Damian Lillard has made some very bold statements recently about his future in Portland. Now his future is becoming clear and it looks like he will finally play with a superstar teammate whether it be with the Trail Blazers or not. - Sport
At this point both Dame and Portland are damaging eachother, the blazers can't make contending teams for Dame, and now Dame its making it harder for the blazers to rebuild, a literal toxic relationship
bucks should trade jrue ,grayson allen, and some picks for dame.
What teams should Dame go to?

Wow......didn't know you could see the future.
So who the blazers trading dame to and for what? 😮
Just wants like 4 super teams in the league. Always making vids of who should go where. Yeah lets make the nba more predictable
lmaooo bro mad that dame going to leave due to his team being incompetent
@@junkyarddogjyd347 his brand is based on loyalty. Where do you think he is going? He moved his entire family out of oakland to live here in a very nice suburb of Portland. His shoe deal os with Adidas, which has their North American Headquarters here in portland. You are talking about a guy who would rather be in the conversation of having been 10 toes down and been down rather than chase a ring. He could never win a ring with portland, retire a blazer player and then go one to work in their front office for the rest pf his life and be fine within himself being apart of the "greatest players who never won a championship" conversation because he's a guy who was recruited by ONE college, from a neighborhood that values loyalty over results and has the confidence to not link his happiness to a title. You got good videos but u say this every year. I’m sorry AM hoops he’s not leaving, he’s said this before it’s more than just about basketball. His family lives there his kids go to school there that’s where he’s been for about a decade. It’s more than basketball u say he’s gonna leave every year. He’s not
I agree. Hope they get wembanyama
Haven’t watched the video yet, but I think even if Dame wants to stay, maybe it might be time for Portland to part with him, not just the star wanting to leave. With Dame, they’re kinda stuck with having to build around him, and granted they haven’t been doing well with it, but I think Portland might want to become a high upside team like OKC, with their already high potential guys like Sharpe and Simons.
if the blazers trade for siakam, chris boucher and otto porter jr, with dame and grant, they are a playoff team next year. salaries are doable and players are gettable in trade.
True, if dame wanted to leave, hed do it before he signed the max ext. And i think dame wants to retire a blazer. He just pressures the org to try and make a trade for a star teamate. But i doubt hed leave portland
He will be leaving
I respect people like Dame that are loyal to their team.
true but at this point it is dumb loyalty. come on he is 32 and his prime might be ending soon to win a chip
ok that did nothing fot him
It’s rare these days
Dame was loyal. It's now time for the team to return the favor.
underrated comment
Agreed!
for any team who is serious about rebuilding, they need to trade their star for future, especially when your star still has value
Im rooting for Dame. You can see his hunger. Bless the team who gets him, they will get a very hungry shark.
You are exactly right. Dame will be paired with a star this offseason one way or another. Sadly, whether they knew they were doing it or not, Portland has developed a rebuild roster over the last few years. Simons, Sharpe, Reddish, Thybulle, Knox, Watford and a multitude of picks and other young players. Dame needs a superstar teammate and the organization needs a rebuild. The choice is simple.
Imagine the Blazers get kyrie lmao

