This is a thing people do, this is a KIND OF person. I had a good friend in California (weak landlord rights) who rented out a place to a girl. Turns out her dad was a lawyer, and all his kids did this sort of stuff. It took 10,000 USD, a full tank of gas in her jeep, and some other bullshit for her to move out. This was in like 2005 as well so 10,000 was a hefty chunk o change back then

Man, tenant laws, really, REALLY, need a lot of updates. Hell, laws need updates in general. The reason my family demolish my grandma´s home, is because getting read of ILLEGAL tenants is a goddamm nightmare.
