I'm very critical of info youtube videos...this was one of the best I've ever encountered. Clear, didn't skip over details (like most do), no stupid music or antics, not too long and chatty, just straight to the point and easy to understand. Great job.
Thanks, Stan! I'm a simple man, with a simple mind, which leads to simple videos haha. I appreciate the comment, and thanks for stopping by!
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact czcams.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Thank you. This is probably the first youtube video that has ever done what it said. Start to finish crystal clear instructions. Nothing skipped nothing added to bulk it out. Pure genius. Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching and dropping a line. :)

I don't know if you will see my comment, but if you do, I just got a Intex sand filter 2800
While I am running the filter it doesn't seem to sound right?
Instead of a constant humming noise it sounds like a humming then a break,if that makes any sense..lol
Also the needle is in the green but it jumps a little, still in green area but goes up & down?
I had a friend hook up the system, I am alone so I don't have any help, maybe you can tell me what to do about this situation.
Thank you!
You have no idea how helpful this video was for me, and you saved me a ton of time. Way better than the user manual, which does not describe it like you did!
Glad it helped!
This is very helpful! First time pool owner here.
4 years later. Great video. Thanks
Thanks, Erik! I'm kinda surprised it's still going this strong. Appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment!
Just bought a sand pump for the first time-- still in the box until I clean and prep my pool for the summer. This video is a big help to fully understand the functions!
Thank you. Excellent explanations, so much less confusing than the owner's manual. Much appreciated.
You're welcome!
Finally, only took less than 5 mins to explain everything, 👍👍👍 nice simple video Thanks...
thank you so much this really helped me to understand my pump a lot better
Awesome! Our manual got destroyed before I got to read it. Now I know what I am doing. Thanks for this short and precise instruction video.
Good in service (class), I am first time aboveground pool owner with an Intex sand pump, and so glad I purchased one because it works great. The water is so crystal clear its unbelievable, plus I do not have to clean that paper filter afterwards. Thanks again for the class.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful.
Thank You! You made this pump easy to figure out.
Do you have a video on lower pump pressure on a sand filter?
Great video. I've had mine in neutral this whole time and my water looking pretty cloudy. I've got it in filter mode now 😁
Great to hear! Once you get all the settings figured out it's really a nice pump and does it's job well.
Come on guy
So far the best explanation of how this sand filter works, thanks for posting.
You're welcome. Glad it helped and thanks for feedback!
My labels were hard to read. Thank you for showing, identifying, and explaining their functions. Very helpful and sand filter pump still work. Thanks, again for video.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much. My sand filter is working like new again. Intex should pay you to make their instructional videos.
Lol, if only! Thanks for the kind words. :)
You just answered ever question that I had about getting this Intex Sand Filter Pump! Thank you, it was so informative.
Awesome, glad it was helpful and thanks for posting! :)
Concise and informative, this instructional video is intelligently done. My system is several years old and the label has worn off and I no longer could read the settings. Your video provided what I needed. Thank you for posting.
You're welcome!
thanks man! I was struggling, had my hoses run wrong, wouldn't backwash of course no pressure from gauge , which I knew it needed, but with my intake hose installed wrong after watching your clip I got hoses correct, pool looks clear as well, water.thanks again for your time and effort to upload this, I know it took time.
Thank you for the first video that actually explained what i needed to know as a new owner...
You just saved me from getting a new pump. Thank You!!
I was thinking the same thing… Getting a new pump… I’m relieved because I’m sick and can’t work right now…😞😞
The BEST, Most Informative Video Explaining These Pumps!
I wish I had found Your Instructions 4 Hours ago! THANK YOU!!!
THANK YOU!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much. We bought pool/filter/accessories used and i had no idea how any of it worked. Been backwashing and rinsing weekly from recs from a friend. We need to drain the pool some to replace the hoses and learned to use the waste option.
Again many thanks, super helpful info!
You're welcome and I'm glad it was helpful! Thanks for leaving a comment! :)
Many thanks, I finally understand the backwash function, filter is running perfectly again 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks exactly what I was looking for and quick breakdown before I got going on a new sand filter pump
Great to hear!
