I do not own any of the footage I use, I create rugby tribute videos for the purpose of entertainment and promotion of the sports or players I am doing videos on. I am not copy and pasting any footage, I am creating edits under the grounds of fair use. - Sport
It's actually scarier to see knees bending the wrong way and to actually see them getting destroyed than ppl getting knocked over.
I cant stop having goosebumps for the Dupont save tackle
it was crazy, absolutely amazing defence, but I think number 16 might even be better (Edwill van der Merwe), not the best angle of it in this video, but it is a similar situation, but an even harder position to stop the attacker from...who is almost above the try line...but he somehow manages to stop him, pull him back, and into touch...from behind him...insane defence!
@@aldobonaso3481 van der merwe is a freaking beast, kinda Penaud's style
@@algamor7709 ah yes you are right, very similar styles! I love watching the way Penaud glides into space, it's beautiful to watch!
Number 27, thats a proper rugby player. Even when injured he dashes to his teams aid and possibly saved them losing a try 👏👏👏
And the prize for the 'Best Technical Tackler' who delivers every time goes to Courtney Lawes.
Absolutely agree
Coming from football I have to say you gotta love rubgy :)
Refreshingly, quite a few legal tackles here!
If any one of those tackles hit a soccer player, they’d be rolling about for a fortnight! 😂😂😂
*FootBall 😂
It's football, soccer as the mentally retarded call it.
Second, if you put a rugby player in a ring against a boxer, he will probably end up in intensive care.
"Football is played by 11 men, pretending to be injured. Rugby is played by 15 men pretending not to be injured."
I played both soccer and rugby and to be honest some soccer players are really strong, especially the ones who are playing Centre backs.
Both are the goats
Outstanding video, enjoyed every frame of it🥵😤
You have to pay tribute to the players who get smashed & never let go of the ball 👌 Total Commitment 😮
They should just learn how to tackle. Because it's a contact sport. Like they say a man can't run without his legs.
Christian Cullen took some blinding hits and was never quite the same after.. wonder why. But like Ben Smith and his concussion issues. Both of them were possible the best All Black fullbacks of their time too
Nothing horrific about the tackle on Hogg, an excellent try saver. As for some of the others, there's a pile of red cards out there, leading with the elbow/shoulder, no attempt to wrap the arms & late tackles. I wonder how many penalties were given out in the aftermath of some of these "tackles".
And in the current dementia crisis, should we really be celebrating illegal hits that get red carded?
12 - the rag doll toss was my favourite
Many of these tackles are perfectly legal, but some are just A&E visits waiting to happen. When i was young, we were taught to tackle from the side and players were expected to run AROUND defenders, not through them. Nowadays, huge players run directly into each other and the commentators go crazy with excitement when someone is smashed, probably leading to long-term concussions. Its not surprising brain injuries are occurring, is it?
There’s a lot of League in the clip. Just make a SuperLeague/NRL clip. Also one for AFL
Why am I not surprised to see a few vs Fiji in here? 😂
Anyway, quite a few of these are barges and ball runners knocking defenders, not tackles.
Great editing.
27 was my favorite guy was literally getting treated for a head injury had blood coming out of him saw the guy charging forward gets up runs back into play and levels him with an incredible tackle
Nothing but normal RUGBY
Damn #5 - what a tackle
Good healthy hits.
One huge hit left out here is Derick Hougaard getting crushed by Brian Lima of Samoa at the Australian World Cup… 2003 I think it was.
Ohhhh the pain!!
Basically 50 SANZAR sides putting mainly illeagal hits on other teams.
Lmfao. It's like watching little ballerinas play tag. How cute.
Fun fact number 5 is the hardest spear in history of the world
#2, #36, if the tackler hit the ball carrier in the head with their arm, elbow in that position, they'd be red carded in a nanosecond but time and time again you see the ball carrier deliberately hit the head of the tackler, and nothing happens.
I've seen #2 in other videos and that guy (the ball-carrier) copped a straight red for elbow to the head of the would-be tackler. Not sure about #36 though - that was Faf de Klerk so he prob got away with it 🙄
That's a flying arm
‘At the point of contact, the hand MUST be in front of the shoulder’.
A simple rule that would solve many problems.