i think there is 1 blockbuster they can do that makes the blazers with dame a playoff team. if the blazers traded for pascal siakam, chris boucher and otto porter jr. doable salary matches, and gettable players. Makes the defence better and maintains 3 pt shooting and offence with 2 way players and the bench deeper.
You should do the offseason plan for every team, just like last year
You can hear deMars daughter screem at 3:05
I think this vid needs a bit of an update post- Bucks/Heat
Seeing Dame and Jimmy Butler shred the postseason would be amazing. As a Sixers fan I’d love to see him in Philly, but would hate to lose Maxey
depending on how the Nuggets-Postseason run might end this year, they should consider Upgrading on Point Guard and send Jamal Murray and Michael Porter plus a Pick or two for Lillard and Nassir Little
Hope Damian wins a title one day, I really like this guy.
Very unlikely with the new rules of the CBA.
High salaried teams will be punished.
@@jerry25a Is Portland considered a high salary team?
@@AndyHTu I am a Sixers fan, and I am stating why the Sixers want no part of Damian's contract. Maybe ATL can gamble.
Sixers will still be a contender without Dame.
Dame would guarantee the Sixers were essentially hard capped above the 2nd Tax Apron for years. The penalties are huge.
@@jerry25a Oh I see. I'm not sure where I can see Dame fitting with the sixer's regardless. I didn't realize that was one of the prospects there.
I don't know why more players haven't gone to join Giannis or Nikola. I know MIL and DEN doesn't have the appeal as LA, NY, BOS or MIA, but still. I'd want to play with those guys.
Great video Casey. I love your videos. I think same will leave Portland
Portland has a good roster imo ATM they need to add more role players; 3&d types, and another point guard who can facilitate. And more rebounding.
I appreciate Dame being loyal and not trying to go somewhere to form a super team. That's something that's been very rare, and it reminds me of the NBA's golden age. Larry only played with Boston, Isiah only played for Detroit, Kobe stuck with the Lakers, Reggie & the Pacers, etc. Lebron started all of this when he went to Miami, and I feel like that's when the league started to go downhill. But there's a point where someone wants to win, and if your organization is not doing enough to help you, you should at least explore some other options.
Even if is great for the teams to have loyal players. Is not good business for the players that can't get a team around them to be contenders for the championship. That was Lebron's, and many others before him like Rodman, Ben Wallace, Shaq, reason and is the very same reason Dame feels this type of way. Lebron showed how the teams can collapese if they don't value the superstars they have, and more aggressive teams in the FA market or trades give them a chance to be successful at a championship. Never in the history of the NBA you got a championship team without making calculated trades to build a team and that means some players will have to go from one team to other, disregarding their loyalties. The loyalty era is just a stupid narrative, in my opinion, and really attempt to devalue the player's autonomy to make decisions that will benefit their carrer. After all, is their live, we'll being, reputation, and accomplishment feel that are in the line not ours. Lol😅😂
I find it hard to imagine that just 1 or 2 star players beside Dame would be enough. Having good bench and supporting players are also necessary. The closest example would be the Nets with KD, Kyrie and Harden. Despite them not playing at the same time together during that season, and with good shooting players like Seth Curry, their bench production was not up to par. When there are good rotational players at a cheap price, star heavy teams may work better. In the Free Agency landscape of the NBA, that is hard to find.
Dame and Harden in HOU would make my day
I really hope the Blazers win the lottery. They deserve it. Never tanked and Dame should be rewarded for his loyalty
I would love dame in miami, but it's not happening.
Why
why is it not happening?
i dont think its for the best, they already have the guy in jimmy butler

I think the Nuggets could be a great team to trade for Dame. They have the pices with MPJ and Murray and if they are flaiming out of the Playoffs this year they will have to make some moves. And a starting 5 of Dame, KCP, Bruce, Gordan and the Joker sounds amazing
Nuggets need MPJ
Personally I think Dame should go to the league champ on a bargain deal

