I thought my first exposure to you was your talk on Grace that once and for all, cleared up my misconceptions on that subject. However when I was in Pendleton OR, on my mission, a member had a book store of sorts in his house and he had your book on success. I was a big fan of paperback psychology of this sort and I remember thinking, what does this guy know that I don't? After all I'm one year older than you. I read your book and enjoyed it. So 44 years later I bust out laughing when you mentioned the title. I've never thought about it since then. I connected the dots real quick and thought, he looked a lot more handsome on the book cover. Oh well, I looked better then as well.
I enjoyed this so much. Brother Wilcox has been one of my favorite speakers for a long time.
Now I can see your background on your wonderful talk at General Conference. I have a wonderful creative daughter that loves the Arts, and music; she too experienced school bullying, something similar. Thank you for your words, I will tell her about you, Wonderful life story! Thank you.

I never thought that you too were born in Africa and that you wanted more art and creativity, theater, etc. for your children. I was born in Kivu-Congo and was adopted in Belgium at -10 years old. My children also attended a school with art, creativity and theater. They are now Bishops and Counselors in the Church. Is it Steve Perry, the singer? He sang on my baptism that wonderfull song "WHERE IS HEAVEN' in Brussels. I feld as I was in haeven! Thank you for your warm words. Greetings from Belgium

I've never been to Africa but it still bothers me when I see people treating a dog or cat as if it were a human. These pets get refrigerated pet food from the store (those individuals serving containers have to cost a pretty penny!), a stroller to be paraded around in and costumes/outfits to match the holiday or season. Then they go to the supermarket with their humans because they emotionally support them. Neglected or underprivileged children would love to be treated so good. 😥
