That really my dream tiny house ❤️ I'm interested in interior design and that hose reflects definitely my taste! All the things which are made look so so so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Plungers as light fixtures, so creative. I never would have thought of that.
I love this lady! She’s so kind and so innovative! I’m proud of her for her good work on this pretty house!
Great barn door for bath - really wonderful - Bryce & I love the shower! wow-wood burning stove + beautiful tile behind sink+ 6 solar panels ❤️🙏
Wow. Getting a tiny house built and now regretting the plans after watching this. This house is perfect.
Nope, the manufacturer will charge a lot for that kind of change. This house is just really nice. She did a great job. Good luck with your tiny house journey all of them are great in their own ways
I'm addicted to this channel now. You guys have convinced me.
I just found your channel and I just gotta say good job man. The amount of care you put into your videos makes it hard to believe you're able to put out so many so frequently especially when you consider the time involved in reaching out and traveling to so many different homes! Keep up the good work, your videos are an inspiration to work hard
Big kitchen. Big bathroom. Same here. Very nice place.
Beautiful! It's always such a treat to see the notice that you've put up a new video.
I lov the space !!! it's so spacious it doesn't feel like such a tiny home except for the bedroom area. Beautiful job!
I love that plunger idea, Antje!!! I'm totally going to find something similar to make a light cover with.
I love that Antje got in European tilting windows! They're everywhere in Germany and so convenient because they allow airflow even when it's raining or you want to leave for a few hours without inviting a break-in. I want them in my next house :).
Beautiful home. She has clever ideas. Love reusing, recreating stuff.
Excellent drone footage this episode Bryce & team!
Love the bathroom & love the way she designed her hidden stairs. Xx
Excellent tiny house. Thank you for showing us dear Bryce & Rasa.
Great stuff! Getting so many ideas for our own tiny house. Keep up the fantastic work Bryce.
I love this tiny home the best!! 👍👍👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the vid. :)
Hello Evie
This program makes me happy! A real treat to go to another world. Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing. I think this house is top drawer. SIPs in a tiny house - I thought I was the only one that thought it would work.
Wow, the hair!!! You still have that welcoming warm nature but glad the hair got a little upgrade over the years!!
Such a smart idea to use the structurally insulated panels! I really like her layout -- feels so roomy -- & the hidden stairwell in the back.
Love the staircase to the sleeping loft. I've not seen anything like that... of course this house is wider, which perhaps is the reason this can be done. Very lovely home... inspiring for sure.
I admire this independent and creative woman! She has grit and determination and so much of the qualities of a modern woman. The house is a work of art and I don't even mind the plungers.
Beautiful! Loved the innovative lampshades! Thanks for sharing Bryce!
Hi Bryce. May I ask you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE to always include the dimensions including the length!! Without them I find it hard to understand the design elements. Thanks so much,
(and I LOVE your series)
Lea, a retired Registered Nurse in Northern California US
The WOW factor of this design is inspiring. As an American this would be the perfect size and space for single living. And the lightning made with a plunger, very clever
Everytime i watch this channel the host was very humble and genuine. I love him the way he was impressed and look amaze in every tiny house his interview. 💖 he deserve 2.M subcribers and the gold play button.
I really loved her house, is so perfect!
Very nice home. Very impressed to see it uses regular appliances and only 6 solar panels! Would love to have seen more about the solar set up in this one.
Before I watch it till the end: german accent vom Feinsten
Was just browsing through the comments if anyone noticed it lol. You can't overhear it :-)
