Great video otherwise.
Its because all zeros in the game can handle about 85mph more they could in real life. Gaijen has buffed them. A zero will have bad stiffening even at its top speed in a straight line. Also you pulled 10g's at one point in that match. I don't think i need to go into that one. Another fun fact the zero could only recover from a dive in one direction.
@@brandonstrife9738 A Zero would suffer stiffening at 180 mph. No where near it’s top speed.
@@LILKRANKIN Thats true but it wasn't unmanage able till 250 to 270 depending on alt.
@@LILKRANKIN Still doesn't explain why can you pull 15 to 17 g's in air rb. Its accleration is way better than it should be. I can go on and on and i've already brought this up with evidence to gaijen and they told me its a balance issue.
As a Japanese the reason I started this game was seeing an a6m at the yuushuukan at Yasukuni shrine. As an adult with a job I can finally get premium and have been able to take this beast out. Maybe it's because it was designed by people who think and operate machinery like I do but no other fighters feel quite so natural to play as the Zero. Wonderful plane and great review. Sort of wish we could get an update on some older videos like the ki-43 as it's another personal favorite but great work as always.

I know they aren't "competitive" but I just love flying Zero and they are some of the planes I have the highest K/D ratios in.
How are they not competitive? In fact they are so competitive that most people in war thunder avoid them at all cost.
@@simmonphoenix3206 Lots of people say they're too slow in a straight line or their dive performance is too poor, specially for late Zero variants.
In my expirience this can be easily countered by climbing and staying at a decent attitude throught the match, given you room for evasive maneuvers and diving on enemy aircraft. IMO the A6M5 Ko through Hei are actually energy fighters and play similarly to a slower Spitfire. You can get into trouble against skilled enemies, particularly if the work together, but your avarage enemy players don't have the accurancy or discipline to properly exploit the Zero's disadvantages.

They are VERY competitive
Spitfire climb rate, UFO turn rate and now p47 damage model. It's the meta because BnZ isn't reliable to take zeros down.
Any day is a great day whenever Jengar uploads.

I look forward to spading out this plane, I've played through all the other Zeroes and it is oh so satisfying to pull that high loop after their pass and run them down...or trick them into thinking they can hang with you for a turn or two...
Great video! This is probably the hardest zero I flew, I mean... the stock version is painful, but they should add modifications that remove some weight from the plane, like the nose mounted 13mm and the small fuel tank (I think it was the little one in the right wing), so that it can improve the performance a bit, but overall it's a good plane... Until you see the repair cost x)

Great review! Seems like a fun plane, must be even funnier when it's a great pilot behind the stick! I'm have been researching the japanse tech tree. I can't wait for the zero, but I'm more used to boom and zoom. Like with the BF109 and FW190s, so it will be interesting for me! :)

I feel you on the elections me and my friends work at a restaurant and the lockdowns are terrible especially since we’re from New York keep up the videos they make my day!!!
Looks like a nice plane, almost researched the tech tree M5. Here’s a tip, and something I’ve found very helpful. If possible, bind a different button to mgs, and another to cannons, that allows u to try to hit the target when you may just waste ur precious Cannons.

When you've had enough of 5.3 but still want to use the armament from the A7M at 4.7. I like that there is one more planes to use the 13.2mms because of how effective these are on their own in comparison to the older 7.7mms. Even the Zero before this seems difficult to use because it uses 3 different weapons and I like to use separate gun controls.
Can you plz review the italian cant.z1007 bis serie 5 and the italian p.108b serie 2 as o feel like they don't get enough praise...

Great plane but climb rate is horrible
Just started playing the Japanese and A6M5 especially, the stock grind and bad crew is painful with all those crazy turns but it so much fun to do.
It took some time to really understand the zeroes since I am really used to 109s and other pure energy/bnz fighters. I love baiting people with my A6M5 Otsu and when they follow me the jaws of the trap snap. Gonna get the A6M5 Ko in May with the sales for sure (p.s wanneer is nou die klote lockdown is klaar)

Met de Tanzania variant, en de shri lankaanse variant mag iedereen weer een rondje vaccinaties doen, en krijgen we weer strenge maatregelen. Dit gaat door todat wij masaal STOP zeggen).
You arent playing Japanese aircraft right if you dont try blacking out the pilot with every turn
when i grinded japanese tree with the zero you get from that campaing pack its was mindnumming how many people in things that cant turn like p47s or fw190s tried to turn fight me and i started to undestand why zeros have so high br and repair cost. its not only because of the capabilitys of the zero but more that the enemys are just so dumm
The extra armor and the self-sealing fuel tanks are definitely worth it in AB.

I really struggle with the Zeros and all Japanese planes. I'll take your advice and fly them as I have stayed away from them for awhile. Sorry to hear about your lockdown extension. Fortunately here we do not have the draconian restrictions you are facing. Keep well Jengar.

I just wonder how in the heck you have become so good at this game. Is it possible for a console player to be so good? The only thing I can't do in a console is keep the enemy I am dogfighting with on sight like you guys do, the enemy seems to always be on camera.

I find the Hei worse than the Otsu. I don't know what it is, I just do bad at it.

It's a shame that Japan gets paired with the Americans, most of the time my match ends with me getting killed by 5 Germans because I was the last one left.
always amuses me when WT yters refer to themselves or other players as "pilots" and not players in air battles
From Zero to -18K Silver lions, overtiered, expensive and super slow, the others Zeros are more agile and fast, this plane is mediocre and the repair cost is dumb, 4.7 lmao.
In my opinion, the only good thing about this plane is the three 13.2mm MG, it can actually be spammed above 500meters, the original 7.7mm are garbage above 400meters.
Been trying to spade this plane and it's a pain. Definitely more of a support fighter then anything else because the only way you are going to kill anyone is if they are distracted.

if only eh. No i dont get paid, this plane still outturns pretty much anything it faces, might not be the lightest zero, but thats easily adjusted for.
