The finest song by the greatest art-rock group of all time. Tragically overlooked, because they refuse to go with a major label. They should be household names. So very sad about the death of the lovely lady Mary. This was the group in their prime. It gives me exquisite euphoria.

Brilliant performance! Seeing Laetitia and Mary singing together made my eyes wet. Definitely my favourite version of Cybele's Reverie. The string section made the show stand out and unique. Wonder if the recording has a chance for a proper release (along with Les Yper Sound of the same session) in the future.

Each one was delivering at their heyday best, I was impressed by Laetitia's taking risks with her voice and bringing it places, touching sky. And Mary... her quasi Baroque la's to counter and silvery embellish Laetitia's lead were pure Chantilly créme. A powerful song like only they could deliver

Lol who thought you were weird? I always thought the most interesting thing about Stereolab was that they were groundbreaking/innovative and lyrically deep, but in a way that was extremely palettable and pleasant to most ears.

But it didn't really register when I came home from the pub in 1996 and switched on Jools Holland that this was the same group. But it was love at first hearing/sight. I saw them at Pitchfork Festival in Chicago. They were great, and it was so fricking hot that day I was worried they would die up there and myself too! But they were excellent. Funny thing I noticed, I had also just seen My Bloody Valentine in Chicago. And Bilinda Butcher was on the far left of the stage, and Kevin Shields was at the far right. Like they couldn’t possibly get far enough from each other. And Stereolab did the same thing thing, with Laetitia Sadier on the far right side and Tim Gane on the far left! Now if we could only get Cocteau Twins back together, somebody tell Elizabeth Fraser that she coild stand on one side of the stage and Robin Guthrie could be all the way on the other side. They wouldn’t really have to ever look at each other or talk to each other! Actually, that would be horrible to work with someone you had broken up with; so I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