Yup also forbid diving, jumping, side stepping and call it touch rugby
Would be better without the annoying music.
Agreed👍🏻
and they got up and got on with the game whereas a footballer would have rolled around the ground as if they had been shot by a sniper
oh, what a dramatic match
No list is legit without Brian Lima on Derick Hougaard.
A lot of these KO moments were done with a forearm to the face.
Where’s Will Greenwoods tackle on Matt Rogers??
There are killers and not players on the ground. Something does not work in their head.
loads of high tackles
You telling me that you dont have any Brian Lima hits or the Jerry collins on Charvis hit?🤦
Didn’t they nickname Lima the chiropractor? Any hit by Jerry Collins was a massive impact!! Where are the Jerome Kaino smashes?
Unfortunately these days, most of those tackles would of resulted in a red card 😢
Eish
0:30 was a WWE move lol
How has that winger put a big hitter like that in
That tacke on mampimpi had no arms in it
Horrific? that's what we do every death cage Wednesday and game day Saturdays
Only 1 from Courtney Lawes, and none from Wilko.
never lead with your head.
And footballers cry like a little girl at the slightest tap.
Go down like a sack of spuds and roll around the pitch for half an hour until the magic spray can or water sponge comes out.
Rugby is certainly a proper man's game.
Oucchhhh😢😢😢
This tends to demonstrate the different attitude which prevails in the southern hemisphere, where most of these tackles occurred. Many of these tackles were very dangerous. We didn’t get to see the referees’ decisions but, the worse the tackles got, the more the commentators seem to,enjoy them.
Play with the islanders and you learn to take the hits or you go play soccer.
This is what’s known as a fatuous remark.
These days the majority of these tackles would result in a red card.
I actually don’t believe my club made a die hard rugby video 😂
That's why you go for the legs. Not the upper body. These professionals don't know how to hit🤣🤣🤣👍
Especially these days when you get carded for any little head contact
They've forget more about how to tackle then you'd ever know 😂
6 or 8 might have even been legal.
Being generous...
Most of these are legal
In my opinion, the biggest collision I have ever seen in word rugby is not even in this video.
Danie Russouw and Brian O'Driscoll colliding 2009.
you mean the offsides high tackle? Or was it a head clash? I forget.
I will be a spectator.
number 12 was funny
Have to laugh when I see bok fans complain about Farrel hit on the safa with no wrap, yet am on Daly is almost identical
the difference is Farrel didn't get penalized daly did, basically if boks break the rules they get penalized if as you say and identical foul by England takes place England doesnt get penalized
If SA don't get everything going their way it's the refs fault 😂
@@Trajan2401 lol too true!
@@Ghoulza am didn't get pinged for that tackle did he?
Some decent hits and tackles, yes. Anything particularly terrifying, no.
Where is French Chabal vs All Blacks ?
#12 ??? 🤷🏼♂️ Hit ??? Where is the hit....???
Most of the tackles are to high
A lot of these hits are illegal under today's rules and rightly so
Most are just good tackles would not say horrific as titled
when i think of horrific i was expecting to see broken necks/arm/leg open fractures 🤣🤣🤣
The women wouldnt last 5 minutes in this world.
There is better quality footage and newer if you look at league as well as union. This is just good tackling, 90% of it and not horrific; its the game being played well.
#12 is league, an Australian state of origin match.
@@iffracem thought it was. But there are loads of SL and NRL tackles that deserve to be there more than some of them.
why the annoying background music? Unnecessary
This is the baddest sport on the planet. Aussie's need to shut up about League because that's what we call 'tiddly winks' rugby.
The amount of shoulders broke here
I'd rather get in the ring with Mike Tyson
Fantastic,,some edgy ones,,but on the whole,brilliant..noticed how most of the guys just shrug it off..not like soft footballers,,proper stuff this…rugby is the greatest game,,just saying😂😂
Mapimpi that worthless quota got wrecked 😂😂
Some don't even know their children exist🤷🏼♂️
Use condoms and it will never happen
most of them are just weak, this is typical in american football many times a match, yall dont have good atheletes
Under the new snowflake rules all these tackles would be considered "dangerous" and be given a Red Card!!
This is just rugby and some league nothing horrific about it
