Wouldn't be the first time. He already solo cleared the Hell in his own universe.
we go out of our way to light the torch that rallies the sentinels on the first level. Why wouldn’t he expect backup?

I love that doomguy was genuinely prepared to fight against all of hell on his own. And I also love that it took all of hell to even seal him away. Not kill him, trap him. He looked genuinely confused when backup came.

And managed to do it in the most badass way possible.
I like how as soon as he hopped into the ballista, the gunners, knowing EXACTLY what he was intending to do, just gave him a thumbs up and launched his ass directly through the wall of the Dark Lord's fortress.
Cause the Slayer has done crazier things and the Sentinels are probably used to it.
I wish there was more of Slayer and Sentinel action. I love moments like these cuz he's doing the most outlandish and extreme shit and the Sentinels are always there to put dip their knees in it as well
I love that launching Doomguy into the battlefield is a very valid tactic within the Sentinels.

Doom slayer getting backup was not to make sure he lives, it was to get him to the dark lord as soon as possible. It would've took him awhile to get the dark lord by himself.

Ok first of all. Doomguy wouldnt die even if he didnt have back up. If he can 1v1 dark lord and still not he tired and have no scratch then he would solo the demons. It'll just take him a longer time to get to dark Lord

@@apuapu4545 Well, the last time he was just some mortal, and even then all hell managed to do was knock him out and put him into a coffin, the one we see in doom eternal is quite literally immortal, never gets tired, could probbably dismember the icon of sin with his bare hands if he felt like it, and his armor is basically indestructible.
I love how the Sentinels don't even question the Slayer wanting to launch himself like a shell at the walls.
There's no doubt he's done this before and they're like, "here we go again: just like old times!".

Seems fitting that Doomguy has to essentially kill him self after these thousands of years, and dimension traveling to avenge Daisy his rabbit. They took everything from Doomguy, and he finally took everything from them, a fitting end for him.

I think one of my favorite parts is that not only do you bring a Sentinel army with you, but you actually see them WINNING against Hell: as you enter the city, you see their ships, soldiers, and artillery through-out, laying waste to everything.
Well they were trained by the best
It was so good to actually see the Sentinels in action, despite some inconsistencies in them being able to get there. They were winning the original war against hell too. Only treachery allowed them to be defeated. They are the ancestors to modern humans, but significantly stronger and more advanced

Sentinels were actually winning against hell.
They were (and still are) tremendously powerful and clap demons. The only thing that allowed their defeat was betrayal and civil war amongst each other. They are beasts.

A lone marine, mortally wounded after fighting demons in hell for eons after losing his family, and then somehow getting rescued by angelic beings who turned him into a god and now this.... I did actually have a hard time putting Him down as I keep getting hit by him and he healed still I felt very happy when I killed the devil
yeah not mentioning (not sure if it still works on dark lord) that his shield bashes and blade swings could have been countered by chaingun´s shield mod as it absorbed the hits and therefore did not granted dark lord the "life steal" effect
I thought after you defeat him he gonna get out of the suit and actually fight with you but i was wrong , pretty disappointing

I like the facial interaction between the Betrayer and him.
He clearly tried to keep that angry: "my business" face, but simply can't.
Despite the fact he knows he isn't the only one who wants to end this all, he simply can't hide shock in his face.
Maybe it was due the fact he knows what force they're facing to and he wouldn't even occur to think, that someone would decide to fight it directly.
Or it was the behaviour he encounters. Every time he met someone, they behave cold, fear him, or almost worship him. And now, when he stands on the edge of the total end, the army of last resistance, stands next to him and don't fear him anymore, because they are brothers.

@@Nephilim27 id was pressuring him to stop delaying soundtracks as it was keeping the entire development cycle back but Mick wanted to perfect every track which lead to fighting and he just quit after that. Real shame cause he’s the best composer for soundtracks this generation

The entire Doom franchise has been spent soloing the entirety of Hell and somehow we went through the Warp to the 40k universe.

I just got to this part, paused the game and hopped on CZcams to rewatch it.
The part where the Night Sentinels show up to support the Doom Slayer really raises my excitement. It’s like a reunion after they were separated by civil war and betrayal. Can’t get wrong with the Atlan casually beating the shit out of a Titan begging for forgiveness, and the catapult crew being used to Doom Slayer using their weapon as a form of transportation.
