I have an Uncle named Steve Newman.
Who else here thought "affordable, how so?", and thought i'd be more expensive than it actually is?
This guy. Actually looks like it would be worth it to me.
Probably has a Bug out bag for every neighbor he has lmao
I just bought this pack and boy is it a keeper!!! Nice and heavy design, good zippers, lots of space for my equipment, and a lot of straps to keep everything secured!!!! Thank you Sensible prepper for the suggestion and for this video!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The pack review intro is some of my favorite content on this channel. Sootch is a hero
Oh and it really fits a lot of stuff into it. The bag comes out of the package very flat and puffs out a lot.
Thanks for featuring this type of gear, beginning preppers, and less financially capable folks (like myself at current) should be able to look to experts like you and be guided with your opinions. Thanks so much sooch
I'm bout to order one right now. You sold me on this one. 👍
Been looking for another BOB. Saw this one on Amazon. You just sold me on getting this one. It looks nice and will fulfill my needs. Thanks!
Thanks for the vid Sootch! Gonna pick a couple up for my wife and I in the next couple of days to start our edc/truck bags
Understanding job! You actually tested out a real affordable pack. And you are doing the the manufacturer a real solid promoting with a % 👍🏻 Don't need another backpack but after this review and the price ordering 2. You can never have enough go bags stashed! God Bless the United States of America 🙏
That is a lot of well put together bag and the straps on the bottom give a HUGE dimensional addition to capacity.
Nice packs there and the 'best bug out bag' is a bit like choosing the best knife - any bag / knife you have is the best if the other option the other option is having nothing.
However, the bags you show here really do demonstrate that you don't need to spend fortunes to get something which will carry a heavy load and last a long time.
I've got a smaller version of this bag design (from another manufacturer as I'm in the UK) and it has lasted me for years - it's now a dirty mess on the outside but all stitching and all zips are still as good as the day I bought it.
As far as being waterproof goes you could simply hand wash it with Nikwax cotton waterproofer and it will shed water no problem. (not sure that is available in US but you will have an alternative).
Great stuff.
Received this today. Quality is what stands out to me. For $36? Fantastic. Can’t wait to load it up and use it.
Sootch! Salesman of the year! Glad I came across this video I have a field excercise coming up and might get this pack, more money left over to by other gear!
I bought one, then I saw this review. So excited for it to come in tomorrow!
Very Cool Backpacks !!!!!! The price is right for what you get, is awesome. Thanks for showing these Backpacks Sootch00. As always long live the republic my friend !!!!!!!!
Lol, I have that SAS Survival book..great little thing. Edit:I love your little bloopers!
The SAS Survival Book is a must have. Thanks Mog-Gyver!
This is one great value especially with the 1 year warranty, gonna grab one of these you really can't go wrong under $40, nice.
Sootch, that looks like a good travel bag for over the road or airport travel. Thanks for the update.
Late I know, but I got one of these in and they cab hold WAY more than I thought. Awesome bag.
Nice bag at a great price! Lots of organized sections. Thanks for the review!
I️ ordered this backpack on Amazon after watching your video, can’t wait
The black one just came in the mail today. I already love it so much better than my second bugout pack.
For $37 ill spend a little time seam sealing and sealing the zippers. Thanks don.
GazB85 i use a product called “seam grip” to coat the seams and to seal up the fabric areas around the zippers. You can find a bunch of videos on how to use it, as it is also really popular to seal up tents.
I saw your last vid on the smaller "Roaring Fire" brand and found this larger one. I got it in plans to use it for a college pack. I got it a couple months in advance. One day I decided to try to get back into conventional fishing (I fly fish most if the time) and didn't want to swap out my fly gear out of my main pack. Well long story short, I needed to get a new pack for my books, lol. I've got plenty of space for my tackle boxes, soft plastic bags, the small compartment is useful for the small necessities, and the straps on the side is perfect for carrying an extra rod or two.
Love it brother Sootch! I may need to get a couple of these for my vehicles!
Definitely buying one of these backpacks. Great review. Also love you carried the Henry Pump 22 in the video. Bought that after your previous review too. Haha!
Great looking bag. Thanks for reviewing it!
Used one of these bags as an earthquake kit for my son. Holds all the things he needs in the event of an emergency.
Nice pack. I've been using the Condor Compact Assault Pack for years. its 18x10x10 inches, so just a bit smaller. But has the same pocket lay out. But I am in the market for a new small pack, so I might give this one a try. I use a small pack almost every day in the winter when I go out. I don't drive so need to carry odds and ends. Nice presentation. Short and too the point and well spoken.
