Well f8fs can out turn most things on their BR actually. By that moment you better corkscrew the bearcat up with anything that's not a Zero/Reppu, and Still have chance to stall it doing verticals with the reppu. But afte this last patch Raining fire, don't cry when you see f8f and f4U going up and catching up or p47s and p51s rolling and turning like yaks at low speed
@@kingghidorah8106 Coming from someone who has played in and against the beer barrel fighter, most Japanese, Italian and German fighters can push it's yankee doodle shit in under most circumstances

You know I'm actually a little scared of this plane even while I'm in my F4U 4 The reason is is because at low altitude the A7M can actually outrun a stock F4U 4 now I don't know about spaded but it definitely is a deadly opponent

Admittedly, Thunderbolt has very few options when it comes to A7M. It loses more speed when turning and doesn't accelerate as well, so it constantly runs the risk of bleeding too much energy.
Which is still better than just running away with no purpose.
Question, for A7M2 Reppu, wasn't 20mm Cannon was supposed to be 4 x 20mm instead of 2 x 20mm historically? I search it in Wikipedia which Reppu is equipped with 2 x 13mm Type 3 Machine Guns and 4 x 20mm Type 99 cannon unless the War Thunder devs make an error.

I have not flown this plane since I spaded it, and spend most of my time in A7M1, then I saw this video and now I love the plane. Been spending most of my time in A7M2, than the A7M1. Thank you for the video and getting me interested in this plane again.

Blame that "crash" on Gaijin. The actual footage showed that you collided with nothing. If you've to review a replay to see yourself hit something when nothing was showing in the actual footage, that's hokey as all hell on Gaijin's part. Was there packet lost?

I always thought the A7M2 would be perfectly fine at 5.3. It is a 1945 plane that has the performance of a 1945 Zero. It should then face contemporary 1945 opponents like P-51D-30, F4U-4, F8F, Tempest, Griffon Spit, Sea Fury, La-7, La-9, etc. I can’t believe it was actually 4.0 at one point. It shows you the incompetence of Gaijin that it took them so long to properly tier this aircraft but I’m happy it’s finally done.
By “1945 Zero” I mean that it has comparable attributes to other 1945 aircraft that the Zero had to 1941-1943 opponents. It is more maneuverable than them and has good T/W but is much slower.
it definitely is in a better spot with this latest change. We're slowly moving in the right dicection when it comes to br's.
Believe it or not this plane was in development before the A6M3 or A6M5

Love that vid. Unlucky with the crash, but thats the most unbelievable ace ive ever seen. Out of interest which servers do u open jengar? All or just EU. Myself and my mate have an argument going on about russian and US servers and ping. I was right up a p47s arse the other day pumping 50cals right into it at point blank range and got zero hits. I was gutted! (US) server. He says that they're fine!

Hey mate, this is still a monster on it´s BR imo. I would not fully agree on this is not a "turnfighter", for I had literally no problem turnfight Spitfires, not talking about other planes. The only weakness is speed (Zero :)) ), but generally this is extremely good killing machine and in combined ground battles due to it´s rocket pods and low alt performance it simply dominates...

all things considered which is better a7m1 or a7m2
Koffeekups a7m1 is a beast at 4.7. Had a guy calling me out for using it
-2, def -2. -1 has a lower BR, to be sure, but the engine on the -2 is noticeably better, and it can also carry rockets, the largest of which come in a pair that can be fired individually, letting you kill 2 cargo ships in 1 run. Lions earnings are actually rather similar, all considered, so other than only having 10 free repairs vs 30, and beginning stock, it can hold its own in moneymaking.
also, stock syndrome is mostly belt based here. just grab universal belts on both guns

That was a clever (if ruthless) business move. Make a grossly OP plane and watch people throw their money at you. Although that time was way too blatant - I mean, the plane still performs admirably at 4.7, lol

The A7M is an absolute beast, I always loose to it when flying my P51D-30, still trying to figure out how to kill one haha.

TechFusion AZ The D-30 is 40mph/70kph faster than the A7M2 at sea level, and that advantage holds up at higher alts too. Just BnZ it, and if you run out of energy advantage, then just drag n bag it for your teammates.
The war thunder stats fro this plane are really wrong, it performs way better than the stats say. It also has awesome rockets .

Jengar Does that apply to Russian planes as well? Specifically the Yak-3 and Yak-9
I'm not Jengar, but I'll still answer... yes. Yak-3 and Yak-9U/UT/P are faster and hold their speed better in straight lines and gentle maneuvers... and in sharp maneuvers too, but if you do those you give the A7M a chance to "cut the corner", catch up and get a good shot at you. They have a lower maximum dive speed than the A7M though, soviet prop fighters have rather low maximum dive speeds overall... out of the Yak's mentioned, the Yak-9P has the best maximum dive speed since it's an all metal version, unlike the 3 and the other 9's(and all other piston engined Yak's in the game).
So, you stay reasonably fast and play hit and run, and hopefully your teammates know how to do this as well. If they do, you can just rush in and out of the fight, taking one enemy out at a time, while leaving the japanese scrambling to get a shot off and in the process slowing down even more.
If your teammates don't know how to do this, then... well, don't go in first and use them as distractions while you pick off the enemies that are focused on them. Chances are you will be left 3-4 vs 1 still, but there's nothing you can do about that.
In short, use your speed and speed retention and hope that your fighter teammates know how to use that as well vs. the japanese.
