I was out doing some off roading in a 55 Oldsmobile in fall of 71 and came across this thing. Was still under construction, so took some time to build, did not know what it was until years later.

I'm in art class but I wasn't actually sent to watch this. I was curious about the Spiral Jetty. The explanation is amazing, but can I just say that both of your voices are probably two of the most relaxing voices I've ever heard?

Spiral Jetty also made it into a game called ( The legend of Zelda breath of the wild )
In the game it’s called Rist Peninsula.

Exactly what I've learned in class, except the 2:51 comparison which I added on my sheet (I've got a very good mark at the exam, almost perfect score). Wether you are a lazy art student who didn't study and now needs to make up fast for the exams or just a curious being, I higly recommend you this video to learn what's Spiral Jetty, or Land art.

lol. Really wasn't expecting to hear the soft crunching off top. Nor was I expecting a video on land as art. Very interest, much unique. I loved the geography lesson.
I can only imagine the permissions required to manipulate the land this way and I'm curious about other contemporary examples. Who is allowed to do this sort of thing today? For what purpose(s)? Is there any space left for it or is everywhere "owned"? I love earthworks either way.