I'll definitely be picking one of these up. I've been looking for a cheap pack to keep in my car as a get home bag.
Nice backpack!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I have the 30L one and it works great.
I bought another brand backpack from LAPolicegear a year ago after a video of yours and it has no signs of wear and was within budget. This company might be a second bag I purchase. The other higher cost brands are too expensive for me and just seem to be a buying the name item. Companies who make budget bags need guys like you to showcase them, and you have honest great reviews. God bless America🇺🇸
Thank you so much. My son just ordered his.
Thank you Don for this awesome video!
Lol I've been watching your video since before I had kids my daughter who's 3 years old says that man's got a lot of backpacks maybe he should get rid of some just made me laugh thought I'd share
That's funny! If she's knew the half of it! lol! Thanks Zack!
Good weekend to you and yours, Now to watch the video
Thanks Eric!! Hope you have a great weekend Brother
Sounds like a good budget/ starter bag. It's not always the price of the tool, it's knowing how to use it. They also sound like good bags to give to family members. I gave something like this to my daughter for her car filled with some basics. Buy one myself if I didn't already have too many bags, although Christmas is coming ! 😀
Thanks Ed. It's definitely a great option for a gift! My daughter has a go bag in her car. It's a must.
Nice pack, I like it. Fun hike w/a fun little 22, looks like a good time... 🤔 Now I need to get out & do that too.
I like so much your content! Since 2016 here bro.
Sootch, I love your playground. Nice backpack!
Thanks Bob! It makes it a lot easier! lol!
Got one of these just as the Corona-pocalypse was really heating up. Like it so far. Seems just as good as my Sandpiper of California Venture laptop pack that cost 3x as much.
I was fortunate enough to catch a soccer mom on Facebook selling some BulletSafe backpack panels her kids didn't need anymore, got 2 for $60. Now both my 'tactical' packs are IIIa rated body armor 😉
Great review! Gonna go with this pack.
It costs 12$ on aliexpress real model is called BL096 it’s a chinese brandless backpack.
Good review as always. God bless brother!
Great. Thank you!
Just got mine in the mail yesterday after UPS took a week longer to deliver it than it was supposed too LOL.
I got the tan version and have used it the last two days for grocery shopping and walked around in the rain in downtown Milwaukee for a couple hours today.
Nothing got wet and it felt o.k. with a little weight in it.
I am going to use it as my fishing backpack for walking the shoreline with a big flat box of musky lures and I can fit a few more flat boxes of other lures in it and my pliers, water, etc no problem.
I will put a couple of rectangular magazine pouches along the side to put the ends of my fishing rods into and fasten them with the side straps.
I mainly got this bag because it is long and tall so fishing rods will stay upright and straight instead of being angled to the middle like with a shorter pack.
My only concern is that the zippers aren't as heavy duty as I'm used to but for $40 for all this stuff added to the bag they did a decent job.
I won't use it everyday that is what I have my heavy duty expensive pack for but I should be able to get quite a few fishing seasons out of it and that is what I bought it for so I'm happy.
Except with UPS redelivering it to the wrong facility three times in a week LOL.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing Brother! Glad you're enjoying yours.
I just ordered one hope it holds up. It was 10% off so I had to give it a try.
Look at Highland Tactical packs, we just started to carry them at work and for the price they're very well made.
Good stuff as usual. Thanks
Thanks Kerry!
Hello my outdoors friend, thank you for sharing this very informative video. I will check them out. All the best to you and your family. 🤗
God damn it I just talked myself out of buying this last night since I havent seen it anywhere then you make a video on it.
@SensiblePrepper I just love your channel , So many great educational prepper & survival tools & ideas you share here it's awesome ! I like the funny blooper clips you leave in at the end - hope you make a big prepper blooper vid sometime ! Stay Awesome !! #PrepperLife
Thanks Dawn! I sincerely appreciate the comment. The better my neighbor's prepared the more I'm prepared. Have a great weekend!
Very nice! I have the Miltec 35L pack very good too for the price.
Nice video! Good tips!
Black one coming thank you
Thanks for the budget option! On amazon it says this is made of 900D oxford waterproof fabric. I think Cordura is a brand name.
thanks, well done
I’ve gotta get me one of these bags!!!! ❤️😍❤️😍❤️
Looks like a good backpack for a car survival kit.
Awesome video! I'm going to try to get my hands on one of these after doomsday (aka COVID) is over:) Keep up the great videos.
