Your place is beautiful! Where we currently live is lake country so our internet is fine till the tourists come out. Our new homestead is bare bones in the bush nothing. We have starlink on order and very excited for it. We have to go to town to make a call or do anything! Congratulations on the 1000 subs!

@@ASimpleLifewithChrisTara I came back to watch this in it's entirety and your property is so nice!! We are setting our sites on Missouri to move to! We live in NM and we just moved into my husbands childhood home so we could put our house in the city up for sale. When we get it sold, we will be searching for something just like what you guys found! My in laws are coming with us, so yeah, it's perfect. Let us know what internet you guys wind up liking please. We are rural now and we went with Tmobile and it seems to be doing pretty well so far. Anyway, excited to follow you guys on your journey and watch yall get your gardens set up. When we are finished getting our house ready to sell, setting up gardening beds is our next chore and I can't wait!!

How exciting for you all to be moving! I wish you well in the selling of your home and moving. Tmobile Home internet is who we have now. Not doing well for us. We are thinking of trying Nomad. It is just a more costly internet.....but you do have 14 days to try or complete refund. So, we shall see. With trees filling out now our signal is worst and with our phones as well.

Great video, and so very glad that you all are back up and videoing again! Hopefully, you will get that other 10 acres that you said that you are trying to get. Maybe you should try Nomand Internet. We have Windstream, and the way they are raising prices, it is getting high again, so we will be trying the Nomand people very soon. Again, it is great to see you both, and I cannot wait to find out what is in the shop!!! Lots to look forward to!

You have lots of cleared land! We have 5 acres as well but ours is mostly old growth forest.
We are retiring to The Ole Church 5 Acre Homestead in about 2 years....getting it ready these days!

Just bought 5 acres in the ozarks. Do you have any suggestions for tick prevention? I have never seen so many ticks in my life. Both my dogs are indoor dogs and prefer ticks to stay outside. Thanks
Ticks are awful Here. What really helps are guineas. They are good at eating the ticks. We used to have some where we used to live. Need to get some more. Hate when we let dogs in and find ticks crawling on them. Good luck to you and your new place. Thanks for watching.

How did you actually do the move? I'm in a similar situation and am considering container moving methods ( like Pods) etc. 25+ year house to move, and garage, shed attic - full of ...things. any advice appreciated.
Lots and lots of trips on our own. Hired someone with a dump trailer to put our trash/stuff no longer any good to take to the dump. Then we used a local movers to move all our LARGE HEAVY items. Never want to move again lol. Wish you much luck.
@@ASimpleLifewithChrisTara Thank You. It's quite daunting. For me it's a move of over 1100 miles ( North-East to Missouri). It's difficult to realize that some things we hold of sentimental value, a grandparents piece of furniture etc. - may not be of sentimental value to our own children - although to throw them away remains difficult. It's a necessary move but also a difficult one. I guess you know - you've done the hard part. thanks.
Ohhh gosh...yes the distance makes yours much harder. Kids though as years go on decide...hey I would like that. Sure wish I could be better help for you. I wish you well on your move.
I live in Boone county what kind of advice would you give me to find a homestead a piece of land just like you guys ?
Start looking at land for sale online, take drives to see for sale by owner. Ask around on social media, etc.
