I have a feeling he will. Probably a few years down the line. He’s had massive acclaim and success from showing people his vulnerability and that pressure can be too much for people to handle. He’s got two award-winning records under his belt before he’s 25 years old. I’m glad he found the courage to step back for a while, I’d rather that than another Kurt Cobain or Ian Curtis to mourn.

Concorde was a supersonic turbojet powered airliner that operated from 1976 to 2003 as a joint venture between the UK and French governments. Due to high operating costs and lack of public trust after a crash in 2000, Concorde went bankrupt. It was a beautiful piece of engineering that pushed the limits of technology at the time but it was always doomed to fail due to flaws inherent to supersonic commercial travel.
Many of the lyrics on the album refer to a failing/failed relationship that Isaac, the lead singer, still has not accepted is over or he has not accepted that it was never meant to be. He's put so much of himself into the relationship, that it might feel like he's lost a part of himself, like some kind of sunk cost fallacy. The Concorde jet put so much money into running it, they couldn't accept that there were problems that were always going to lead to bankruptcy, another sunk cost fallacy.

This album is one of those special ones that knocked me off of my feet the way an album does every 5 years or so. A month or so after this came out (I had never heard of BC,NR before), I was sick and alone in my dorm room for an entire week. As I was laying on the couch, I came across this album and decided that I would try to give it a full listen despite feeling awful. I was severely unprepared for the glory that this album brings. Throughout the album, I found the physical pain of my sickness resonating well with the somber or sad lyrics. I felt the emptiness of my usually lively dorm room echoing those same feelings. But at the same time the depth of the musicality in these songs brought me so much joy and life. As I listened, I stood up and danced, sat down and Cried, and stared off into space contemplating every sound and line in the songs. This is a special record, and I am so glad so many others feel the same way.
As for other albums that hit me this hard, I have a few:
    Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
For Emma, Forever ago by Bon Iver
Wild Go by Dark Dark Dark
    An Awesome Wave by Alt-J

If you take requests, there’s another British group that I think you may enjoy. Ed Tullet has a project called Hailaker. Their self-titled album from 2019 is one of my favorite indie/folk albums at the moment. If you’re familiar with Novo Amor, they’re pretty similar, stylistically. You spun some Bon Iver not too long ago - relatively similar vibe. There’s a track on the 2019 album titled “Coma/Smoke” that is, in my eyes, a masterwork of composition. Incredible piece of art.

Would you guys ever think about tackling something as hefty as a Swans record? Those 2 hours lengths are brutal but I'd love to see To Be King or The Glowing Man, especially with your dad's focus on how things are mixed and the writing. Also Talk Talk's Laughing Stock would be an amazing record as well!

This is a first for me but, this time i do wish that Connor gave Kevin some insight at least at "Mark's Theme", because its such a beautiful little tribute that encapsulates the post-pandemic world, the saxophonist made that song for his uncle who died to covid, who was also a close figure to all the kids in the band
