I didn't make a roux. Instead I just blended leftover stuffing/dressing instead came out great. Thanks 😊.
Buddhist Monks couldn't make feel better than your narration, calm uplift & damn good tips & food.
Thank You for years of Comfort🌹
I love it when he cooks things that regular mortals cook. It makes him seem so down to earth!
He's the best eh. Everything he has done that I try is awesome
Just cooked this, the only difference is I used curry, and I didn't have any Tarragon so I went went without it. It was soooo tasty! Everyone one loved it! Thanks a bunch! Much appreciated!
My Mom would cut and freeze the leftover turkey and then at the end of January she would make and bake turkey pot pies and freeze them. We loved those!
I still can't believe how amazing you make the most simple dishes look. Absolutely mouthwatering.
I am always in utter disbelief whenever Chef John announces the featured dish but I am quickly reassured when he says "thats right!" and I realize that this culinary adventure will indeed be taking place over the next several minutes.
I don't think I could ever get sick of turkey sandwiches. Yet this looks just as yummy
I made this three or four times already and it is always absolutely delicious. First time I made this recipe, I used turkey but other times I used chicken and jalapeño sausage and prefer those meats over turkey better. Nevertheless, this is a must-try recipe! 👌🏼
I diced up turkey and leftover ham in it too....so delicious.
I love your personality. You really add to the recipes and you make them so easy. Thanks!!
I made this for dinner today and it was amazing
Thanks! I'm making this for my family tomorrow!
This was delicious made it earlier tonight! Thanks for the recipe chef!

I like big Bowls and I cannot lie, other chefs cannot deny thats easier to easier to mix in a big bowl...Classic Chef john!
It's good to see a little humor in these cooking recipe video's .. Awesome job!
Tremendously gorgeous Turkey Casserole dish! This is my dream come true! 😍
That hotdish would cause a riot at any midwestern church supper! Yummy!
Crunchy well-done bits are mouthgasmic
Beautiful Turkey Casserole!
That looks so awesome!
Best turkey noodle casserole I've ever tasted. Thank you so much!
DELICIOUS!! I used tuna and thought the regular potato chips would be to salty.. NO! I couldn't get it into my mouth fast enough!!! Thanks for the wonderful recipe Chef John!
Outstanding recipe Chef John! I make turkey tetrazzini the day after thanksgiving every year. Straight out of Betty Crocker. Cream, mushrooms, sherry, pasta, Parmesan, turkey...a few other ingredients. The family looks forward to it every year.
Looks so yummy! I love you Chef John!!!
Awesome. I do the chip topping with my tuna casserole - love it!
@foodwishes I'm not talking about cooked flour, because even I use flour when I make gorgonzola sauce and pasta, to thicken the sauce. I'm talking about burned flour. When you put it directly in the pan and gets dark/brown, without any butter or liquid, just onion.Thats when its not good for health. I wasn't talking directly about your cooking or this video, just in general. I respect you as a chef and I would never doubt your cooking technique.
man this looks so good
Thank you thank you for sharing this recipe!!!
This is so delicious ! I made it , I substituted tarragon with dry thyme! 🎉😊

Hi Chef. My husband made Tandoori Turkey this year for thanksgiving. We just gave it a new avatar ( look) with your recipe. I didn’t have to add Garam masala since the turkey had tandoori masala and I sautéed veggies like celery, mushrooms, onions, jalapeños and kale and mixed in with the turkey in this casserole. Thanks for the recipe. Itcc CDC was helpful
Happy Holidays!!!!
Delicious, with the DeRoulet touch to it!!!
I appreciate you posting this BEFORE Thanksgiving so that we can be prepared when the time comes!! (:

This looks REALLY good! Up here in Canada we've already had our Thanksgiving (early Oct.), but wait 'til Xmas!
I just made this tonight.. With smoked turkey.
Omg.. So good!
I wish I could attach a Pic.
Damn , that looks great! Thanks for the recipe.
Oh god the looks so Good!!!
You guys really should make this! I prepped it to bake on Thanksgiving, and it is so good (although I didn't have the spices), I was eating it out of the mixing bowl, hahaha!!
hey chef john ive been watching your videos for 4 years now ever since i was an undergrad at university....you've thought me to cook when i moved out of the dorms....THANKS
You sir are a class act!!
Love this idea! I'm going to use this when I have leftover roasted chicken too! Thanks Chef HUGS :)

i like yummy casseroles and i cannot lie
@theeSHXT
Fall is the season for casseroles. I love casseroles.
so easy to learn tnx a lot chef :D
I'm going to make that soon
This looks great frfr
Did this today. Great. Used leftover smoked turkey.
I go a different route with mine, but your looks great also.
I know this is an old recipe post, but made it last night and it was/is a hit. Kind of a mash up between pot-pie and mac-n-cheese :-] I added black pepper, a little feta cheese, and only used 6 oz of monterey jack, was still PLENTY cheesy! Talk about comfort food!
You are the king appreciate you😍
geez...I think I am looking forward to this day after casserole more so than the Thanksgiving Day turkey dinner...
holy crap that looks soooo good :)
This tasted like heaven.
*drools* I have to try this!
Oh Chef John!! I love you...and your videos :D
awesome!
This one looks so good I have share it with my Facebook crew! I agree, too, it is roux season. Great tip on the flour. ps... mushroom soup rocks and you are a ninja for adding garam masala :-)
My family loves a good turkey tetrazini after Thanksgiving. Kind of similar to this (not really) and a great option if your kinfolk like Italian.
I don't need appetizers anymore chef John... thanks to your vids! ;D
that looks so damn delicious. I wish it was thanksgiving again.
I made this, it was quite good. Be sure to add plenty of cheese and go easy on the peppers and onions, they will overpower the rest of the food if you use too much bell pepper (from experience of course), if you are making this after Christmas.
I think I would make it with Turkey gravy and then add a few egg yokes for extra richness . great looking meal.
Wow, this looks delicious! I'm definitely going to have to try this recipe out. I'm curious, though, do you have any tips on how to make sure the turkey is cooked all the way through? I don't want to end up making anyone sick!
omg that looks amazingggg!!!!!!!!!!!11
Amen to that!!!
4:27 when you move it really slow its just makes me soo hungry!
@MickLawification Yes, we can. Whole turkeys like the size we might buy for Thanksgiving and Christmas are hard to find but not impossible and there's almost always turkey breasts in the grocery store. Actually, this Thanksgiving (last month for me as I'm Canadian, not American) my family and I only roasted turkey breast because it's faster and only four of us were together for the holiday.
This recipe is extremely versatile, for instance, I didn't want a pepper flavor with mine, so I did sauteed broccoli. I don't like cream of mushroom, so I used cream of onion. The one absolute thing you should not change or omit is the garam masala. The flavor it brings elevates this 1970's casserole to, "2nd helping please!"
"I like big bowls and i cannot lie.."---> ROTFLMAO!
I've never had a casserole ever in my life (Chinese background). I'm going to make my mom make this :D it looks so yummy!
@you @are @awesome
never made a casserole with Turkey. we make rolled turkey taco. might have to try this. thanks :)
I have ‘liked’ your video 5 times, I have referred back to it, each time I have re-like the video, strange!! PLEASE keep up the good work!!
if i have turkey i make sandwiches. thats the best part of thanksgiving! although this would be something to try..
Nice pronunciation on the garam masala :) and of course the casserole look delicious! Wish I have a Thanksgiving dinner :D
