Scientists- "This is our new state of the art exo suit to defeat our enemies" Military- "What a amazing piece of technology well take it" The world- "With this nothing can stop us now" Gamers-" Where's the boost jumping"
@Night shade First off how does this suit look anything like space marine armor at all if anything its just a more bulky version of the cod advanced warfare exo suit without boost jumping second you say how its laughable to throw cheap units at the enemy to win but you must have forgotten about another faction in 40k that does the exactly the same thing called the Imperial Guard and plus their equipment probably is good cause all the main characters showed us that the suits have alot of potential with training thats really the big issue was nobody had any training well that and they were literally fighting an enemy that can hit the retry button as many times as they want which is pretty much a huge problem for whatever their fighting so that too
@Night shade well if that's the case then these guys are lacking but unfortunately until we actually start weaponry revolving around the exo suit I still cant see us doing something better but that's just me
@Night shade how the hell did you look at these suits and think its something from warhammer? If anything, this armor looks more like its related to fall out. Add a few plating, better helmet and you should have something similar, and there is no need to compare warhammer with this, this cheap gear ain't built to fight stuff in warhammer, only for the enemies in this film alone.
madness1383 This is the UDF’s last desperate offensive against the Mimics, so they need bodies. They also underestimated the amount of training required to properly use the suits, since Rita (because she had the power to reset the day in Verdun.) had time to figure out how her suit worked through the resets. The UDF naturally didn’t know this and just thought “Hey, If Rita Vrataski can use this suit to kill hundreds of mimics on her first day, we can just mass produce them and give them to troops with minimal training!” Naturally, that wasn’t the case.
have you ever heard of conscripts? when the Nazis got desperate they threw almost their entire population at Russia. children elders, and even wounded. seems like they're doing the same thing, just cheap meat shields so the humans have more time
I mean its better then training a soldier for months just him to die within minutes upon invasion, like look at metal bitch at the scene, she was battle-hardened but was killed with one shot to the back, what a waste, so let's buy some cheap men and woman, and call it a day
Beetlesiri that was Rita, emily blunts character specialising in speed and melee with a helicopter rotor as a sword, hence no forearm guns, cos when everything else.is out she'll need other stuff
You still don't understand my point. They could give them something like the noisy cricket from men in black. Something that is cool and futuristic. Not just some pistol that they probably got compensation from the manufacturer to have in the film.
oh look fully automatic rapid fire lever action weapons of mass destruction... its set in 2020; I know it's never explained how the Battlejackets are properly controlled & manoeuvred, or how the user controls the shoulder cannons, but considering how they design the aesthetic of the vehicles and weapons to still appear entirely conventional; im not too sure why you think 'futuristic' needs to come into it

@@jbabb8881 you can't really compare a battle from more than 80 years ago to some kind of weird, futuristic war like this movie which is in like year 3000 where they have ultra high-tech drones, robots and whatever other machines. you'd think they might have developed new war strategies within those 1000+ years and use drones and robots to do the frontline work instead of sending soldiers to their unnecessary death to create a meat wall like in old wars where they had no other choices due to tech limitations. (just read the movie is in 2020 but my point still applies because it's obviously taking place in an alternative world where humans advanced very quickly with a different lore.)

Tom Cruise truly is one of the most talented undead actors out there, willing to die multiple times on a set. Not many vampire actors are willing to go that far.
I friggin love this type of Sci-Fi: heavy, industrial and a mix between CG and practical effects. I think it's more realistic than the sterile, holographic futures we see nowadays.
One thing that is easy to miss about this movie: The true catalyst that thrusts Tom Cruz's character into his destiny is (interestingly enough) that cocky general that literally forces him to part-take in the counter-attack despite any and all objections. That guy would have never discovered who he really was on his own. You see destiny acts through tough people that force storms of adversity to rain down on us forcing us in turn to dig deep into ourselves and discover who we really are in ways we could have never even remotely imagined at the beginning.
Do people realize this is like a futuristic version of what actually happened in WW2? They lost France and Germany they said in the beginning. They dropped in a beach where they were already getting fired on. This is a lot like D-Day and let's honor those soldiers who gave up their life on that one day. Since it's June right now it's the same month d day occurred. Never forget
MrReasonabubble But that's not the reason those brave men stormed the beaches of Normandy. They didn't do it for the gays, they did it for the safety of their families

Scientists- "This is our new state of the art exo suit to defeat our enemies"
Military- "What a amazing piece of technology well take it"
The world- "With this nothing can stop us now"
Gamers-" Where's the boost jumping"
Even CMC powered combat suit is way better. But still i cant say no, to the Mark VI Corvus. Makes the terran CMC primitive by standards.
@@imperialtrooper927 seriously imagine sending these guys against a tyranids invasion or chaos
why do they seem like they have no training and no discipline but get to wear some super expensive looking gear
madness1383 This is the UDF’s last desperate offensive against the Mimics, so they need bodies. They also underestimated the amount of training required to properly use the suits, since Rita (because she had the power to reset the day in Verdun.) had time to figure out how her suit worked through the resets. The UDF naturally didn’t know this and just thought “Hey, If Rita Vrataski can use this suit to kill hundreds of mimics on her first day, we can just mass produce them and give them to troops with minimal training!”
Naturally, that wasn’t the case.

have you ever heard of conscripts? when the Nazis got desperate they threw almost their entire population at Russia. children elders, and even wounded. seems like they're doing the same thing, just cheap meat shields so the humans have more time
I'm not so sure they did. Russia, on the other hand, did do that.
I mean its better then training a soldier for months just him to die within minutes upon invasion, like look at metal bitch at the scene, she was battle-hardened but was killed with one shot to the back, what a waste, so let's buy some cheap men and woman, and call it a day

Then what the he'll does he need a pussy pistol for then? It just seems completely out of place.

They're literally just walking to their death
I think that applies to most infantry soldiers in a major battle
That’s war
You didnt see actual clips from D-day have you?
Yeah we know
@@jbabb8881 you can't really compare a battle from more than 80 years ago to some kind of weird, futuristic war like this movie which is in like year 3000 where they have ultra high-tech drones, robots and whatever other machines. you'd think they might have developed new war strategies within those 1000+ years and use drones and robots to do the frontline work instead of sending soldiers to their unnecessary death to create a meat wall like in old wars where they had no other choices due to tech limitations.
(just read the movie is in 2020 but my point still applies because it's obviously taking place in an alternative world where humans advanced very quickly with a different lore.)
I wish i could re-experience this fantastic masterpiece

Warner Bros spent $100 million marketing this movie. That said, I never heard of it until I chanced upon a CZcams review of it.
Well from what I just saw of it, its a total cluster F movie that has no basis in any real war type environment. First, the character TC played was totally unprepared for what he got into. One thing that is easy to miss about this movie:
The true catalyst that thrusts Tom Cruz's character into his destiny is (interestingly enough) that cocky general that literally forces him to part-take in the counter-attack despite any and all objections.
