My car door lock jammed up, and refused to open. I tried for a solid 15 minutes moving the key back and forth to try and wiggle it free, but to no avail. Then, I open my phone and watch this video. I get a small hammer out of my garage, and about 30 seconds later I am inside my car. Such a simple video, but very helpful. Thank you so much!

I work at a truck shop and we do this to trucks all the time. We call them shake keys. If you have a key from the same manufacturer as the truck your trying to crank or unlock the door you can just insert the key in the ignition or door and move it up and down and back and forth and it will eventually turn over. It takes some practice but once you get the hang of it it's really easy and you can do it in a matter of seconds.

sparrows lock picks has inexpensive bump keys that are squared at the top, making "bumping" so much easier as your hitting a flat surface as opposed to a rounded surface. i can often bump something within 3 strikes. hes also failing to tell you some key (no pun intended) points that would allow you to bump easier. but the method he demonstrates clearly works and i wont salt his game as no ones paying me to instruct them and ole boy has a school.

Just make sure the pins inside are security pins, have a mortice lock as well(old fashioned type) and a very robust door frame and door with 3 inch screws used on hindges etc. The locks used in this video are the cheapest and without securiry pins.

Security pins can be bumped just as easily. 2 rows of pins is only solution , that or canted pins. Kinetic energy and gravity doesn't care that the pins are shaped differently (security mushrooms , serrated pins etc) the physics at play here will affect those pins the same exact way.

Luggage it's possible you might not have a key to accommodate the lock. Some locks have different number of pins verses a "normal" lock. Like the lock to the door of my shop (which is still a standard door lock) has different number of pins compared to my house door. You can tell just by looking at the actual manufactured key to see if you're bump key will accommodate your lock. (Assuming you have the original key as I'm guessing you are using your own lock for practice).
