I lost a 10 year old American cocker spaniel in 2021 named Bentley to cancer. He was my best friend. By the end, he was in a lot of pain. Backyard breeder. People who overbreed or don't use proper breeding practices are evil.

These Cavs are prone to heart issues. A friend spent $10,000 trying to keep her 'Angus' alive. He replaced Casey who also died from a bad heart. The Cavalier is the sweetest dog ever. 😢

I just put down my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel after loving it for 15 Years. It never wanted to sit on our lap. It wouldn't play with us. It seemed to always be afaid. I don't know why. It was a sweet dog that just didn't want to interact with people or anything. I loved this dog and treated it well, but quite frankly it was a disappointment.