No picks and still no defense on the nuggets
@@drewp839 did you not watch the game last night? You do realize the nuggets are #4 ranked defense in the league right
Thanks so much for the ad timer
i’d say the bulls could be a good candidate too. lonzo, pwill, coby white (via s&t), unprotect portlands pick, plus some extras.
Arturas made it pretty clear in post season presser that chicago isn’t interested in rebuilding and are committed to winning.
I’d love to see a big 3 of Dame, Bam, & Jimmy in that Miami Heat culture, or Dame, James Harden, & Embid with James Harden facilitating the offense 🔥
they wouldnt have dame harden and joel harden would have to leave
You got Dame, you don't need Harden.
I want dame brown sharpe green and 2 bigs
I would love to see Maxey and Dame in the backcourt in Philly
Dame with Jimmy sounds great
I think the Pels or Knicks would be better fits but I believe there is a perfect 3 team trade out there including both. Pels trade Zion to NY and Blazers trade Dame to New Orleans. NY sends RJ, cap filler, and picks to the blazers. NY also sends the pels another pick. Win win for every team.
Great vid again!
If Dame is going to get a superstar teammate in Portland, it better be a forward or center. Trading Anfernee Simons would be fatal, considering how much he can help the team go on scoring runs
These are by far the two most logical trades I've seen so far
Honestly i could see Dame going to the Heat. They def need an elite shooter like him, it’d be a great fit imo
I think their is a world where Beal goes to the Celtics brown to Portland and a good package of young guys and picks to the wizards
I think this deal could get done
Heat get Dame, Alec Burks
Pistons get Lowry (Bought out), Jovic
Blazers get Herro and 4 (originally 3) picks, maybe 1 swap, also maybe a player like Victor oladipo
bro no dame is worth wayyy more
That would be an astronomical L for Portland
Lmfao Herro and 3 picks when Gobert went for way more...always these hilariously undervalued trade suggestions on youtube.
Portland looks at that trade package, laughs, and hangs up immediately.
Portland is hanging up the phone lol. Ur getting herro and 3 picks also dipo who isn't even the same player
If trade actually happens I wish Dame the best. One of the most loyal players in the league right now, he deserves to be on a at least contending team.
Don't think any Dame hater can say anything about his loyalty. He carried this team for 10+ years, I think everyone will accept his departure.
100% correct about Dames Value this year being the best Portland will get. Next year if he can stay healthy he definitely won’t have the same value.
However this Trae Young for Dame swap would actually be insane for Portland, obviously it would do Dame dirty but he doesn’t have a no trade clause, he doesn’t pick where he goes. The NBA is a business and picking up a young star in return for our seasoned vet is a trade we should do and possibly send over a guy or two with Dame so he doesn’t feel hopeless. Hawks have shooters, and lengthy defenders, Capela who is one of the best big men in the league.
Trae for Dame all day.
Love the vids man
Not a heat fan but always been a dame supporter n I feel like the heat trade if they can put the right pieces together without wrecking the roster they have rn. Which they do have the market for it in Miami but i can’t imagine dame on heat in last playoffs🥶 do they make finals w dame last year or what y’all think??
I'm a Miami fan too, if they could get dame without giving up Butler or Bam, then yea I think there's a good chance they are in the finals last year. Lowry and Herro for Dame might be good for both teams, if slightly in Portland's favor really. Assuming Herro doesn't fall off a cliff, he's potentially an all-star player in the next few years and Lowry used to be. They get a young, promising player and an experienced and talented vet to help the youngins for their rebuild phase. Miami gets a bona fide allstar perimeter player to take the pressure off Butler. A big 3 of Butler, Bam and Dame sounds competitive with any other big 3 in the league.
oh wait, I hadn't finished the whole video. I forgot Lowry's contract is shitty, so Portland likely wouldn't even want him then. hrmm.
@@AAGEnzee Butler may have a ring rn if Lowry wasn’t paid like Russ n I get they want to pay the vet but contribution wise n consistency it makes absolutely no sense lmao idk lowery would most likely have to be the one for dame and he’s way too expensive for a bench pg😭
@@gagemclain8822 I forgot how the contracts and cap space can work, but I vaguely recall there is some loopholes that let Miami still pay some part of Lowry's contract after he's traded, without it effecting their cap space? I might be thinking of another sport though. But, if Portland isn't paying him the full amount and it lets Miami free up cap space for Dame and other solid roleplayers/bench, then it might be a great trade for both teams. Or, if Portland is going into rebuild and they are willing to accept paying his contract for an extra pick or something.
Lowry has been decent, and was definitely one of the best available options at the time for a 'win now' mindset, but he's no Dame. The heat desperately needed a good PG at the time, and Lowry was the best they could get. They certainly overpaid him, cause they were a little desperate. Butler wants to win and win soon. He knows he doesn't really have enough time left in his prime to go to another team and win a ring cause it'll take a few years to work the kinks out.
@@AAGEnzee like i said im not even a heat fan but I already know how lethal that could be
Don’t forget dame was injured for the first quarter of this season and throughout the season the blazers suffered injuries for key players including Nurk, Ant, Grant, and Nas.
Its fun watching Dame play , but I would be a little more entertained if he could get the ball up the court a little faster and also get plays moving a little faster.
Being known as a loyal superstar of this generation is his legacy... unless its a really good deal, he won't leave the Blazers.
NBA has never been this competitive and with so much talent in modern NBA, he knows the only thing left for him is to be remembered as a loyal superstar. He chose the easy route. Its a calculated move. Without this title, nobody will be talking about him after a decade.
He won't risk losing this title unless its a championship "guaranteed".
I want to see Lillard on the Pels or the Nuggets.
What about the Nets? They have the picks and the huge player packages that portland might want
I'm a lifelong Blazer fan here in Oregon and I never want to see another minute of Dame as a Blazer. Not because I don't love him. I want to see him excel somewhere else. We have been spinning our wheels for decades here in PDX.
dame should come to bk either him or luka would make us a very solid team our closest thing to a superstar is bridges we havey key role players like dinwiddie cam and royce we need a superstar that doesnt care about making a “super team” and we will be ok
When are off season videos coming? Can you do one about dallas
Brooklyn Nets would be a great fit for Dame!!! They have all the pieces.
Dame with Jimmy, two Big Hearts. If Miami can add up a Plumely level center together ... Now that's the BASKETBALL ROMANCE
i saw an interview of dame talking about how championship werent everything and that right there tells me why he doesnt have a ring, such a great talent on par with curry yet ringless
Not on par with curry
I was almost certain you’d say the knicks 🤣😂🤣😂
Signed a 4 year 200 million dollar contract, what amazing loyalty. Now if he took half of that to make Portland a contender then I would be impressed. Neither him nor the blazers are loyal or owe each other anything, this is a business. Get what you can get for yourself, and the team will trade you or cut you once you cant play anymore up to your previous level. Neither side should or is loyal.
I'm thinking the Brooklyn Nets they have a treasure chest of draft picks from trading KD and Kyrie, don't think they want to give up Mikal Bridges but they might have to if they want Dame, Spencer Dinwiddie, Cam Thomas, and Mikal Bridges or Cam Johnson depending on what Brooklyn will deal Bridges and what Portland is willing to take and 4 1st round draft picks for Dame. They might be able to get done with out Bridges or Cam Johnson by making it 5 1st round draft picks Dinwiddie Cam Thomas and Seth Curry for Dame.
Portland has too many issue to fill. His best bet is going to a already built team, but it's basically up to him 🤷 OKC would probably be the absolute perfect choice. They can easily send 5 or 6 firsts and a couple solid players. Pair him up with giddy and SGA then draft some more defense and depth 🤷
Dame would never go to OKC out of all places, they're a rival of the Blazers and the team in which state he played in college for (Utah), and they also had a rivalry with the Warriors, who were previously in Oakland
after what happened in the 2019 playoffs there’s no way he goes to okc

