looks great, interesting concept but how would they work overlaped?, i noticed once u changed angle the laser had to clean up the new path from the back-fowards to line up with the previous tunnel, and THEN proceed to keep on mining, only once it was aligned so it can continue to cut a flat circle to the desired direction. That also brings me to another issue i can see showing up wich is that if the user does not go in a straight line, the mining process wil become way more inefficient due to the reason above PLUS u don't have a phisical object to mine with, instead u have lasers to mine from range so maybe reducing the radius to the actual laser width would balance it out in contrast to normal drills so each drill has its own utility, 1 can dig deep without the ship needing to push too much in and the vanila will.. have the vanila features (wich are a contrast to the laser allready) THIS IS ALL FEEDBACK FROM A TIRED SPACE ENGINEER SUFFERING IN SERVERS FROM UNBALANCED MODS (he is also 2+ drunk)
@kostasdrossos1410 Like all the videos so far. They are testing videos mostly. And i just recently as 2 days go finished the drills so they arent properly setup yet. And its not using a radius. Its setup with a cylinder shape. I didnt go for the sphere shape for obvious reason like performance and also what its ment to do. But also. I can align the cylinder shape sligthly more to back of the block so when turning it starts mining or carving sooner. Like the actual coding behind it is not me. Im using the framework called ToolCore for my mod. Wich essentially allows tools to be more performant then the standard vanilla tools or tiered block tools. Hence why also the release date is set to a month from yesterday approx so arround the 10 april is the release. Because finishing models, properly balancing them and everything. But most of all they are going to be balanced for performance. Thats the first prio for my OmniTools.
@@oscargaming7582 It is not a mod per say. ToolCore is a framework(scripted) wich mod creators can use to make special ship tools like i have made. My Mod is called OminTools and isent ready until april 10th
@@raidfire85 Can you please do me a favour for an engine query inside SE?? I have downloaded this mod called ARYLYN Drive Systems, and its biggest engine is the RT-10 Engine, but the engine voxel is way too big, and I can't seem to be outside of it, so I can't put it onto a grid. Pressing V does not help, is there a way to zoom out the character to be outside the voxel far enough?? This is in Survival mode.
If only real underground mining were this easy....

Very nice and interesting, but I still prefer DrillSystem
ToolCore is more performant than standard tools. Hence why ive made my modpack arround the ToolCore framework
@@raidfire85 Sorry, I have not used that mod, can you show me the Steam link so I can try it?

@@raidfire85 Ok, sorry for my confusion!!
