Feb is my birth month and it's such a treat to see my current fave genre as that month's theme. What's more is that I am really into depressing music so double win for me 🥹 More power to your channel!
You should probably check out Adrianne's work on that last Big Thief album. There's a half dozen folky/country tunes on it that would fit right in on this album. The rest of the album is an eclectic mix of shoegaze/freak folk/trip-hop and other weirdness, held together by Lenker's songwriting.
Checked out the album and artist thinking I might not be able to cover it but without giving too much away, I think it might just fit within the April genre I plan to cover. Thanks for the recommendation!

Are you familiar with fiona apple or tori maos? If not they're AMAZING songwriters fiona is more poetic and a wordsmith while tori is more abstract and playful but both have an artpop edge and maturity to them which I like For fiona when the pawn... is the way to go and for tori little earthquakes (her first and more poppier album) is a good introduction But boys for pele will decide whether you really get her (partly joking) I'll shut up now
