In the book the clans were a great force, even if they didn't do much for the plot. Like, every time IOI tried locking up a key for themselves, an organised attack by the clans ruined their plans. So the Halo Spartans clearly being a clan brings me a lot of joy

If you read the book, then you know how disappointing this movie battle is. In the book there is also a sky battle with all your favorite fighters, and a space battle with all your favorite spaceships.

@@L3oT1g3r- more than that. Battelestars, halo ships, basically every single sci-fi spaceship imaginable. The air battle is even cooler. Ace combat planes, fighter aircraft from all kinds of nations. Planes from all sides of Sci-fi. Yeah the movie kind of sucked ass in representing a lot of things.

There was very little about this movie that was even remotely close to the book. Like yes, there were 3 challenges all for the ownership of the game... and they had people with those names... but literally everything else was different. I liked both the movie and the book, but the two basically had nothing to do with each other...
And the 2nd book was a dumpster fire...
I give him credit for trying because it takes a lot to master a book into a movie.

They even got H2A models for the Elite and Grunt too. Though there would've been a good variety of Spartans, considering this is after Reach released even in the movie universe. I can't imagine someone there picking an ugly ass Halo 4 Grunt but not one person rocking their own unique Reach Spartan or Halo 3 Chief or something.
Great clip though. I'm glad they did a little bit more than just grab some of the newest models from Halo 4 and 5 and toss them in randomly throughout the battle.

Well, to be more exact, Oasis became synonymous with the Internet. Or to be more precise, the "most used Internet server in the US." Although IOI was a transnational corporation, it had to confront every lover of the 80s and every detractor of IOI (basically, any conscientious defender of freedom of expression).
In short, although IOI was a fearsome force that controlled entire countries economically, it had to face ENTIRE GENERATIONS of Oasis lovers.
The whole battle didn't even last 20 minutes , but it was epic

as much of a fucking pander this movie was.. the amount of detail and work put in was really nice. And that scene with the kids running through the street with VR stuff on, only to show they're a bunch of UNSC troopers lighting up one of the IOI walkers never fails to make me smile
Really wish they had poured the whole budget into this scene, let’s be fair we only wanted to see the Iron Giant drop kick Imperial AT-STs while a squad of UNSC Spartans and Marines destroy a squad of Modern Warfare Russians while being covered by 40k Space Marines providing Air Support.

There's multiple franchises with giant mechs and none made it into this battle. I'd love to have seen some Battlemechs clunky around in the background filling the spaces of those generic mechs they added.
Speaking of mechs I wish they had the imperial dreadnoughts from 40k cause man those IOI goons would be running for there lives

I think it wouldve been cooler if they added spaceships bombarding the shield too. Like just imagine, the Battlestar Galactica, the Star Trek Enterprise, and other famous ships just hovering above the shield and just pelting the shield with ordinance while the players assaulted the shield from the ground.
But from a movie standpoint that wouldve been too easy cause they fleets could just hover above the place and shoot it to pieces, so I get why they didnt add spaceships when the players assaulted the keep.
The Book had an aerial and space Battle
Also do consider how close the battle was proximity wise to both sides. The ground war turned into a giant melee, that's the last place u want to try to be throwing around ordnance in since ur very likely to end up wiping out large amounts of friendlies unintentionally
The book did that
I wouldn't consider it being easy and more of a copyright and budget issue, god knows how much money went into licencing all the IP's just to use like Spartans or Tracer in the movie.