Throw in the Knicks and the Nets as possible trade destinations.
Dame better stay in Portland he’s done so much for the organization its only right he gets it done there. Im rooting for you Dame get that ring ⌚️
I think Dame will be a Knick by next season. The offer: Toppin, Grimes, Hartenstein, Barrett, 2023 (DAL) FRP and their 2026 FRP for Dame and Nurkic. This turns the Knicks into actual championship contenders, plus Hart is reunited with Dame in the starting five.
I think the Heat also have a good offer of Oladipo, Martin, Robinson, Herro, Jovic and a 2028 FRP for Dame and Nurkic. I think the better offer is the New York one though.
Both trades undervalue Dame by a lot. The guy is a superstar and will warrent much more.
what are you smoking? Blazers would never accept that knicks offer, the heat offer is reasonable
U have no idea what you’re talking about kid. You’re telling me you’d trade those 4 key bench pieces for an old dame almost nearing the end of his career when we DIDN’T trade for Donovan Mitchell?! Same type of narrative was built around that trade too but look who’s in the playoffs UP ONE with a more BALANCED team? Yea na. I’m good on Dame. As much as I luv his play and what he can bring to the table I’d pick a gritty balanced team that wants to win anyday.
Grimes toppin Barrett hartenstein WILL develop into beasts.
IM CALLING IT NOW

