3kwh Delta Pro battery/inverter is 3k USD each. 40 of them with 120kwh capacity that Cybertruck has would be $120k. basically you are paying for the batteries and the truck comes with it for free.
Not sure why so much whine about 'rust'. Maybe it's a Michigan thing, but EVERY vehicle I've ever had, used or brand new, had rail dust show up on it commonly. That's why people detail their car. It comes off with detailing. I'd expect more car guys/gals to know this, but I guess it's true, the car scene really is dying.
The problem is because the rail dust that rust create small pockets of corrision in the stainless steel which will lead to future rusting of the chromium within the stainless. Just watch how these cybertruck will look like in a year. They will require constant buffering to keep them looking decent, which will wear out the stainless overtime. I wouldn't be surprise if after a year or two, most cybertruck will be wrap because the stainless is in bad shape.
Because the whiners and the reporters are clueless. Tesla already explained what this is and you can simply wipe it off
this was debunked, it was the rail dust that was rusting... you could literally wipe it off. Im guessing that this was a one-off problem during transport, and would probably never happen again

Nice review of Tesla Cybertruck
Good review.... Just a couple of things:
1. Should note that ALL trucks (gas and electric) loose substantial range when towing vs. unfortunately, unintentionally, making is seem as though this is a Cybertruck thing. And you mentioned just towing in general vs very heavy loads.
2. The seats are know by Tesla owners and third party engineers to be industry leading. Comfort level regularly commented to be best in class. (I am on my 4th Tesla). I think "upping their game" includes making super comfortable and supportive seats as you eluded to.
3. Worth mentioning you Tesla put the additional triangle glass by the A-pillars which many note are very helpful/useful.
4. You said the camera showing the rear view doesn't really work at all, yet you showed it working. I does in fact work perfectly as intended and stays just as much in your line of site as the traditional rear view mirror which does serve other functions such as viewing behind you in the car as well as large cargo you are carrying with the vault open. IF it was ONLY on the rearview mirror (as other manufacturers have), you would not be able to view both directly behind you and the rear view at the same time (not good at all). Tesla clearly thought of this.
No review is perfect, but you did will. Hope you don't mind what I believe is some constructive and accurate criticism. Thanks.

It's basically like the DeLorean when that came out. It was cool for like the first time you see it then after a year or two, the novelty runs out and people realize it's ugly and the sales of the vehicle sinks and the car gets discontinue. A short lived experiment.

I don't have plans on buying one, but did stop by the Tesla showroom at Westfield Century City on Saturday. The sales associate told me there's a three-year wait. Too long most people.

Rear camera as a mirror is on the main display as an option.
I wish it had better range as I want to use for camping and towing in rural areas.
Make sure to avoid snowy areas. Not only will the battery could die on you, but trying to get back in would be a challenge when the ice builds up around the stainless doors and sealing it in tight. You have no handles to yank it open and the button open the door will have a hard time operating. And if you were out in the middle of the no where, good luck. You probably won't survive freezing temperature if rescue don't know you're out there.
@@walden6272The Cybertruck has push thing that can break through ice so it should be no issue. Also just as you wouldn't drive out to nowhere with low gas, you shouldn't drive out to nowhere with low charge.

"Steer by wire" doesn't sound terribly safe.
The CyberTruck does 0-60 in 2.6s. The $10mn Bugatti Divo does that in 2.7s. Imagine a truck winning a luxury supercar.

0-60 shows how powerful a vehicle is. The higher the acceleration, the more powerful and manly. The reason why EVs on average have lower top-speeds than ICE-vehicles is that manufacturers choose to limit the car to a specific top-speed, to preserve battery-consumption. Mileage drops dramatically with ICE trucks when towing a trailer. Why should we be surprised with the reduced mileage on cybertruck?

Owners are seeing oxidation (rust) on their vehicles especially in the rust belt/midwest regions due to the car not actually having a clear coat or paint of any kind.

get this by far, this can also use super chargers on road trips etc, Hummer can't. also service centers will fix any issues faster than Hummer.

It's more like his script must be written by a three-year-old since a normal truck just needs to draw a rectangular square and a smaller rectangular square on top of it and some wheels at the bottom. The Cybertruck looks more like a Lamborghini than a normal truck design when you look at it.

Wrong , owners wiped off the rail dust and it was good as new as the truck was not rusting.
Raildust also contaminates the coat and paint of every other car especially white and silver. It can be taken off.

FALSE. it is not rusting you can remove it with metal polish. the rust you see is iron from the road splattered on the truck. The rust also comes from rail roads too.

Not the one they promise, all the specs were way off in real world testing. It claim to be bullet proof, someone actually shot a gun at it and went through the door. Range was suppose to be 350 miles, real world test shows it around 250 and if you are towing in cold weather, the range drops to 90. Cybertruck claim to be all terrain, it can't handle snow. Musk claim the stainless steel panels will be so exact to the micron but it has finger size panel gaps. Original price of Cybertruck was suppose to be $35K for base model. It's actually going to be 60k and up. With the current price at around 80k to 100k for the released model. So for $100k and all the specs are way off, you are not really getting a Cybertruck, you got con into a Cyberjunk.