Seriously best break down ever directly to the point
We literally set up our new pool yesterday and I am so thankful for your awesome review! Thank you for being so detailed! I’m definitely gonna be back to this video for help!
Glad it was helpful! Stop back and ask any questions if you have any.
@@GuidingBoltGaming hey my pool pump is leaking from the bottom any suggestions?
Thank you it's been 2 years since you posted this and still helping people.. thanks so much just what I needed.
You're welcome, glad it was helpful and thanks for the kind comment!
Hi there, I did filtration and the collection basket is filled with water, it looks like it going to explode, is that normal?
Thanks for the great video
The collection basket will fill with water, but it shouldn't look swollen or anything. What kind of pressure readout are you seeing on the tank?
Guiding Bolt mine is the same. Low pressure on the gauge and the basket is filled with water. Can someone please help!?!
@@nailz4lyfe Did you find the problem?
@@GuidingBoltGaming Hey buddy! I just wanted to say Thank You very much for the video. I am definitely grateful.
You did an excellent job with everything:
Voice, volume, camera angles, directions, details, and attentiveness to teaching. I don't know what to say about the thumbs down people. I think they need a mood filter, and put it on backwash. Lol.
You keep up the good work. You definitely helped me out.
Mine is the same way! Did anyone figure it out?
Nice work explaining. How do you vacuum the pool? I have a similar setup but haven't been able to figure it out. Thanks for sharing.
It needs to be on filter to vacuum.
@@ESPNEWS8 When on Neutral it flows amazingly. What is the difference between N and Recycle? When i put it on Filter, the flow pressure back into the pool reduces to about half of the 'Neutral' setting. Then after 10 minutes, it reduces further to a trickle of about a 1/4 of the N setting. Too slow to filter the pool and so the Algae is beginning to build. Tomorrow I will check all connections for any partial blockages, but am wondering if I also need to do replace or do anything to the sand or sand container? The pump and sand were new last year and stored dry in October with lid open for 9 months in my garage til this June. I used a leaf-blower to extract out the top dust, (dried bugs, leaf particles etc,) and I didn't shake or disturb the sand in the white barrel. I just carried it to the pool and attached the connections. Did I do anything incorrectly? When would you replace the sand or mix it about? Sorr for so many questions, but I do appreciate any and all positive responses 🙂
The video was outstanding, more self-explanatory than the instructions that was included with the unit. Thank you so much
You are welcome!
Found this video looking for solution for pressure gauge being in yellow. Backwash procedure fixed it. Thank you for the thorough explanation of each setting!
Glad it helped!
Thank you, do you happen to have a video explaining how to restarting pump after winter or I for got the steps and have no manual getting pump leaf basket filling with water on new sand and such.
did you ever figure out the closing for winter? currently trying now
Thank you for the info! My neighbor gave me his pool and pump and I’m trying to figure it out. When I turn on filtration there doesn’t seem to be suction, does it take a certain amount of time for pressure to build? I don’t want to burn the motor experimenting!
As long as there isn't air in the system already ,it should start up right away with good suction. Assuming you have the same or similar setup as mine. I would make sure you have enough water in the pool to fill the stock skimmer basket before the Intex filter sucks it out. If you aren't getting enough water in the tank attached to the pool the Intex will throttle back when air gets in the system. Then the skimmer tank will fill again, but now there is air in the collection basket that has to be released before it starts full output again.
One of the better CZcams videos....very clear, to the point and extremely helpful!! Thanks!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for visiting, and leaving a comment!
I have a question!!!!! The filter thing that’s connected to the pool and the filter with the pump, is that for certain pools only?
This helps a lot! I just bought a house that has an above ground pool and I had no idea how things operate. The previous owner left the manual but it really did not explain anything for me. Thank you for your detailed explanations!!
You're welcome!
any chance you can make a video about how you vacuum with your current setup? I had the same exact setup I'm having issues with using a vacuum plate in the skimmer and too much power being drawn from the sand filter. the best thing I found online was to drill holes in the vacuum plate I've done that and it just killed the suction power of the vacuum.
Great job. my question is do I need to check the sand or replace it ? I am in my second season with this pool.
