I've had one for almost a year and I love it! The side pocket holds my grayl water filter just fine. Great day bag or EDC. Well worth the money!

If you don't have one yet, add a liquid bandage to the first aid kit. Those annoying "paper cuts" in your hands can be covered up before you start cleaning a fish or other meats.
Rough hands are the name of the game in the great outdoors, and micro cuts are a reality, but you can stop any potential sickness by just adding a bit of liquid bandage and letting it dry before starting. You can still put a regular bandage on top, but that will cover the wound and make it impenetrable.

I always got two knifes on me I only use certain ones for certain things haha. great video brother, my Oakley backpack is pure black didn't think I'd like it but man I love. it it's like a 1 to 2 day bag maybe 3 day but 3 it would be Maxed. it's not very big but man is it comfortable and tight! Also I always carry a umbrella one that folds down small for sun or rain. iv made a few friends happy, that weren't prepared for crappy, weather but became happy campers lol. so Lil umbrella always in my backpacking kit 8).

Hi James, first off I just wanted you to know that I really enjoy watching your video channel and alot of the contents that you put out. I really like the slingshot pack and would agree with you on the side zipper pouch should be bigger to fit a canteen or a 32 Oz. Steel container. I'm an ex-Army Ranger/instructor and ex-police officer and I follow and practice bushcrafting. I like the way you packed your load out for your hiking adventures and I myself would add a few extra things ( cordage, tent pegs, tea and honey) but I get it and everyone has their preferences. I pray and wish you and Cuervo well in all your endeavors and you guys keep up the great work in the outdoors. Now, go outside and get your boots dirty. (Love that).

I have this pack for my EDC. I'm fairly hard on it. I had gotten a cheaper one on Amazon and its ok. The sling tore off at the bottom within 2 weeks. On the roaring fire it lasted about 3. Roaring fire if u read this ...the sewing where the strap meets the bag is the most important part. That being said i drilled a hole in the strap and sling and use a caribener now and it's perfect. The hole in the strap isnt getting any larger. Strap is legit. Just where it attached was weak.Going strong 8 months now and not showing hardly any wear. I love it. So many great features. Looks awesome too.

I carry the 5.11 Moab 6. Had it for about 4 years now- daily/hard usage. Still going strong. My only issue has been with the velcro on the "concealed carry" pocket is well... very worn. Highly recommended and worth every penny. My suggestion to your pack is to get one of the newer MOLLE canteen covers, the Alice one's flop around too much connected like you have and is evident in your video.

I call the straps on the inside of the front pocket elastic webbing straps and the webbing on the outside is called PALS webbing. MOLLE is the name of the whole system and MOLLE straps are what's on the back of pouches you add to the PALS webbing.

If I may give one recommendation, don’t keep your iPhone cord plugged into its base. Damage could occur if too much pressure gets put into the cord/base connection.

I like the bag and I agree with the size of the zippered pouch it could be made larger but to do so they will have to make it deeper in the main compartment going from front to back also on the sides to carry water bottles I would add more Mollie webbing also I like the front bundgy cord for carrying gloves but it would be nice to also add some tie outside on the bottom for things like a lite jacket or other things. Let me know what you think please.

That is an impressive sling pack. Tough, well thought out, handsome. When going into the desert, here in northern Utah, I always carry a minimum of a gallon of water if staying out for anything approaching 6 hours. I'd like to hear you emphasize the importance of water in the serious desert 🏜, journeying for even a day; Also, could you show us your double strap backpack sometime? I assume you have one for overnighters. Targot has a military green one I bought recently, on line, (see latest video for color, in, No Excuses), made by Sierra Designs, of high quality polyester. $40, 40 liters. A real, real, bargone. Good video James.

I’d recommend getting at least one C.A.T tourniquet and a 6” Israeli bandage, 1 combat gauze (anything impregnated with a hemostatic agent really) , and some 5x9 dressings just the basics for your IFAK. Oh and a couple pairs of black nitrile gloves for PPE.

I have a Jumbo Versi pack which is a bag that hangs off your shoulder down on your side
This really to my surprise just pulls on my shoulder , go figure, a great bag but just can’t take that pressure on my shoulder
Does this sling pack ride in the same way?
I do realize it rides on your back but it still hangs off one shoulder
    Thanks

I always hated sling packs, never fit me right no matter how much I tried 🤷🏼‍♂️
    My kids got little sling packs from Nintendo to keep their Pokémon stuff in and wouldn’t you know it…these things are great for EDC;
I can fit wallet, phone, keys, firearm, first aid, a blade and some snacks without it being sloppy or moving around while interacting with the world on a daily basis.
I bought three generic versions of the same size packs, all fitted for the Nintendo Switch, and I think I’m a firm believer now. Very comfortable and grey-man capable…no one bats an eye or give them a second look. I can wear them on my chest for quick access and they’re small enough that I can wear a jacket on top in inclement weather.
Yeah they’re not exactly a comparison to the bag you demonstrate here but - for CCW holders wanting a alternative to stuffing everything in your pants/shorts pockets and/or your waist, this has much more room than a fanny pack while still being very compact and “invisible” so…if you can get away with not carrying water check them out.

Not a sling pack kinda guy I do own the 511 sling pack for a lightweight get home bag in the trunk. I prefer two straps along with a waist strap and chest Strap because I’m a small disabled guy and need the best fit I can get. When I 1st saw this bag I thought it might be The new pathfinder bag which lost all my points I earned over yrs and 20/30 items purchased can’t even get into my profile just completely sucker punched me cause I’m not rich besides bills food etc the rest goes to camping hunting and hiking and I just can’t afford to lose money at the pathfinder survival store sad cause I lived Dave and spent $20 to join a raffle to help him build his house back and no I didn’t win the raffle he’s a lucky man when people will help him in big numbers with big cash but when it comes to his longtime customer and fans it seems especially during Christmas when I just wanted to get a small gift for the large holly jolly socks over the fire and now it definitely to late and will have to go to a local camping/Archery store nearby. For a sling bag I definitely like yours more than my 611 mostly because of the colors and great gear pics doe a smaller bag.

Welcome to the reality of running a business. This is December so it makes sense to focus on reviews and sales to help fund an upcoming deer hunt. Just a month ago I filmed a video on 3 winter desert fruits, filmed a camping overnighter/camp cooking, and many more. Funny thing is I never once saw you comment on those videos, you probably never even watched them. you’re just here to bitch without even bothering to look for content you’d like better, quit crying and just go elsewhere, I can care less.