@@ronjeffery12345 You might never get a chance to get a superstar player again with a realistic package. It's not like Dame is gonna fall off a cliff. Sure, I could see his scoring going down a bit, who knows, maybe like 29 PPG instead of 32. But he'd still be the best player on your roster and you'd have a legitimate big 3. I'd make the deal. The Heat would be more desperate though.
We’re not letting go of Grimes. They can take Fournier, Deuce, DRose, Barrett, Toppin, and Sims plus picks. They can rebuild with that and we upgrade while keeping the core intact.

I don't think the Sixers do the trade strictly on the fact that they're going to have to go through 2 teams with elite wings to make it out of the East. Boston and Milwaukee.
The Nuggets have better capital and if they don't win this year should be looking to move Jamal or MPJ or both. They have a few 1st round picks coming up.
Dame’s not leaving. This is the same thing everyone has been saying for the last 5 years. Portland has a ton of picks, players and salary to move to bring in a few big time players. Should be a fun summer, but not because Dame is leaving.
@Casey Keirman if the Blazers tried to do a blockbuster trade for Pascal Siakam, Chris Boucher, and Otto Porter Jr, the salary is doable and the players are gettable. The trade would make the blazers in the very least a playoff team. The blazers dont have enough for Siakam and OG but they could get siakam and boucher and porter in a blockbuster.
Could throw in Grant + a 2024 FRP for Siakam, OG and Boucher
Grant's contract is about to expire though

Why are you talking about Damian Lillard with all of the excitement going on in the playoffs right now? This video should be made in the off-season
Your bugging having Jaylen Brown on the consolation prize trade list with Beal and Lavine on the grand prize list😂 I'd much rather have Brown then Beal or Lavine.
It would be extremely difficult to trade for him tho. The Blazers don't really have anything the Celtics would want besides Dame himself, since they would want to remain contenders and get another star to pair with Tatum, they wouldn't be as interested in a bunch of picks and young prospects.
Unless another big star like Luka or Zion also wants out then I could definitely see a multi team deal happening.
I think there are more teams than this. Boston could send Brown before he leaves and pair him with Tatum, the Bulls could find a 3rd team and trade Derozan with picks and swaps similarly and realistically get a 3rd even to go with Lavine and Dame. Cleveland could put something around Garland and picks to pair with Mobley and Mitchell. What if Golden State offers Poole, Kuminga and picks and swaps? Toronto has enough pieces to make multiple moves to add Dame with Pascal and someone like Derozan. Point being, that if Dame finally accepts the fate, you’ll see teams move heaven and earth.

Blazers fan here. As much as it pains me to say it, it would probably be best for both parties to part ways. We obviously can't meet his demands. He does not have the time or patience to wait for us to be in a position to do so. We have a nice young core coming together with Anfernee Simons, Shaedon Sharpe, and whoever we acquire in the upcoming draft. Plus we will put ourselves in a position to add more impact players through the draft with whatever assets we get in the Dame trade. We also have a FO who is capable of evaluating superstar-level talent as evidenced by turning the 7th pick into Shaedon Sharpe who has star player written all over him. The only way it would make sense to hold onto Dame would be if we win the 1st pick and get Wemby. Wembenyama will be an all-star level player and DPOY candidate right out the gate and a superstar-level player before Dame is ready to retire. Dame, Ant, an improved Shaedon, Jerami Grant, and Wembenyama mixed with some quality role players is a team that could contend for a championship right away. If we don't win Wemby, it's probably time to move on 😢