It's typically good for 3-5 years, but you should check it yearly to make sure there isn't buildup on the top and clean it out if needed.
Guiding Bolt - first year using this pump. I drained the pool and am now taking everything apart. I didn’t realize I needed to backwash and rinse prior to draining. Is there any way to clean it out now?
You should do more instructional videos. Simple, concise, and quick. Thanks bro
You're welcome, thanks for the kind comment!
Excellent, easy for anyone to understand. Thank you.
Is it ok if my glass bulb checker thing have some sand inside it after doing a backwash?
Mine does too sometimes
Now why is it so hard to explain this in the manual? You’d think mine came with the instructions for a 1950s soviet rocket.
Thanks for the clarity.
Allow me to help you out in exchange. There’s no x in escape. Ess-kape. 😉
That's country English for ya! ;)
Shavin McCrotch do you leave it on filter most of the time
@@kimskains4163 Yes.
Agree!
Nailed it with your analogy!! Cracked me up.
Thank you. Very helpful. My pump was not powerful when switched to filter. After backwashing by removing the cap, it worked.
Excellent!
TY so much for this video. We got one of these filters for a great deal used and I was worried because it wasn't flowing very well. Now, after 4 backwash and rinse cycles with the drain part open it flows really well and the brown water is gone !!!!! Ty so much.
Glad I could help!
What does the N setting mean?
It's the neutral setting, for long term storage/winter storage. Allows the water to flow freely through the system so it can drain or freeze and expand.
What does the "N" mean?
The N is neutral, and it is used for long term storage/winterization. It keeps the lines open so the water can flow freely. So if you live in a climate where it freezes it will let the water move and help prevent damaging the filter.
@@GuidingBoltGaming when the system is on and it's in neutral what is happening.
@@johndoe3981 It's not meant to be operated in neutral. I'm not sure what would happen if you did. That being said I've seen at least one person comment that theirs only ran in the neutral setting.
@@GuidingBoltGaming I thought it was "N" for wiNter.
@@allthings2allmen Ain't that the truth! haha
very well explained, thank you for making it! It brings the manual all together.
Hey Ann - You're welcome, and thanks for dropping in!
What an awesome video! It's taken me forever to figure out the filter options. Thank you so much. This blows away the manual instructions.
Glad it helped!
Never stick a chlorine tab in that basket that’s a good way to corrode the inside of the pump fast
Where do you put the chlorine then?
Pool floater or do saltwater chlorine making machine
Awesome. Concise and under 5 minutes. Perfect youtube instructional. Thanks!
Thanks, Sunny! Appreciate your kind words, thanks for stopping by!
@@GuidingBoltGaming I have the same set up you have we're having problem with losing pressure after about 1 hour. I've changed sand cleaned out everything still loses pressure. I put it on recirculate it runs fine.
Filter --> For normal filtration and regular vacumming of the pool
Waste or drain --> For vacuuming directly to waste, lowering pool water level or to drain the pool
Closed --> Prevents all flow of water from entering the filter media and pool
Backwash --> Reverses water flow to clean the filter media
Recirculate --> For circulating water back to the pool without going through the filter media
Rinse --> For intial startup cleaning of the sand and leveling the sand bed after backwashing
thank you sooo much! Our pump had weak output and this absolutely fixed the problem!!
Great to hear! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
Wow wasn't looking for this info but sure am glad i took the few minutes to watch it. Straight to the point and very detailed. Thank you.
Thanks, Cathy! Glad you found it useful and we appreciate the nice comment. Have a great summer!
Thank you so much for explaining this. The manual for my father in law's pump has been lost. Thanks for helping us understand this
You are very welcome!
This video was perfect. Thank you for taking the time to do it. Very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
Directly to the point, and what I wanted to know. Thank you for a simple video without some CZcams tard begging for likes and subscribers.
First-time pool owner here and what you did was inform the beginner precise and to the point facts. Easy to follow and it's just what I needed to get started. Now, if you can just run for public office to make the current idiots understand, you would win in the largest landslide in history. Thanks again.
You're welcome! I've joked about running for office before, maybe my time is coming! Nick 2024...