I usually buy alot 5.11 gear and some maxpedition when I can afford it. This pack looks alot ike the falcon, from maxpedition but beefier. The price difference here is huge. The quality is not that very far off. Yes you hsve YKK zippers on the others ans some more extra stiching, but yes come on guys, pls 5.11 and maxpedition take note, especially maxpedition. They are way overpriced and they are all made overseas. Me wonders how much price difference do the other packs cost in material to make a better pack then this. Thanks Sootch for bringing this up. Long live the republic.
More budget reviews! ❤️
Nice backpack! I've been using a big sling pack made with similar looking material. Very sturdy. It's troublesome to have to dump it all out to get to the bottom, but pretty incognito. I'll try this pack, the price is good and I like that it opens completely. I've purchased several packs and gave them away, so what's one more? Ha ha, having no hard frame looks good to me!
I'm glad you're doing budget friendlier reviews because the stuff that you review is awesome but way out of my budget but I'm glad that you're doing this now thank you very much God bless you
Seems well,build
Very similar to the Varusteleka Sarma "Large Assault Pack" (35L) I just got. They're based on the Mil-Tec backpacks, modified to fit Varusteleka's design but made by the same company (Chinese, unfortunately).
The Sarma's large front pouch doesn't have the pen holders, etc, or the velcro area under the backpad, but otherwise almost identical-- same zippers and pulls, fabric, inner coating, etc.
Seem like some really good packs for not much money.
I like the double aught
Hey, Sootch!
It would’ve been nice to see you shoot that Henry to some hog or deer steel plates!
Air Assault! 🌴🇵🇷
Zippered mesh pockets on the inside of the flaps should be standard on ALL backpacks. They're so damn useful for small stuff and smart use of space.
I love those tac style packs, but I am larger than most and I find myself having to extend the straps. I've decided not to even think about buying another unless I can find one that will fit me. Thanks for the review.
For hiding, the desert color is easier to hide.
The black makes a black spot moving.
The lighter color is harder to see when moving in the woods or the city.
Looks just like the voodoo tactical one.
The only issue I see with these as a BOB option is the same as the Condor 3-Day pack I used to have as my BOB; it expands outward, instead of upward like a stereotypical hiking bag. The weight expanding away from your body that far puts a lot of stress on the shoulders, even with a good waist strap.
But, in a financial pinch, this definitely could work. Looks like a good bag. Maybe a small one would make a solid Get-Home/vehicle bag
I'm not in the market for a bag like this, because the Maxpedition bags I purchased 5 years ago still hold up today. However, this would be a great start for someone on a tight budget, and it looks like it'd hold up reasonably well.
Nice! Not sure if it could hold enough for a long-term BOB, but it looks just right for a GHB in the Vehicle. And if you put in Budget but Good Enough Equipment, you won't be as Angry if some Scumbag breaks in and steals it. Unless that's all you have, of course. Thanks Sootch!
Well done sir, think I've maxed out my medium ALICE pack. 🤔
Just for future reference you should show the outside of the darker bag and the inside of the lighter bag it just makes it a little bit easier to see
Compre hace como un mes una que es exactamente igual a esa pero en MercadoLibre y si son muy buenas
You've some beautiful country
These are over $100 on amazon Canada. Don't turn a blind eye to budget bags though. Best bag I have is one I got on Amazon for 50 bucks. It's taken a bigger beating than most of my other bags and it's still going strong after 6 years of heavy use.
Dangit... I really dont need another pack but I'm really interested in this one because of the strapping on the bottom.. and the price of course.
I'd love to know who made that beautiful custom sheath
Liked and commented for algorithm.
That's a good deal
No..it's not cordura!!! It's a 900 Oxford...which is ok but not near cordura quality.
Think I'm sold
Great Neil Young intro..
Thanks Brother! I love the Neil Young vibe.... he's one of my favorites.
@@SensiblePrepper You too brother..
Would you say worse-same-better than the condor 3 day pack?
They look like decent packs but are the zipper pulls able to be locked?
*pulls out camping hammock*
me:
ah, I see you are a man of culture as well.
Sootch, What watch are you wearing?
Who makes that sheath for the esee 6?
I still think 3V Gear is one of the best budget friendly companies on the market. I have had them for 4-5 years with different packs and haven’t had any problems. Another great company is Reebow and they make budget friendly packs for a great price. Check out survival outpost. He just did a review on one of there packs and a giveaway with there different packs.
I'm curious as to the empty weight of the pack? Thanks.
Do you have any info on that sheath?
Nice budget pack.Is it American made?
What is that med kit called in the big front pouch?
Can just back packing travel with my credit card?🕧😁
