  • In this episode, Ganel-Lyn talks with Brad Wilcox about choosing to believe and choosing to have faith. Brad Wilcox, second counselor in the Young Men General Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the LDS Church), talks with Ganel-Lyn all about choosing to have faith and choosing to wait for miracles. God isn't going to force us to believe. That opportunity is entirely up to us.

yes, multitask but don't take on more if it will mess up your faith path! (my words)...

This is great! I met Brad as a youth when he spoke at our local youth conference in the Pacific North West. I then saw him again at the temple cafeteria in Santiago when I was a missionary in the North Mission. I then saw Brad's picture from his youth as a missionary in a families home in Los Andes, Chile. What a small world. I had no idea the strain his mission was experiencing.
Thank you for the video. I love his faith and ability to speak. Hopefully some day I get to meet him again!

It was so good to hear about someone else multi tasking. As a mother to young children who finds it really hard in this stage in life to find time set aside for "manna", this was really comforting to me.

I love where Dr Brad says " we soon find its not quite as easy as Satan makes it out to be. " that seems to describe how some of us learn by using our agency to learn with a surety through trial and error that the Lord s way is the right way. The Lord wants us to grow to the point that we desire to use our own free Will to follow Him.
He won't force us. That's why we are here and why we have our agency. What a smart and beautiful Plan!!!
Thank you for this wonderful episode!!!

When Brad Wilcox came to Lethbridge Alberta for a time up for a woman I was blessed to meet him and he gave me the hugest hug I have ever received I just recently become a widow and he will never know how much that meant to me and it was a miracle that I even got to go to that time out for women. Please tell Brad thank you for being who he is

David Koresh and Marshall Applewhite said the same things at Brad Wilcox...(watch the documentaries and testimonials). They also told their followers they had to believe or "have faith" first and then they'd receive a spirtual confirmation that they were God's chosen. It worked and they became devout followers, because it shifts focus away from rationality to feelings, and that's how human emotions work. When you internalize the belief, than your emotions will match those beliefs. When you actually believe you're special enough to among the 0.05% of the earth's population to belong to "the true church", than it feels really, really good no matter which religion you belong to.

No, his tone is the same, the message is different. He's still demanding that people just blindly follow the church regardless of what actually can be proved.

And I know that being assigned to his mission even though I never was able to physically make it to Santiago was one of the greatest examples of God's love in my life. He is one of the greatest men I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with and from the many phone conversations I was able to share, he helped me through some of my family's worst moments. He says he knows that he was there and assigned by God: it's absolutely true without a shadow of a doubt to me. I am where I am today, still holding to the iron rod because of the words he shared with me. I may never meet him in person, but someday I hope I do. I'm thankful to God for the gift that Brad Wilcox is to me.

Oh my goodness I needed this message!!! I felt the love from both of you. In our weeknight gospel discussion class with our Missionaries this past week we discussed faith. The Elders gave us an assignment to study Ether 12:6 this week. Wow! This video opened my eyes to recognize that I have embraced faith over the years and that has what has strengthened my testimony and made me who I am today. I also can see why others who have learned the same as I and been in the same experiences have not grown. They did not embrace their faith.
I love the energy of Brother Wilcox. Thank you so much.

the gospel of that Lord whose witness he is, but his account, perhaps because it contains truths and concepts that the saints and the world are not yet prepared to receive, has so far not been given to men. On May 6, 1833, however, the Lord did reveal to Joseph Smith eleven verses of the Baptist’s writings, and promised that ‘the fulness of the record of John’ would be revealed when the faith of men entitled them to receive it. (D&C 93:6-18.)

God requires perfection to get into heaven. You need the righteousness of God.
    Phil. 3:9
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Forgiveness of sins, eternal life, exaltation and salvation are all free.
That is how much God loves you!
Eph. 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the GIFT of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
    Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there's perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books.

I have never seen the hand of God in anything, and I don't think anyone else has either. Sure one can convince themselves, but there is no evidence for it. Anything and everything can be contributed to a God if you try enough and have a big enough imagination.

What a weak assessment of the word of wisdom! How about the letter of the law versus the spirit of the law. You don’t drink that cup of coffee but you engorge yourself with a bunch of crap food that will shorten your life and that then becomes ok as long as you didn’t drink that coffee. It is a joke!

  • @princessfartsparkles6681
