    We upgraded our 500gph pump to a 1500 gph pump. Right now we just have our pool hoses twisted inside our other pump hoses. I will order the parts soon :) lol but yes the pump that came with the pool was horrible. But imma have to cut my pool and it's a quick set pool. Thank god they put those thick like 5 or 6 in circles on the pool. And we are also looking to get a skimmer :)

    Hey I didn’t realize there’s so much to do for an above ground pool LOL. I think the calcium stabilizer if I’m saying that right is for hard water. I live in Parker Colorado and the water is very hard and leaves calcium deposits on my Fossetts and things with water if I don’t clean regularly. Just thought I’d let you know thanks for the video enjoy.

    • @insanedrummer89
      @insanedrummer89  Před 4 lety +1

      lol nerds. The bottom line is you want a level ground. Sand is good at helping to level as well as cover all rocks and things that could pop the liner. I actually did put the tarp thing they give you in the package under the pool as well. In my opinion it’s all about what are you putting it on. A nice level grassy field, fine no sand, but yeah.

    I was told if its the intex sand filter pump , it its straight plug and play with the standard hoses that came with original filter pump , why did you have to buy the T valve split?

    • @insanedrummer89
      @insanedrummer89  Před 4 lety

      Because their are two different sizes. My pool just happened to be the smaller hoses. And the bigger pools have the larger hoses. So if you upgrade to a better pump really built for a bigger pool to get more efficiency, then you have to look into the hoses sizes.

    Helpful video. I bought an Intex 15x48 pool and upgraded to 3000 gph sand filter (smaller ones were sold out). Do you think the inlet air adapter kit that comes with the small 1000 gph pump (item 12368 and 12365) is okay for the larger sand filter and pump, in terms of pressure and no leaks? Or should I install the larger inlet kit that came with the pump (which means that i need to cut the liner to install it...). Thanks.

      Pearl of YAHUAH I do recommend it. That’s what I did, put a sand floor underneath. It helps protect against rocks and such tearing the linear. But it will settle down you can’t really count on it for maintaining level, that’s why in reality the ground work has to be done first then sand bed then pool tarp then the linear. That’s what I did and mine was still out 2 inches haha. But I tried my best.
