Great win still, but a win/loss don't automatically mean a fighter is better; Floyd beat Manny in a close fight, but it's because he's bigger and his style aged better (since they didn't fight prime vs prime). Despite that, Manny is a better fighter; he beat more prime fighters in more weight classes and he is higher ranked all-time by anybody who knows boxing (such as Kellerman). Same goes for Duran / SRL: Duran is better for the same reason. Floyd didn't fight many prime greats (why he's undefeated), so if Canelo wins at CW, then beats Benavidez, Charlo, Beterbiev, Id say he's a better fighter than Floyd despite the loss to Floyd and GGG.

I still knew I'd get more deepdive than I expected. I love boxing much more than that (eg concentrate on fights not mentioned in my home country (RSA)).
