Love the review. I bought one a couple months ago after blowing the zippers out on a couple inferior backpacks. I use mine to carry rain gear, headlamps, phone charger and cables and various other gear for work. I work line maintenance on cargo aircraft so I'm constantly unzipping pockets and digging into the backpack. It has held up well even though I have it stuffed full.
Love the scenery and sunset!
i’ve had the same 2 LAPG bag for about 8 years, got them for free during a promotion, one i use for hiking and the other for travel, and they’re still in great shape.
Looks very much like a 511 rush 24 especially on the interior. Maybe 511 made it for them. I've had my 511 rush 24 and 72 for 10 years with no issues.
Looks pretty sweet . The " Clydesdale piss " , not so much . Be safe out there folks . .. gubs
That pack resembles my EDC 5.11 Rush 24 pack, but much more affordable. And if its "Grunt Proof", then it is definitely good to go!
Nice pack. I use a Rush 72, I don't always fill it up but with the exterior side pockets built in I can carry a Grayl and water bottle without having to add pouches and I can use the belt when the going gets tough.
I have an older gen version of this bag. It’s held up pretty well for the 4+ years I’ve had it. It has the zipper pulls with plastic ends and one of them has come apart. I’m going to replace them so no further problems will happen. Great bag if you catch it on sale.
brother !! what a beautiful piece of country you live and work in ,,,, sydney dave
Great review Randall, the Ruck is functional and versatile, quick go babe for short day hikes or overnight’s 👍 thank you for sharing ✌️🇺🇸
Evening bro, great sunset 💪 rucksack looks great. Thanks for sharing buddy tc Andy
I have the 72 hour version of this bag and it is awesome!
Great looking sunset. Nice bag. I'll stick to my medium Alice pack. I run the Tactical Taylor enhanced shoulder straps and kidney pad on it.
I think it would probably take a act of GOD for me to give it up. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Looks like a solid bag. LAPG sells some nice gear. I have three pairs of their Atlas pants, which have taken three years of abuse in the woods and haven't failed. Solid value without the price tag and labeling of pants with Scandinavian names I can't pronounce. That said, their customer service is literally non-existent. No response to emails. Can't get a live human on the phone, and recorded menu options consist of how to buy and how to return items. I've even tried to contact them via Twitter...no go...but they don't seem to have a problem posting there to get you to buy stuff. I'm looking for a smaller bag like this, but until LAPG gets their act together, they're not getting any more of my hard-earned $$$,
And yeah, Bud Light sucks.
good point
I have a previous version of this pack that I bought on clearance when this new one became available. It has held up well.
Good looking set up for sure. Worth serious consideration. I still love my FILBE Assault Pack. This pack does seem to take it to the next level though. Cheers. How about a cold Mexican beer like Modelo or Carta Blanca? In a bottle. In the mountain desert.
This comment has way more value, a year later.
Tha k you for the great review as always.
Great video bud keep em coming 👍. Hope the family's doing great too. Stay safe and be well brother. Strength and Honor... 👊 🤙 🍻

MOUNTAIN DEW! Haha 😄

Umm ... It's not really laser cut MOLLE (MOdular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment), it's laser cut PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System). MOLLE is a specific set of packs from a couple of decades ago (since removed from issue and replaced) whereas PALS is the webbing that allows you to customize the packs by adding other carrying options.
thanks for the clarification
Looks like a straight bag
Point and bang, pure fun :D soundeffects are amazing
Your a lucky man 🇺🇸✌️thanks for sharing 🌎
Looks like a lighter version of the 511 RUSH 12.
@GruntProof if you had to pick one assault to use at NTC to carry an ASIP Radio, camelback, and sustainment items for 3 day patrols. Which one would you use?
Either the Medium MOLLE or the FPG Marpak, becausw it has an integrated sleep mat
Nice review. The powers of suggestion, I could tast and smell dust all through the video. Great effects.
thanks!
I have a molle medium ruck. You can get them for 60$ can't beat it
Where are you finding them for 60 bucks? I've found the pack alone for about that price, but with the frame, belt, and straps it's almost $200. I'd love to have one but it's hard to justify at that price.
I respect your opinion but I had a different result. I bought the 3 day 2.0 from LA. I'm like you I do not count ounces so a light average load out for me is around 30lbs. 3 miles in my shoulders were screaming. At 6 miles I was leaning forward just to ease the pain. At 8 miles I took it off and shoulder slung it. No padding in the shoulder straps, 1/4" back pad with no frame makes it a big no go. Any of my Alice, ILBE, Molle2, or Mystery Ranch at 30 lbs you barely feel it. It is a beautiful ruck. It is well made, but it has the ergonomics of a 30" push lawnmower strapped to your back. Great content though....cold steel
it has a design that's not for everyone. I did a couple long hikes and was good
Are you using the 1 or 2 person Litefighter tent for testing?

Informative and beneficial video
Looks like a decent day + pack . I will check it out but it may not serve my 3or4 day hunt load out . Great review and it has passed the test . Thanks Randle
they have 12, 24, and 72 hour bag all are similar. They are a rip off of 5.11 Rush series. But they are good to go at half the price.
@@theriddleballcoach awesome. Thanks for the heads up. I try to set up a spike camp as much as possible but will always rely on what I carry. Getting a little older but smarter, I try not to hunt further than I’m willing to pack out with multiple trips.🤣
Great video
Bud light may suck but if that's all you got and it's cold and wet you're squared away haha
yup!
Nice video Randall, as always! Get some Yuengling bro, bud light is crap.
What kind of bottle bag did you have attached to the LA police rucksack? Great video.
thanks. Just a generic nalgene bottle molle pouch
Hey you were saying bud light sucks before it was cool!! Haha 1:00
Gear ,quad mountains and Bud light does life get better
Well I'm just thinking out loud here I love the sunset and the view of the mountains and hills and the beer but one thing was missing? a woman that doesn't talk too much. 😉
You just couldn't hear her 😅😅
Thanks for this video. Your experience with the 12 Hour pack seems on par with mine and the 72 Hour.
I purchased a couple LAPG Atlas 72 Hour packs last year. I do have a few complaints thus far...
1) The advertised capacity of 74 L is... optimistic.
2) The advertised unloaded weight of 5.7 lbs. seems low. With the included internal backplate in place, my scale showed more like 7 lbs.
3) The large molle panel on the bottom of the pack (which I had hoped to attach a trauma kit to) can only handle very light items/pouches before the "flap" pulls open and down no matter what I do with the strapping system.
Now, everything else is pretty good. For starters, it has held up well on our outings. As you noted, the zippers are just straight up good to go. The actual strength of the laser-cut molle has also held up. For what it is, and the price you pay, I won't complain overall.
Interesting. I was looking at that one but I have enough large rucks
Nice peace of gear
My god 511 rush with a few light changes
🙏🏼
Bud light sux's, I like Moose Head beer, give it a try.
I have a three of these - beat the hell out of them and nothing has ever failed on them. Modified one by removing a lot of the internal compartments so I could have just a open one, suits my purposes perfectly. For the price, you can't beat them. Thanks for the video, appreciate what you do.
Bud light does suck 😂
Is this the brown or coyote color?
Coyote
How's it holding?😮
Outstanding. Been my favorite day pack ever since
@@GruntProof Stitching and zippers good?
(guuuiiiihhh) bud light sucks 🤣 sweet pack bubs
